The plan for our redemption was not an afterthought, a plan formulated after the fall of Adam. It was a revelation of "the mystery which hath been kept in silence through times eternal." Romans 16:25, R. V. It was an unfolding of the principles that from eternal ages have been the foundation of God's throne. From the beginning, God and Christ knew of the apostasy of Satan, and of the fall of man through the deceptive power of the apostate. God did not ordain that sin should exist, but He foresaw its existence, and made provision to meet the terrible emergency. So great was His love for the world, that He covenanted to give His only-begotten Son, "that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.

How do we wrap our brains around such love? We can't. It is too wonderful to explain. But each one that comes to Christ will be drawn to this love and in surrendering to Him will be transformed into His character. We are about to embark on another journey with Jesus. We are His disciples following Him day by day. He accepts us where we are and in spite of our weaknesses and ill traits of character will work in us and for us to perfect our character to be a pure and true witness for Him.
But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press  toward the mark. Phil. 3:13,14

Amen, Brother Beacon and Sister Dorine!

Our loving God knows all about us. He came to dwell with us to offer us the example of a perfect life and die as our Sacrifice, rising to victory from the grave so we can also become one with God in mind and character! All of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing will be revealed in our lives without one missing as we surrender fully to Christ in affectionate obedience to all of God's commandments!

"Since Jesus came to dwell with us, we know that God is acquainted with our trials, and sympathizes with our griefs. Every son and daughter of Adam may understand that our Creator is the friend of sinners. For in every doctrine of grace, every promise of joy, every deed of love, every divine attraction presented in the Saviour's life on earth, we see 'God with us.'" {The Desire of Ages, page 24, paragraph 1}

What a blessing it is to have God with us in all the experiences of life! Let us walk with Him in fullness of joy!
"When we live by faith on the Son of God, the fruits of the Spirit will be seen in our lives; not one will be missing." {The Desire of Ages, 676.4}

Amen my dear friends! Thank you for sharing your thoughts as the Holy Spirit moves upon your hearts.

Once again, we are blessed to begin a new study on the life of our Savior. Some may ask why we are committed to read the same thing three times a year. It is an easy question to answer, we love beholding the character of our God. By  beholding His character we love Him more and more because we see more clearly how much He loves us. We encourage all to join with us, or to read this Book on your own. We can guarantee you a place in heaven by so doing. How so? Because it is a promise found in Scripture.  Read it for yourself, 2 Cor. 3:18.

This first chapter has so very much in it. It tells us a lot about God. Why did Jesus come to this dark spot in the universe? How much does He love us?

     I AM the assurance of every promise. I AM; be not afraid. "God with us" is the surety of our deliverance from sin, the assurance of our power to obey the law of heaven.
     In stooping to take upon Himself humanity, Christ revealed a character the opposite of the character of Satan. But He stepped still lower in the path of humiliation. "Being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." Philippians 2:8. As the high priest laid aside his gorgeous pontifical robes, and officiated in the white linen dress of the common priest, so Christ took the form of a servant, and offered sacrifice, Himself the priest, Himself the victim. "He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him." Isaiah 53:5.
     Christ was treated as we deserve, that we might be treated as He deserves. He was condemned for our sins, in which He had no share, that we might be justified by His righteousness, in which we had no share. He suffered the death which was ours, that we might receive the life which was His. "With His stripes we are healed."
     By His life and His death, Christ has achieved even more than recovery from the ruin wrought through sin. It was Satan's purpose to bring about an eternal separation between God and man; but in Christ we become more closely united to God than if we had never fallen. In taking our nature, the Saviour has bound Himself to humanity by a tie that is never to be broken. Through the eternal ages He is linked with us. "God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son." John 3:16. He gave Him not only to bear our sins, and to die as our sacrifice; He gave Him to the fallen race. To assure us of His immutable counsel of peace, God gave His only-begotten Son to become one of the human family, forever to retain His human nature. This is the pledge that God will fulfill His word. "Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder." God has adopted human nature in the person of His Son, and has carried the same into the highest heaven. It is the "Son of man" who shares the throne of the universe. It is the "Son of man" whose name shall be called, "Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6. The I AM is the Daysman between God and humanity, laying His hand upon both. He who is "holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners," is not ashamed to call us brethren. Hebrews 7:26;  2:11. In Christ the family of earth and the family of heaven are bound together. Christ glorified is our brother. Heaven is enshrined in humanity, and humanity is enfolded in the bosom of Infinite Love.
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

1
Living for Jesus, oh, what peace!
Rivers of pleasure never cease;
Trials may come, yet I’ll not fear,
Living for Jesus, He is near.
    Help me to serve Thee more and more,
Help me to praise Thee o’er and o’er;
Live in Thy presence day by day,
  Never to turn from Thee away.
2
Living for Jesus, oh, what rest!
Pleasing my Savior, I am blest;
Only to live for Him alone,
Doing His will till life is done.
3
Living for Jesus, everywhere,
All of my burdens He doth bear;
Friends may forsake me, He’ll be true;
Trusting in Him, He’ll guide me through.
4
Living for Jesus, till at last
Into His glory I have passed;
There to behold Him on His throne,
Hear from His lips, “My child, well done!”

"The angels of glory find their joy in giving,--giving love and tireless watchcare to souls that are fallen and unholy. Heavenly beings woo the hearts of men; they bring to this dark world light from the courts above; by gentle and patient ministry they move upon the human spirit, to bring the lost into a fellowship with Christ which is even closer than they themselves can know."

What an amazing thought that we can have a fellowship with Christ that is closer than what the angels have. Sometimes after reading I just want to be silent for fear my words will distract from the beauty of inspiration. It never gets old or boring. With each reading God's love and mercy become more stabilizing to my walk with God.

Amen, Brother Beacon and Sister Dorine! The consistency of the fellowship and sharing here is truly stabilizing in these confused last days. Beholding Jesus gives eternal strength for our souls.

"Through Christ's redeeming work the government of God stands justified. The Omnipotent One is made known as the God of love. Satan's charges are refuted, and his character unveiled. Rebellion can never again arise. Sin can never again enter the universe. Through eternal ages all are secure from apostasy. By love's self-sacrifice, the inhabitants of earth and heaven are bound to their Creator in bonds of indissoluble union." {The Desire of Ages, page 26, paragraph 2}

Thankfully, the joy of union and communion with Jesus starts as soon as we come to Him, behold His infinite loveliness, and yield the whole heart to Him! Oh, what BLISS it is to know and love God, for such a life is expressed in continual obedience to all the light God has shown us with the accompanying witness of all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing! In eternity, it will just get better and better forever, without any temptations or trials ever to assail us again. Sin will never again happen!! Hallelujah!
"When we live by faith on the Son of God, the fruits of the Spirit will be seen in our lives; not one will be missing." {The Desire of Ages, 676.4}

Amen my dear sister and brothers! What a joy to begin again studying the life of Jesus! Each day we are invigorated by what we learn of our God and the plan of salvation!! So much in this first chapter!! If one were to study just what we post today, what a blessing for those who are seeking truth!!

     The angels of glory find their joy in giving,--giving love and tireless watchcare to souls that are fallen and unholy. Heavenly beings woo the hearts of men; they bring to this dark world light from the courts above; by gentle and patient ministry they move upon the human spirit, to bring the lost into a fellowship with Christ which is even closer than they themselves can know.
     But turning from all lesser representations, we behold God in Jesus. Looking unto Jesus we see that it is the glory of our God to give. "I do nothing of Myself," said Christ; "the living Father hath sent Me, and I live by the Father." "I seek not Mine own glory," but the glory of Him that sent Me. John 8:28; 6:57; 8:50; 7:18. In these words is set forth the great principle which is the law of life for the universe. All things Christ received from God, but He took to give. So in the heavenly courts, in His ministry for all created beings: through the beloved Son, the Father's life flows out to all; through the Son it returns, in praise and joyous service, a tide of love, to the great Source of all. And thus through Christ the circuit of beneficence is complete, representing the character of the great Giver, the law of life.
     In heaven itself this law was broken. Sin originated in self-seeking. Lucifer, the covering cherub, desired to be first in heaven. He sought to gain control of heavenly beings, to draw them away from their Creator, and to win their homage to himself. Therefore he misrepresented God, attributing to Him the desire for self-exaltation. With his own evil characteristics he sought to invest the loving Creator. Thus he deceived angels. Thus he deceived men. He led them to doubt the word of God, and to distrust His goodness. Because God is a God of justice and terrible majesty, Satan caused them to look upon Him as severe and unforgiving. Thus he drew men to join him in rebellion against God, and the night of woe settled down upon the world.

Amen!  As he deceived the chosen ones who murdered Christ, so he has likewise deceived His people today. They remain in a Laodicean condition and know it not. But, the solution is found in that strong rebuke to the Laodiceans. That solution is beholding the glory of God. It would be very well to spend a thoughtful hour a day contemplating the life of Jesus. By doing so we will be recreated into His image (2 Cor. 3:18). Join with us in doing so every day as we begin again at the beginning of this most wonderful revelation of the character of our Savior.
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

1
Alas! and did my Savior bleed?
  And did my Sov’reign die,
Would He devote that sacred head
  For such a worm as I?
2
Was it for sins that I had done
  He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! grace unknown!
  And love beyond degree!
3
Well might the sun in darkness hide,
  And shut his glories in,
When the incarnate Maker died
  For man, His creature’s sin.
4
Thus might I hide my blushing face
  While His dear cross appears
Dissolve my heart in thankfulness,
  And melt mine eyes to tears.
5
But drops of grief can ne’er repay
  The debt of love I owe;
Here Lord, I give myself away:
  ’Tis all that I can do.

This is such an uplifting and encouraging chapter. We are truly loved and cared for even though we don't deserve it. It was difficult choosing what stood out the most to  me this morning for the whole chapter spoke to God's great love for us and our great need of Him. Just to think that Jesus the Great I Am is also my brother and because of His divine love for sinners volunteered to take the punishment I deserve so that I may receive His righteousness and live with Him eternally. It puts the sinners plight in the right perspective. Instead of focusing on the negative aspects of what sin has done to us we are shown the plans of God for our redemption and the unity between divinity and humanity. May songs of praise flow from our hearts as we go about our tasks today.

Love changes priorities. Whereas the proud, selfish heart strives to be noticed and to get more for self, the unselfish, converted heart that has been moved to a complete surrender by the infinite love of God has a calm, trustful rest in the reality of being cared for and known deeply. God loves and knows us more fully than we can ask or think. Yet instead of destroying our dark, sinful world filled with so much misery, violence and crime, He sends His tokens of love each day to seek to woo human hearts to Him. He gave us His Son as an unmistakeable desire to save us and to assure us that He is able to save us! As we come to notice the beautiful flowers that exist to bless, our own hearts can take on a new aspect--the joy of ministry to bless the Lord and others. Oh, let us unlearn the selfish way of thinking and feeling that has been gained in the school of the prince of darkness. Let us yoke up with Christ, and as we learn of Him, heaven begins in the soul.

"The earth was dark through misapprehension of God. That the gloomy shadows might be lightened, that the world might be brought back to God, Satan's deceptive power was to be broken. This could not be done by force. The exercise of force is contrary to the principles of God's government; He desires only the service of love; and love cannot be commanded; it cannot be won by force or authority. Only by love is love awakened. To know God is to love Him; His character must be manifested in contrast to the character of Satan. This work only one Being in all the universe could do. Only He who knew the height and depth of the love of God could make it known. Upon the world's dark night the Sun of Righteousness must rise, 'with healing in His wings.' Malachi 4:2." {The Desire of Ages, page 22, paragraph 1}

May you let Jesus' love arise in your heart. His grace is sufficient for you. His peace passes all understanding. All of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing are not something we achieve, but what we receive by union and communion with Christ by an intelligent appreciation of the loveliness of His character. True obedience to all of God's commandments up to the light He has revealed is the sure evidence that we do love Him who first loved us. Since "God is love" (1 John 4:16), it follows that the only way to obey Him is by being in harmony with Him. We can only do good by being united to the One who is good, and that is God.
"When we live by faith on the Son of God, the fruits of the Spirit will be seen in our lives; not one will be missing." {The Desire of Ages, 676.4}

Amen my dear friends! Once again we begin anew in being blessed by gaining and understanding of who our God is and why Jesus came to this dark spot in the universe! We soon will be broadcasting our study daily that others no matter where they are may join with us live to share what the Holy Spirit is teaching them and us.

This morning I got a clear view of how God is going to put and end to sin forever! It was not easy, and it was at great expense and there was a risk. God has truly blessed us with great light!

  Of His people God says, "They shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon His land. For how great is His goodness, and how great is His beauty!" Zechariah 9:16, 17. The exaltation of the redeemed will be an eternal testimony to God's mercy. "In the ages to come," He will "show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus." "To the intent that . . . unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly places might be made known . . . the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord." Ephesians 2:7; 3:10, 11, R. V.
     Through Christ's redeeming work the government of God stands justified. The Omnipotent One is made known as the God of love. Satan's charges are refuted, and his character unveiled. Rebellion can never again arise. Sin can never again enter the universe. Through eternal ages all are secure from apostasy. By love's self-sacrifice, the inhabitants of earth and heaven are bound to their Creator in bonds of indissoluble union.
     The work of redemption will be complete. In the place where sin abounded, God's grace much more abounds. The earth itself, the very field that Satan claims as his, is to be not only ransomed but exalted. Our little world, under the curse of sin the one dark blot in His glorious creation, will be honored above all other worlds in the universe of God. Here, where the Son of God tabernacled in humanity; where the King of glory lived and suffered and died,--here, when He shall make all things new, the tabernacle of God shall be with men, "and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God." And through endless ages as the redeemed walk in the light of the Lord, they will praise Him for His unspeakable Gift,--          Immanuel, "God with us."

This is an explanation of what we were told in Nahum 1:9. "What do ye imagine against the LORD? He will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time." And, yes there was a risk:

Satan in heaven had hated Christ for His position in the courts of God. He hated Him the more when he himself was dethroned. He hated Him who pledged Himself to redeem a race of sinners. Yet into the world where Satan claimed dominion God permitted His Son to come, a helpless babe, subject to the weakness of humanity. He permitted Him to meet life’s peril in common with every human soul, to fight the battle as every child of humanity must fight it, at the risk of failure and eternal loss.

The heart of the human father yearns over his son. He looks into the face of his little child, and trembles at the thought of life’s peril. He longs to shield his dear one from Satan’s power, to hold him back from temptation and conflict. To meet a bitterer conflict and a more fearful risk, God gave His only-begotten Son, that the path of life might be made sure for our little ones. “Herein is love.” Wonder, O heavens! and be astonished, O earth!  Desire of Ages, pg 49.
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

Praise the Lord that through Jesus the Father's Love flows out to ALL!! Are "WE" Thankful for what Jesus made possible ??
==================================
1

Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
  Sing, ye saints! His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him! hail Him! mightiest angels in glory;
  Strength and honor give to His holy name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will feed His people,
  In His arms He carries them all day long;
O ye saints that live in the light of His presence,
  Praise Him! praise Him! ever in joyful song!
2
Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,
  For our sins He suffered and bled and died;
He, our Rock, our Hope of eternal salvation,
  Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus, the Crucified;
Loving Savior, meekly enduring sorrow,
  Crowned with thorns that cruelly pierced His brow;
Once for us rejected, despised, and forsaken,
  Prince of Glory, ever triumphant now.
3
Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,
  Heavenly portals, loud with hosannahs ring!
Jesus, Savior, reigneth for ever and ever;
  Crown Him! crown Him! Prophet and Priest and King!
Death is vanquished! Tell it with joy, ye faithful,
  Where is now thy victory, boasting grave?
Jesus lives! No longer thy portals are cheerless;
  Jesus lives, the mighty and strong to save.

Satan represents God's law of love as a law of selfishness. He declares that it is impossible for us to obey its precepts. The fall of our first parents, with all the woe that has resulted, he charges upon the Creator, leading men to look upon God as the author of sin, and suffering, and death. Jesus was to unveil this deception. As one of us He was to give an example of obedience. For this He took upon Himself our nature, and passed through our experiences. "In all things it behooved Him to be made like unto His brethren." Hebrews 2:17. If we had to bear anything which Jesus did not endure, then upon this point Satan would represent the power of God as insufficient for us. Therefore Jesus was "in all points tempted like as we are." Hebrews 4:15. He endured every trial to which we are subject. And He exercised in His own behalf no power that is not freely offered to us. As man, He met temptation, and overcame in the strength given Him from God. He says, "I delight to do Thy will, O My God: yea, Thy law is within My heart." Psalm 40:8. As He went about doing good, and healing all who were afflicted by Satan, He made plain to men the character of God's law and the nature of His service. His life testifies that it is possible for us also to obey the law of God.

May our praises be heard on high today as we absorb the magnitude of the wondrous gift of our Saviour coming to this sin darkened world to rescue you and me. Are we getting even a glimpse yet of the love of God for humanity. That's why this book is so important for us to be reading everyday for the rest of our lives here on earth. It keeps alive the beautiful love relationship between Jesus and humanity and what it means to live for Him.
But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press  toward the mark. Phil. 3:13,14

Amen, Brother Beacon, Brother Richard and Sister Dorine! Praise God for the infinite gift of Christ!

"Through Christ's redeeming work the government of God stands justified. The Omnipotent One is made known as the God of love. Satan's charges are refuted, and his character unveiled. Rebellion can never again arise. Sin can never again enter the universe. Through eternal ages all are secure from apostasy. By love's self-sacrifice, the inhabitants of earth and heaven are bound to their Creator in bonds of indissoluble union." {The Desire of Ages, page 26, paragraph 2}

If we are to forever enjoy being in bonds of indissoluble union with our Creator, it follows that we will have a ministry to bless the universe because God reveals His glory through us--the glory of sinners who are converted into saints who reveal the fruits of the Spirit without one missing, living in harmony with God's law of love!
"When we live by faith on the Son of God, the fruits of the Spirit will be seen in our lives; not one will be missing." {The Desire of Ages, 676.4}

"His name shall be called Immanuel, . . . God with us." "The light of the knowledge of the glory of God" is seen "in the face of Jesus Christ." From the days of eternity the Lord Jesus Christ was one with the Father; He was "the image of God," the image of His greatness and majesty, "the outshining of His glory." It was to manifest this glory that He came to our world. To this sin-darkened earth He came to reveal the light of God's love,--to be "God with us." Therefore it was prophesied of Him, "His name shall be called Immanuel."

In Patriarchs and Prophets p343 we read:
"The command was communicated to Moses while in the mount with god, "Let them make Me a Sancturary; the I may dwell among them;"

Jesus came at the 1st Advent to dwell among us, putting the plan of salvation into action, He again dwelled among us in human form that we may have salvation, he so loves us He wants a close one on one relationship with us. He will again come to dwell with us at the 2nd advent throughout eternity. Just pause and see God's love for you and me. He created us so he could dwell with us, and all through the history of this world he will dwell with us he we will open our hearts to him. He loves us so much; he will dwell with us through all of the eternal ages.

"Satan in heaven had hated Christ for His position in the courts of God."

"He hated Him the more when he himself was dethroned."

"He hated Him who pledged Himself to redeem a race of sinners.

"Yet into the world where Satan claimed dominion God permitted His Son to come, a helpless babe, subject to the weakness of humanity. He permitted Him to meet life’s peril in common with every human soul, to fight the battle as every child of humanity must fight it, at the risk of failure and eternal loss."

"The heart of the human father yearns over his son. He looks into the face of his little child, and trembles at the thought of life’s peril."

"He longs to shield his dear one from Satan’s power, to hold him back from temptation and conflict."

"To meet a bitterer conflict and a more fearful risk, God gave His only-begotten Son, that the path of life might be made sure for our little ones.

“Herein is love.” Wonder, O heavens! and be astonished, O earth!

Oh the Wonder of it ALL---Do "We" Really Appreciate the Love of God for fallen humanity?

1
Once I was bound by sin’s galling fetters,
Chained like a slave I struggled in vain;
But I received a glorious freedom,
When Jesus broke my fetters in twain.

Glorious freedom, wonderful freedom,
No more in chains of sin I repine!
Jesus the glorious Emancipator,
  Now and forever He shall be mine.
2
Freedom from all the carnal affections,
Freedom from envy, hatred and strife;
Freedom from vain and worldly ambitions.
Freedom from all that saddened my life.
3
Freedom from pride and all sinful follies,
Freedom from love and glitter of gold;
Freedom from evil temper and anger,
Glorious freedom, rapture untold.
4
Freedom from fear with all of its torments,
Freedom from care with all of its pain;
Freedom in Christ my blessed Redeemer,
He who has rent my fetters in twain.

Once I was bound by sin’s galling fetters,
Chained like a slave I struggled in vain;

How do you explain such grace and mercy? Words are not adequate to describe what heaven gave up for our redemption. May our lives portray our gratitude as we share this wonderful message to the world.

    What a love God has for us, to think knowing that Satan would sin in heaven, and then bring that sin to this world, He still when ahead with the creation of this world and mankind. He had put the plan of redemption (salvation) into place willing to send Jesus to this world so fallen mankind might be saved. God truly is a loving God.

It is very hard to decide what to share. There is so much written which is of great importance. There is a theme which runs through the whole chapter. I cannot present it in a short paragraph. The error being taught in churches around the world must be met in a way that all might see the error and follow the truth.

     The earth was dark through misapprehension of God. That the gloomy shadows might be lightened, that the world might be brought back to God, Satan's deceptive power was to be broken. This could not be done by force. The exercise of force is contrary to the principles of God's government; He desires only the service of love; and love cannot be commanded; it cannot be won by force or authority. Only by love is love awakened. To know God is to love Him; His character must be manifested in contrast to the character of Satan. This work only one Being in all the universe could do. Only He who knew the height and depth of the love of God could make it known. Upon the world's dark night the Sun of Righteousness must rise, "with healing in His wings." Malachi 4:2.
DA 22.

And by allowing His innocent Son to come to this dark spot in the universe there was a risk that Jesus living in man's fallen flesh, could sin and thus be separated from His Father for eternity! Such a risk. Our Brother Beacon has shared this truth and its importance.

He permitted Him to meet life’s peril in common with every human soul, to fight the battle as every child of humanity must fight it, at the risk of failure and eternal loss."  pg 49

Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.
