Roman Church Opposes Six Day Creation

Believing that God created the universe in six days is a form of superstitious paganism, the Vatican astronomer Guy Consolmagno claimed yesterday.   Scotsman
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

This then is what they are calling the Bible. Reminds me of what the Bible says about people seeing white for black and black for white and "I will give them confussion". This church has let go of this truth within the past 10 years. This comment is nothing short of trying to make reason for their incorrect decision. And as always, teaching error and not the Bible. It is a shame and what is even more a shame is that their people are not pointed to the Bible. They believe what they hear only.  :(

You take away the literal 7 day creation story  you take away the Sabbath.

Good point brother Jim, when we think about that point it is a wonder to me why it took them so long to deny this story God has given us of our begainning. They want nothing around to remind them of the true Sabbath.  :(

You take away a literal 6 day creation and much more than the Sabbath crumbles. The whole story of Salvation means nothing without intelligent created beings that fell. It is my belief that there is no greater deception by Satan than belief in evolution. Without belief in a literal Creation week all Christian theology fails.

It is good for such things to come to light. It is obvious that the Bible is not the foundation of their faith. Too many in the Christian Churches think that Roman Catholicsm is Christian when it is very clear that the Protestant Reformation was because the Roman Church was not following the Word of God, but had changed the times and the laws.

This is so true. If we don't have a creator, then why call God Father? If Jesus did not Create us then why the desire to save us? And if we did not come from His Hand, then how could we call Him Saviour, brother and Lord.

He Alone Could Save

    In the work of creation, Christ was with God. He was one with God, equal with Him, the brightness of His glory, the express image of His person, the representative of the Father. He alone, the Creator of man, could be his Saviour. No angel of heaven could reveal the Father to the sinner, and win him back to allegiance to God. But Christ could manifest the Father's love; for God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself. Christ could be the "day's man" between a holy God and lost humanity, one who could "lay His hand upon us both." {ST, December 15, 1914 par. 9}
It also promised them eternal life on condition of fidelity to God's law. Thus the patriarchs received the hope of salvation . {AG 131. 2}      Adam and Eve, at their creation , had a knowledge of the law of God. It was printed on their hearts, and they understood its claims upon them. {AG 131. 3}
