As you listen to the response by the SECC, consider that the subject of women's ordination is not the real issue. Chris Oberg, La Sierra speaks of "theological thinking, practical  theology...colonialism, domination, imperialism...." The SECC reflects more of the world than just making women rulers over men. Bill Hybels was quoted in the discussion.

No remarks were made regarding what will be done with the ordained women, nor the woman presiding over the conference. But, we recall that their woman leader stated before the vote, we will follow our values no matter what the world church votes.

Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

Interesting that no mention ( of course) was made that 300 delegates from Asia , who most certainly would have voted predominantly  against ordination of women, were not able to make it to GC to vote because of visa problems. This is not an issue of ordination but an issue over rebellious hearts. Had the vote went in favor of WO there would have been celebration and then an acceptance of and of ordination of homosexuals etc. etc. at the next GC. That may happen anyway should the Lord allow it.
