Title: What Do Angwin, Loma Linda, and Collegdale All Have in Common?
Post by: Richard Myers on April 22, 2011, 02:27:41 PM
Well, not what they used to have. Their Sunday mail delivery was in common, but Loma Linda's Sunday delivery has ceased. They will now get their mail on the Sabbath.

According to reports, the community's 21,000 residents are predominantly Seventh-day Adventists. For 81 years the post office delivered mail in Loma Linda on Sunday instead of the Sabbath. Only two communities with Sunday delivery will remain, Angwin, California, and Collegedale, Tennessee. They have contracts that guarantee no Saturday deliveries.  source (http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/04/18/seventh-day-adventist-community-loses-sunday-mail-delivery/)

Too bad the contracted difference is not more widespread.
