Prayers for Sister Dorine and Brother Beacon (husband and wife)
« on: September 23, 2025, 09:10:54 PM »
There are many brothers and sisters that we never meet in this world. The internet has provided the opportunity to meet brothers and sisters around the world. We develop close relationships with those in our church or in churches near to ours. This is understandable since we spend time to get to know them. But, online this is not the same. We never meet our friends in person. But, it makes no difference. One thing that has always been a blessing for me over the last 26 years we have been in this ministry is that we judge none by their appearance, or even their voice. We judge each other by the character which is revealed. At one time we had ten or so moderators. Most I never met in person. But, when we share with those who are active we get to know many as they share about their love for our Savior. Those who have shared in the Desire of Ages Forum is especially revealing of character since we share what the Holy Spirit has showed us each day. I cannot express what a blessing that is for me day by day.

One such relationship is that with my dear friends, Eric (Beacon) and Dorine. We have had a few telephone conversations, but mainly this relationship has developed by what we share daily about what the Holy Spirit has revealed to us. Often the very same truth. How powerful is this!!

Today, our dear Sister Dorine and Brother Eric need our prayers. Our dear brother is in the hospital and our dear Sister Dorine who is his faithful care giver both need our prayers. There comes a time in our lives when we need to ask for the prayers of our friends. Job is one such example. Please off up prayers for wisdom and strength for our dear sister as she seeks for wisdom and grace. And, that our dear Brother Eric be comforted and that his strong faith in Jesus fail not.

Heavenly Father, you know the situation. We ask that you comfort our brother ans sister. Give them love, joy, and peace as they go through this great trial. We love you and know that you will answer this prayer in the best manner that only you know what it is. But, we know that it is your desire that what ever the tribulation, we can have love, joy, and peace as long as we rest in your care. We pray this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

Thank you Brother Richard. No one will ever know the comfort I have received through the fellowship of believers on Remnant on Line. Your prayers and encouragement through the years have been the greatest blessing to both Eric and I. The Lord has used each one of you to strengthen our faith and it has taught me to be more sensitive to the needs of others. Especially unspoken needs. Sometimes individuals act in objectional ways and we are in danger of judging them when in fact they are crying out for help.

Eric has been in hospital for 8 days now. He is septic and they are pouring the antibiotics into him to conquer this infection. He is terribly confused and feeling so alone. He does not know it but when they get him stabilized he will be going to a long term facility and they are working towards a place closer to our home so I can be with him each day and give him something to look forward to. I have not been able to go visit him because my own health has broken down from the stress of caring for him and now I am under the Doctors care to stabilize my condition. My daughter visits him on her lunch break when she can but that's all he has. I have begged our church family to send someone to visit and pray with him. God knows the situation and will provide. If any are going through difficult situations that are beyond your control hang on to Jesus. It is happening for a good reason. He will see us through the mine fields of life. In all of Eric's confusion he has not forgotten his best friend Jesus. The last time I talked to him he said, "maybe this is my time of Jacob's trouble." He's trying to be brave for Jesus.

Thank you for your prayers. I plan to meet each one of you in heaven. Until then this forum will become even more precious to me. Daily walking with Jesus is the only way to our eternal heavenly home.

I'm so happy to report that since I sent out an urgent message to our church family they have responded. It took awhile for it to circulate to the people that would genuinely minister to Eric at this time. Every one is so busy and dealing with their own sorrows and trials. We certainly need the prayers of each other and not become so focused on our own issues that others may be judged as not caring. As Randy Skeete always says; "God is good, all the time; all the time God is good." I talked to Eric last evening and told him that our Remnant on line family is praying for him. He filled up and said to say thank you. Simple things we do mean so very much. May God grant each one a very blessed Sabbath day. And remember; Never Give Up.

It is good to see that the Lord loves us. If He notices when a sparrow falls then He'll notice our difficulties. I praise the Lord for answering your prayers. The Lord is good!

A new challenge has come up that I am requesting your prayers for. Yesterday a nurse came in to see Eric and to tell him that because he is in the environment he is in and in danger of picking up all sorts of germs and viruses and because it is flu season he needs to get his flu and Covid vaccine. He has never had a flu vaccine let alone a Covid and he looked at me with troubled eyes as if to say "what do I do"? She said she would be back today to get his answer. I will not be able to be with him today because of other commitments so I told him to be praying about it in his quiet moments and that I would be too. I did not want to influence him either way. So I am coming to my Remnant on line family to pray about this. He said to me that he understands the risks being in hospital but where does faith come in to believe that God would protect him if he didn't get the vaccine? On the other hand wouldn't God protect him from side affects of the vaccine if he felt it was what he should do. Thank you for your prayers to help him make the right decision when she comes again.
