CNN just ran a story on their Money Report (Gerri Willis) of a manufacturer of the plastic patron saint, St. Joseph. The manufacturer is Lutheran, yet he says even he is impressed with the results this little plastic saint figurine is getting. St. Joseph is the patron saint of the home.

It seems you buy it, pray a prayer for the sale of your home, bury the saint head-down in your yard, and your house will sell. It was also reported this particular saint has a very close relationship with Mary, the mother of Jesus.

One desperate featured homeseller bought the saint, buried him and got an offer the next day.  ::) But this was after he lowered the sales price of his house from $245K to $145K. I wonder which one really affected the receipt of the offer?

The story is not on the website, at least I have not located it to supply a source, but it is running on CNN.

$245K to $145K.  I would like to give credit to the devil, but with this truth staring me in the face, I can't. Ever see a $100K reduction in price when the home was under $300K? I never have.
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

Me either - so much for the power of an up-side-down plastic "patron saint."

And so many believe mankind has advanced and are no longer paganistic!! What difference is this from the worship of the heathen who is lost and has no knowledge of Christ?
