Amen Sister Dorine.

"My kingdom is not of this world." John 18:36. He would not accept the earthly throne.
     The government under which Jesus lived was corrupt and oppressive; on every hand were crying abuses,--extortion, intolerance, and grinding cruelty. Yet the Saviour attempted no civil reforms. He attacked no national abuses, nor condemned the national enemies. He did not interfere with the authority or administration of those in power. He who was our example kept aloof from earthly governments. Not because He was indifferent to the woes of men, but because the remedy did not lie in merely human and external measures. To be efficient, the cure must reach men individually, and must regenerate the heart.
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

"It was not until after Christ's ascension to His Father, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the believers, that the disciples fully appreciated the Saviour's character and mission."

"After they had received the baptism of the Spirit, they began to realize that they had been in the very presence of the Lord of glory."

"As the sayings of Christ were brought to their remembrance, their minds were opened to comprehend the prophecies, and to understand the miracles which He had wrought.

"The wonders of His life passed before them, and they were as men awakened from a dream."

"They realized that 'the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only-begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.' John 1:14."

"Christ had actually come from God to a sinful world to save the fallen sons and daughters of Adam." "

"The disciples now seemed, to themselves, of much less importance than before they realized this. They never wearied of rehearsing His words and works. His lessons, which they had but dimly understood, now came to them as a fresh revelation. The Scriptures became to them a new book."

How about "US" ?? Do "WE" become weary of rehearsing His Mercy & Grace.??

===========================
1
O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
  In the light of His glory and grace.
2
Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
O’er us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conqu’rors we are!
3
His Word shall not fail you, He promised;
Believe Him and all will be well;
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

  Not by the decisions of courts or councils or legislative assemblies, not by the patronage of worldly great men, is the kingdom of Christ established, but by the implanting of Christ's nature in humanity through the work of the Holy Spirit. "As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1:12, 13. Here is the only power that can work the uplifting of mankind. And the human agency for the accomplishment of this work is the teaching and practicing of the word of God.

Draw close to God and He will draw close to you. Submit your all to Him and through the power of the Holy Spirit work to uplift and draw others to Christ. We are living in awesome times. As we see prophecy being fulfilled we rejoice because we know our redemption draws nigh.
But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press  toward the mark. Phil. 3:13,14

Amen, Brother Beacon and Sister Dorine!

Let us appreciate the kingdom of God--how it starts, and the way it is advanced! When the heart is fully surrendered to God who saves us solely by His grace, the Holy Spirit comes within to create a new heart that is imbued with all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing. By a living union and communion with Christ, we are enabled to obey God up to the light He has shown us, gladly doing God's will!

"And when He was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, He answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. And He said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it" (Luke 17:20-22).

"It is as true now as in apostolic days, that without the illumination of the divine Spirit, humanity cannot discern the glory of Christ. The truth and the work of God are unappreciated by a world-loving and compromising Christianity. Not in the ways of ease, of earthly honor or worldly conformity, are the followers of the Master found. They are far in advance, in the paths of toil, and humiliation, and reproach, in the front of the battle 'against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.' Ephesians 6:12, R. V. And now, as in Christ's day, they are misunderstood and reproached and oppressed by the priests and Pharisees of their time." {The Desire of Ages, page 508, paragraph 4}

Let us go forward by appreciating the kingdom of God that is within us by a genuine conversion with Christ. Then, let us go forth into this world as missionaries, inviting others to come to Christ and experience His kingdom within as well!
"When we live by faith on the Son of God, the fruits of the Spirit will be seen in our lives; not one will be missing." {The Desire of Ages, 676.4}

Amen my dear family! It is time to consider how we relate to our Savior and King. As our Brother Beacon pointed out "Do "WE" become weary of rehearsing His Mercy & Grace?"

      It is as true now as in apostolic days, that without the illumination of the divine Spirit, humanity cannot discern the glory of Christ. The truth and the work of God are unappreciated by a world-loving and compromising Christianity. Not in the ways of ease, of earthly honor or worldly conformity, are the followers of the Master found. They are far in advance, in the paths of toil, and humiliation, and reproach, in the front of the battle "against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12, R. V. And now, as in Christ's day, they are misunderstood and reproached and oppressed by the priests and Pharisees of their time.
     The kingdom of God comes not with outward show. The gospel of the grace of God, with its spirit of self-abnegation, can never be in harmony with the spirit of the world. The two principles are antagonistic. "The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14.

The "natural man" does  not keep the commandments of God, no not one. But, the wise will understand, for they walk in the paths of toil, humiliation, and reproach. As our Sister Dorine and Pastor Sean have shared,  it is through the work of the Holy Spirit by the implanting of Christ's nature in humanity that we are changed into the image or our Savior and do the works of God.
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

     The Kingdom of God is only established in our hearts by faith in Jeus, through the unction of the Holy Spirit. Will we surrender through faith in Jesus all of the things of this world, all of our sins to Jesus?

======================
1
Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
2
Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.
3
Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.
4
Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.
5
Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.
6
Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure-store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.

As the disciples searched the prophecies that testified of Christ, they were brought into fellowship with the Deity, and learned of Him who had ascended to heaven to complete the work He had begun on earth. They recognized the fact that in Him dwelt knowledge which no human being, unaided by divine agency, could comprehend. They needed the help of Him whom kings, prophets, and righteous men had foretold. With amazement they read and reread the prophetic delineations of His character and work. How dimly had they comprehended the prophetic scriptures! how slow they had been in taking in the great truths which testified of Christ! Looking upon Him in His humiliation, as He walked a man among men, they had not understood the mystery of His incarnation, the dual character of His nature. Their eyes were holden, so that they did not fully recognize divinity in humanity. But after they were illuminated by the Holy Spirit, how they longed to see Him again, and to place themselves at His feet! How they wished that they might come to Him, and have Him explain the scriptures which they could not comprehend! How attentively would they listen to His words! What had Christ meant when He said, "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now"? John 16:12. How eager they were to know it all! They grieved that their faith had been so feeble, that their ideas had been so wide of the mark, that they had so failed of comprehending the reality.

Recently my thirst to understand prophecy has intensified. Not just in bits and pieces but to be able to put it all together so that all the puzzle pieces fit perfectly. It seems like an overwhelming task but the Lord is convicting me and with all the information there is on the internet through the EG White writings and our own libraries there is absolutely no excuse for ignorance or confusion. I'm excited about this commitment. Not just for information (as important as that is) but to experience a deeper relationship with Jesus that can not be moved no matter what. This means setting my alarm a couple of hours earlier than normal. If Jesus needed to get up well before dawn to spend time with His Father in preparation for the day ahead how much more do I need the same? Maybe some who are reading with us are experiencing the same conviction for a closer walk with Christ this coming year. Please join us in sharing your thoughts and experiences that the Holy Spirit is placing upon your heart.

Amen dear Sister Dorine!  It is such a blessing to see the pieces fit together. I started study in the trumpets to better understand the King of the North. I am now more excited about the trumpets than the KON. We know that Daniel and Revelation are one Book. They reveal the same messages but often from another view. Like the apostles we will experience the same. The days will come when we will look back with longing upon the opportunities we now enjoy. Some of us are awakening to the Truths we have been given. Never before has so much truth been revealed, yet been neglected. Let us study and work as never before!!

 "The days will come," He said, turning to His disciples, "when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it." Because it is not attended by worldly pomp, you are in danger of failing to discern the glory of My mission. You do not realize how great is your present privilege in having among you, though veiled in humanity, Him who is the life and the light of men. The days will come when you will look back with longing upon the opportunities you now enjoy to walk and talk with the Son of God. Because of their selfishness and earthliness, even the disciples of Jesus could not comprehend the spiritual glory which He sought to reveal unto them. It was not until after Christ's ascension to His Father, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the believers, that the disciples fully appreciated the Saviour's character and mission. After they had received the baptism of the Spirit, they began to realize that they had been in the very presence of the Lord of glory. As the sayings of Christ were brought to their remembrance, their minds were opened to comprehend the prophecies, and to understand the miracles which He had wrought. The wonders of His life passed before them, and they were as men awakened from a dream. They realized that "the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only-begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." John 1:14. Christ had actually come from God to a sinful world to save the fallen sons and daughters of Adam. The disciples now seemed, to themselves, of much less importance than before they realized this. They never wearied of rehearsing His words and works. His lessons, which they had but dimly understood, now came to them as a fresh revelation. The Scriptures became to them a new book.

Amen Brother Beacon!  Very soon professing Christians will do the same to us as they did to Jesus.

At this council Christ's enemies had been deeply convicted. The Holy Spirit had impressed their minds. But Satan strove to gain control of them. He urged upon their notice the grievances they had suffered on account of Christ. How little He had honored their righteousness. He presented a righteousness far greater, which all who would be children of God must possess. Taking no notice of their forms and ceremonies, He had encouraged sinners to go directly to God as a merciful Father, and make known their wants. Thus, in their opinion, He had set aside the priesthood. He had refused to acknowledge the theology of the rabbinical schools. He had exposed the evil practices of the priests, and had irreparably hurt their influence. He had injured the effect of their maxims and traditions, declaring that though they strictly enforced the ritual law, they made void the law of God. All this Satan now brought to their minds.

Sadly, by preaching the true gospel of grace many ordained ministers in our churches will rise up against the truth and want to do to us what the Jewish leaders did to Jesus. We too often around the world see the dead   burying the dead, thus leaving the church in a Laodicean condition. In the last 40 years I have seen the spiritual condition worsen. But, today we are seeing the beginning of revival and reformation in God's church as the Laodicean message is being preached from the pulpits.

The new birth is a rare experience in this age of the world. This is the reason why there are so many perplexities in the churches. Many, so many, who assume the name of Christ are unsanctified and unholy. They have been baptized, but they were buried alive. Self did not die, and therefore they did not rise to newness of life in Christ (Manuscript 148, 1897). { 6BC 1075.7 }
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

=====================

1
Tell me the old, old story,
  Of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His glory,
  Of Jesus and His love;
Tell me the story simply,
  As to a little child,
For I am weak and weary,
  And helpless and defiled.

Tell me the old, old story,
Tell me the old, old story,
Tell me the old, old story,
    Of Jesus and His love.
2
Tell me the story slowly,
  That I may take it in—
That wonderful redemption,
  God’s remedy for sin;
Tell me the story often,
  For I forget so soon,
The “early dew” of morning
  Has passed away at noon.
3
Tell me the story softly,
  With earnest tones and grave;
Remember I’m the sinner
  Whom Jesus came to save;
Tell me the story always,
  If you would really be,
In any time of trouble,
  A comforter to me.
4
Tell me the same old story,
  When you have cause to fear
That this world’s empty glory
  Is costing me too dear;
And when the Lord’s bright glory
  Is dawning on my soul,
Tell me the old, old story:
  “Christ Jesus makes thee whole.”

This is exactly what is happening today and we know it will get worse. History will repeat itself and God's people will be oppressed even by some who claim to be Christians. In fact there is more to fear from within than without. But God will never leave the fully surrendered soul and will give what is needed to be faithful to Him to the very end.
But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press  toward the mark. Phil. 3:13,14

They were studying prophecies concerning His first coming, we should be studying the prophecies concerning His second return. Christ wants us to be ready and warned of what's coming and in His Word to us we can find all of this even the desires of our souls. As we study about His second return we to can come into fellowship with our Redeemer.
By communion with God in nature, the mind is uplifted, and the heart finds rest.  {DA 291.1}

Amen my dear brothers and sister! We, like the disciples do not rightly realize the importance of our work. We do not have realize the glory of God. Lord help us to redeem the time we have lost. And many are led astray by the religious leaders in our day. God wants our heart, then we will better discern the glory of our God.

Amen, Brother Beacon, Sister Dorine, Brother Jim and Brother Richard!!

Jesus loves to give us His character experience of true obedience as the overflow of all of the fruits of the Spirit in our lives without on missing because we are fully surrendered to Him and willing to be anything or nothing for His dear sake. May we do all we possibly can through Christ to hasten His return by giving the everlasting gospel to the world in our generation!

"It is as true now as in apostolic days, that without the illumination of the divine Spirit, humanity cannot discern the glory of Christ. Christ would not be deterred from His mission. So we are to walk even as He walked in harmony with the will of our heavenly Father. Look up for our redemption draws near!! Jesus is coming again SOON!!

Amen!  It is the Holy Spirit that takes possession of the heart. Then we become partakers of God's divine nature (2 Peter 1:4).

Writing afterward to some of those who had been corrupted by the foulest sins, he could say, "But ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." "I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 6:11; 1:4.

We thank the good Lord that He can save to the "uttermost". There is enough grace for all and some to spare.

Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

That is why when converted the things we once loved we now hate and the things we hated we now love. The greatest miracle I have witnessed is the miracle of a converted soul. Words can not describe it, human wisdom can not understand it. But the evidence is overwhelming and can not be refuted.
But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press  toward the mark. Phil. 3:13,14

When the apostle Paul began his ministry in Corinth, that populous, wealthy, and wicked city, polluted by the nameless vices of heathenism, he said, "I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified." 1 Corinthians 2:2.

Some very good advice for us today when interacting with others and for those teaching and/or preaching.
By communion with God in nature, the mind is uplifted, and the heart finds rest.  {DA 291.1}
