Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

Jesus is knocking…. He says “Buy of Me”

We ‘buy’ by being zealous and repentant

Amen! Jesus says to buy three things. Gold tried in the fire, white raiment, and eye salve.  This is speaking to those who are not in Christ and Christ in them. God tells Eze. three times what He is to tell Israel who are also not converted.

3:17   Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
3:18   When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked [man] shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
3:19   Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
3:20   Again, When a righteous [man] doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
3:21   Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous [man], that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

He tells Him twice more, the same thing in chapters 18 and 33. We need to the same message for many think they are saved in their sins.

Have a blessed Sabbath dear friends, we don't have very many more before Jesus comes to take us home!!

Amen my dear sister!  Has not God promised such?  Eze 36:26. He will give us a new heart and the Holy Spirit. The law of God is then written in the heart which means we love the Lord our God and His commandments....and the Spirit empowers us that we sin not.  Eze 36:27 tells us this. When the Spirit has possession of the heart, it is cleansed whiter than fresh fallen snow. All of the fruits of the Spirit are seen in the life, not one is missing. We are talking about not only mature Christians, but baby Christians also. It is true that they and the mature Christians live in fallen evil flesh, but the perfection that God gives is the heart, not the flesh. When Jesus comes, then all who love the Lord with all of the heart, they then will get holy flesh. Here are they that keep the commandments means that living in fallen flesh is not an excuse for sin. God has provided a remedy in His Son who will impart and impute His righteous character to all who love Him supremely.....and their neighbor as themselves. What a God we serve!!

The laws of types and ceremonies was nailed to the cross

Not the moral law of Ten Commandments

Amen rahab.  Do not believe the lie that the Sabbath was nailed to the cross (Col. 2:14).  The following verses put that statement in its proper context: "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:     Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body [is] of Christ."  verses 16 and 17.

A shadow is something that is not the reality. The shadows in the Bible point to the real thing. The lamb to be slaughtered was a symbol (shadow) that pointed to Jesus. The blood of bulls and goats saves no one, it points to the blood of Jesus which can save everyone.  The sanctuary was a shadow of the sanctuary in heaven. There were ceremonial days also that pointed to times which would happen in the future.  We know this pointed to the time when Jesus would leave the Holy Place in heaven and enter into the Most Holy Place. It was the Day of Atonement which pointed to Oct 22, 1844 when Jesus began an investigative judgment and a work of preparing a people  that would go through a time of trouble such as never was without a Mediator. The Sabbath Day is a holy day. But there were other holy days also. Like the Sabbath Day, so were the ceremonial sabbath days holy days. Ceremonial or Sabbath Days were shadows, but not the The Sabbath Day. The Sabbath Day is a moral law, whereas the Sabbath Days were ceremonial law.

Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

Thank you Richard for that explanation.

There are many in our faith that still believe we should be keeping the feast days which were a shadow.
Many of the ordinances were exchanged for new and better ones.  The statutes are symbolically still applicable but in a different sense according to our modern society.
