Chap. 86 - Go Teach All Nations

Listen to Go Teach All Nations

     Standing but a step from His heavenly throne, Christ gave the commission to His disciples. "All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth," He said. "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations." "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15. Again and again the words were repeated, that the disciples might grasp their significance. Upon all the inhabitants of the earth, high and low, rich and poor, was the light of heaven to shine in clear, strong rays. The disciples were to be colaborers with their Redeemer in the work of saving the world.
     The commission had been given to the twelve when Christ met with them in the upper chamber; but it was now to be given to a larger number. At the meeting on a mountain in Galilee, all the believers who could be called together were assembled. Of this meeting Christ Himself, before His death, had designated the time and place. The angel at the tomb reminded the disciples of His promise to meet them in Galilee. The promise was repeated to the believers who were gathered at Jerusalem during the Passover week, and through them it reached many lonely ones who were mourning the death of their Lord. With intense interest all looked forward to the interview. They made their way to the place of meeting by circuitous routes, coming in from every direction, to avoid exciting the suspicion of the jealous Jews. With wondering hearts they came, talking earnestly together of the news that had reached them concerning Christ.  At the time appointed, about five hundred believers were collected in little knots on the mountainside, eager to learn all that could be learned from those who had seen Christ since His resurrection. From group to group the disciples passed, telling all they had seen and heard of Jesus, and reasoning from the Scriptures as He had done with them. Thomas recounted the story of his unbelief, and told how his doubts had been swept away. Suddenly Jesus stood among them. No one could tell whence or how He came. Many who were present had never before seen Him; but in His hands and feet they beheld the marks of the crucifixion; His countenance was as the face of God, and when they saw Him, they worshiped Him.
     But some doubted. So it will always be. There are those who find it hard to exercise faith, and they place themselves on the doubting side. These lose much because of their unbelief.
     This was the only interview that Jesus had with many of the believers after His resurrection. He came and spoke to them saying, "All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth." The disciples had worshiped Him before He spoke, but His words, falling from lips that had been closed in death, thrilled them with peculiar power. He was now the risen Saviour. Many of them had seen Him exercise His power in healing the sick and controlling satanic agencies. They believed that He possessed power to set up His kingdom at Jerusalem, power to quell all opposition, power over the elements of nature. He had stilled the angry waters; He had walked upon the white-crested billows; He had raised the dead to life. Now He declared that "all power" was given to Him. His words carried the minds of His hearers above earthly and temporal things to the heavenly and eternal. They were lifted to the highest conception of His dignity and glory.
     Christ's words on the mountainside were the announcement that His sacrifice in behalf of man was full and complete. The conditions of the atonement had been fulfilled; the work for which He came to this world had been accomplished. He was on His way to the throne of God, to be honored by angels, principalities, and powers. He had entered upon His mediatorial work. Clothed with boundless authority, He gave His commission to the disciples: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations," "baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28:19, 20, R. V.
     The Jewish people had been made the depositaries of sacred truth; but Pharisaism had made them the most exclusive, the most bigoted, of all the human race. Everything about the priests and rulers--their dress, customs, ceremonies, traditions--made them unfit to be the light of the world. They looked upon themselves, the Jewish nation, as the world. But Christ commissioned His disciples to proclaim a faith and worship that would have in it nothing of caste or country, a faith that would be adapted to all peoples, all nations, all classes of men.
     Before leaving His disciples, Christ plainly stated the nature of His kingdom. He called to their minds what He had previously told them concerning it. He declared that it was not His purpose to establish in this world a temporal, but a spiritual kingdom. He was not to reign as an earthly king on David's throne. Again He opened to them the Scriptures, showing that all He had passed through had been ordained in heaven, in the councils between the Father and Himself. All had been foretold by men inspired by the Holy Spirit. He said, You see that all I have revealed to you concerning My rejection as the Messiah has come to pass. All I have said in regard to the humiliation I should endure and the death I should die, has been verified. On the third day I rose again. Search the Scriptures more diligently, and you will see that in all these things the specifications of prophecy concerning Me have been fulfilled.
     Christ commissioned His disciples to do the work He had left in their hands, beginning at Jerusalem. Jerusalem had been the scene of His amazing condescension for the human race. There He had suffered, been rejected and condemned. The land of Judea was His birthplace. There, clad in the garb of humanity, He had walked with men, and few had discerned how near heaven came to the earth when Jesus was among them. At Jerusalem the work of the disciples must begin.
     In view of all that Christ had suffered there, and the unappreciated labor He had put forth, the disciples might have pleaded for a more promising field; but they made no such plea. The very ground where He had scattered the seed of truth was to be cultivated by the disciples, and the seed would spring up and yield an abundant harvest. In their work the disciples would have to meet persecution through the jealousy and hatred of the Jews; but this had been endured by their Master, and they were not to flee from it. The first offers of mercy must be made to the murderers of the Saviour.
     And there were in Jerusalem many who had secretly believed on Jesus, and many who had been deceived by the priests and rulers. To these also the gospel was to be presented. They were to be called to repentance. The wonderful truth that through Christ alone could remission of sins be obtained was to be made plain. While all Jerusalem was stirred by the thrilling events of the past few weeks, the preaching of the gospel would make the deepest impression.
     But the work was not to stop here. It was to be extended to the earth's remotest bounds. To His disciples Christ said, You have been witnesses of My life of self-sacrifice in behalf of the world. You have witnessed My labors for Israel. Although they would not come unto Me that they might have life, although priests and rulers have done to Me as they listed, although they have rejected Me as the Scriptures foretold, they shall have still another opportunity of accepting the Son of God. You have seen that all who come to Me, confessing their sins, I freely receive. Him that cometh to Me I will in nowise cast out. All who will, may be reconciled to God, and receive everlasting life. To you, My disciples, I commit this message of mercy. It is to be given to Israel first, and then to all nations, tongues, and peoples. It is to be given to Jews and Gentiles. All who believe are to be gathered into one church.
     Through the gift of the Holy Spirit the disciples were to receive a marvelous power. Their testimony was to be confirmed by signs and wonders. Miracles would be wrought, not only by the apostles, but by those who received their message. Jesus said, "In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Mark 16:17, 18.
     At that time poisoning was often practiced. Unscrupulous men did not hesitate to remove by this means those who stood in the way of their ambition. Jesus knew that the life of His disciples would thus be imperiled. Many would think it doing God service to put His witnesses to death. He therefore promised them protection from this danger.
     The disciples were to have the same power which Jesus had to heal "all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people." By healing in His name the diseases of the body, they would testify to His power for the healing of the soul. Matthew 4:23; 9:6. And a new endowment was now promised. The disciples were to preach among other nations, and they would receive power to speak other tongues. The apostles and their associates were unlettered men, yet through the outpouring of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost, their speech, whether in their own or a foreign language, became pure, simple, and accurate, both in word and in accent.
     Thus Christ gave His disciples their commission. He made full provision for the prosecution of the work, and took upon Himself the responsibility for its success. So long as they obeyed His word, and worked in connection with Him, they could not fail. Go to all nations, He bade them. Go to the farthest part of the habitable globe, but know that My presence will be there. Labor in faith and confidence, for the time will never come when I will forsake you.
     The Saviour's commission to the disciples included all the believers. It includes all believers in Christ to the end of time. It is a fatal mistake to suppose that the work of saving souls depends alone on the ordained minister. All to whom the heavenly inspiration has come are put in trust with the gospel. All who receive the life of Christ are ordained to work for the salvation of their fellow men. For this work the church was established, and all who take upon themselves its sacred vows are thereby pledged to be co-workers with Christ.
     "The Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come." Revelation 22:17. Everyone who hears is to repeat the invitation. Whatever one's calling in life, his first interest should be to win souls for Christ. He may not be able to speak to congregations, but he can work for individuals. To them he can communicate the instruction received from his Lord. Ministry does not consist alone in preaching. Those minister who relieve the sick and suffering, helping the needy, speaking words of comfort to the desponding and those of little faith. Nigh and afar off are souls weighed down by a sense of guilt. It is not hardship, toil, or poverty that degrades humanity. It is guilt, wrongdoing. This brings unrest and dissatisfaction. Christ would have His servants minister to sin-sick souls.
     The disciples were to begin their work where they were. The hardest and most unpromising field was not to be passed by. So every one of Christ's workers is to begin where he is. In our own families may be souls hungry for sympathy, starving for the bread of life. There may be children to be trained for Christ. There are heathen at our very doors. Let us do faithfully the work that is nearest. Then let our efforts be extended as far as God's hand may lead the way. The work of many may appear to be restricted by circumstances; but, wherever it is, if performed with faith and diligence it will be felt to the uttermost parts of the earth. Christ's work when upon earth appeared to be confined to a narrow field, but multitudes from all lands heard His message. God often uses the simplest means to accomplish the greatest results. It is His plan that every part of His work shall depend on every other part, as a wheel within a wheel, all acting in harmony. The humblest worker, moved by the Holy Spirit, will touch invisible chords, whose vibrations will ring to the ends of the earth, and make melody through eternal ages.
     But the command, "Go ye into all the world," is not to be lost sight of. We are called upon to lift our eyes to the "regions beyond." Christ tears away the wall of partition, the dividing prejudice of nationality, and teaches a love for all the human family. He lifts men from the narrow circle which their selfishness prescribes; He abolishes all territorial lines and artificial distinctions of society. He makes no difference between neighbors and strangers, friends and enemies. He teaches us to look upon every needy soul as our brother, and the world as our field.
     When the Saviour said, "Go, . . . teach all nations," He said also, "These signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." The promise is as far-reaching as the commission. Not that all the gifts are imparted to each believer. The Spirit divides "to every man severally as He will." 1 Corinthians 12:11. But the gifts of the Spirit are promised to every believer according to his need for the Lord's work. The promise is just as strong and trustworthy now as in the days of the apostles. "These signs shall follow them that believe." This is the privilege of God's children, and faith should lay hold on all that it is possible to have as an indorsement of faith.
     "They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." This world is a vast lazar house, but Christ came to heal the sick, to proclaim deliverance to the captives of Satan. He was in Himself health and strength. He imparted His life to the sick, the afflicted, those possessed of demons. He turned away none who came to receive His healing power. He knew that those who petitioned Him for help had brought disease upon themselves; yet He did not refuse to heal them. And when virtue from Christ entered into these poor souls, they were convicted of sin, and many were healed of their spiritual disease, as well as of their physical maladies. The gospel still possesses the same power, and why should we not today witness the same results?
     Christ feels the woes of every sufferer. When evil spirits rend a human frame, Christ feels the curse. When fever is burning up the life current, He feels the agony. And He is just as willing to heal the sick now as when He was personally on earth. Christ's servants are His representatives, the channels for His working. He desires through them to exercise His healing power.
     In the Saviour's manner of healing there were lessons for His disciples. On one occasion He anointed the eyes of a blind man with clay, and bade him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam. . . . He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing." John 9:7. The cure could be wrought only by the power of the Great Healer, yet Christ made use of the simple agencies of nature. While He did not give countenance to drug medication, He sanctioned the use of simple and natural remedies.
     To many of the afflicted ones who received healing, Christ said, "Sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." John 5:14. Thus He taught that disease is the result of violating God's laws, both natural and spiritual. The great misery in the world would not exist did men but live in harmony with the Creator's plan.
     Christ had been the guide and teacher of ancient Israel, and He taught them that health is the reward of obedience to the laws of God. The Great Physician who healed the sick in Palestine had spoken to His people from the pillar of cloud, telling them what they must do, and what God would do for them. "If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God," He said, "and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee." Exodus 15:26. Christ gave to Israel definite instruction in regard to their habits of life, and He assured them, "The Lord will take away from thee all sickness." Deuteronomy 7:15. When they fulfilled the conditions, the promise was verified to them. "There was not one feeble person among their tribes." Psalm 105:37.
     These lessons are for us. There are conditions to be observed by all who would preserve health. All should learn what these conditions are. The Lord is not pleased with ignorance in regard to His laws, either natural or spiritual. We are to be workers together with God for the restoration of health to the body as well as to the soul.
     And we should teach others how to preserve and to recover health. For the sick we should use the remedies which God has provided in nature, and we should point them to Him who alone can restore. It is our work to present the sick and suffering to Christ in the arms of our faith. We should teach them to believe in the Great Healer. We should lay hold on His promise, and pray for the manifestation of His power. The very essence of the gospel is restoration, and the Saviour would have us bid the sick, the hopeless, and the afflicted take hold upon His strength.
     The power of love was in all Christ's healing, and only by partaking of that love, through faith, can we be instruments for His work. If we neglect to link ourselves in divine connection with Christ, the current of life-giving energy cannot flow in rich streams from us to the people. There were places where the Saviour Himself could not do many mighty works because of their unbelief. So now unbelief separates the church from her divine Helper. Her hold upon eternal realities is weak. By her lack of faith, God is disappointed, and robbed of His glory.
     It is in doing Christ's work that the church has the promise of His presence. Go teach all nations, He said; "and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." To take His yoke is one of the first conditions of receiving His power. The very life of the church depends upon her faithfulness in fulfilling the Lord's commission. To neglect this work is surely to invite spiritual feebleness and decay. Where there is no active labor for others, love wanes, and faith grows dim.
     Christ intends that His ministers shall be educators of the church in gospel work. They are to teach the people how to seek and save the lost. But is this the work they are doing? Alas, how many are toiling to fan the spark of life in a church that is ready to die! How many churches are tended like sick lambs by those who ought to be seeking for the lost sheep! And all the time millions upon millions without Christ are perishing.
     Divine love has been stirred to its unfathomable depths for the sake of men, and angels marvel to behold in the recipients of so great love a mere surface gratitude. Angels marvel at man's shallow appreciation of the love of God. Heaven stands indignant at the neglect shown to the souls of men. Would we know how Christ regards it? How would a father and mother feel, did they know that their child, lost in the cold and the snow, had been passed by, and left to perish, by those who might have saved it? Would they not be terribly grieved, wildly indignant? Would they not denounce those murderers with wrath hot as their tears, intense as their love? The sufferings of every man are the sufferings of God's child, and those who reach out no helping hand to their perishing fellow beings provoke His righteous anger. This is the wrath of the Lamb. To those who claim fellowship with Christ, yet have been indifferent to the needs of their fellow men, He will declare in the great Judgment day, "I know you not whence ye are; depart from Me, all ye workers of iniquity." Luke 13:27.
     In the commission to His disciples, Christ not only outlined their work, but gave them their message. Teach the people, He said, "to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you." The disciples were to teach what Christ had taught. That which He had spoken, not only in person, but through all the prophets and teachers of the Old Testament, is here included. Human teaching is shut out. There is no place for tradition, for man's theories and conclusions, or for church legislation. No laws ordained by ecclesiastical authority are included in the commission. None of these are Christ's servants to teach. "The law and the prophets," with the record of His own words and deeds, are the treasure committed to the disciples to be given to the world. Christ's name is their watchword, their badge of distinction, their bond of union, the authority for their course of action, and the source of their success. Nothing that does not bear His superscription is to be recognized in His kingdom.
     The gospel is to be presented, not as a lifeless theory, but as a living force to change the life. God desires that the receivers of His grace shall be witnesses to its power. Those whose course has been most offensive to Him He freely accepts; when they repent, He imparts to them His divine Spirit, places them in the highest positions of trust, and sends them forth into the camp of the disloyal to proclaim His boundless mercy. He would have His servants bear testimony to the fact that through His grace men may possess Christlikeness of character, and may rejoice in the assurance of His great love. He would have us bear testimony to the fact that He cannot be satisfied until the human race are reclaimed and reinstated in their holy privileges as His sons and daughters.
     In Christ is the tenderness of the shepherd, the affection of the parent, and the matchless grace of the compassionate Saviour. His blessings He presents in the most alluring terms. He is not content merely to announce these blessings; He presents them in the most attractive way, to excite a desire to possess them. So His servants are to present the riches of the glory of the unspeakable Gift. The wonderful love of Christ will melt and subdue hearts, when the mere reiteration of doctrines would accomplish nothing. "Comfort ye, comfort ye My people, saith your God." "O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! . . . He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom." Isaiah 40:1, 9-11.
Tell the people of Him who is "the Chiefest among ten thousand," and the One "altogether lovely." The Song of Solomon 5:10, 16. Words alone cannot tell it. Let it be reflected in the character and manifested in the life. Christ is sitting for His portrait in every disciple. Every one God has predestinated to be "conformed to the image of His Son." Romans 8:29. In every one Christ's long-suffering love, His holiness, meekness, mercy, and truth are to be manifested to the world.
     The first disciples went forth preaching the word. They revealed Christ in their lives. And the Lord worked with them, "confirming the word with signs following." Mark 16:20. These disciples prepared themselves for their work. Before the day of Pentecost they met together, and put away all differences. They were of one accord. They believed Christ's promise that the blessing would be given, and they prayed in faith. They did not ask for a blessing for themselves merely; they were weighted with the burden for the salvation of souls. The gospel was to be carried to the uttermost parts of the earth, and they claimed the endowment of power that Christ had promised. Then it was that the Holy Spirit was poured out, and thousands were converted in a day.
     So it may be now. Instead of man's speculations, let the word of God be preached. Let Christians put away their dissensions, and give themselves to God for the saving of the lost. Let them in faith ask for the blessing, and it will come. The outpouring of the Spirit in apostolic days was the "former rain," and glorious was the result. But the "latter rain" will be more abundant. Joel 2:23.
     All who consecrate soul, body, and spirit to God will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical and mental power. The inexhaustible supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in heart and mind. The grace of God enlarges and multiplies their faculties, and every perfection of the divine nature comes to their assistance in the work of saving souls. Through co-operation with Christ they are complete in Him, and in their human weakness they are enabled to do the deeds of Omnipotence.
     The Saviour longs to manifest His grace and stamp His character on the whole world. It is His purchased possession, and He desires to make men free, and pure, and holy. Though Satan works to hinder this purpose, yet through the blood shed for the world there are triumphs to be achieved that will bring glory to God and the Lamb. Christ will not be satisfied till the victory is complete, and "He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied." Isaiah 53:11. All the nations of the earth shall hear the gospel of His grace. Not all will receive His grace; but "a seed shall serve Him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation." Psalm 22:30. "The kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High," and "the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea." "So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun." Daniel 7:27; Isaiah 11:9; 59:19.
     "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! . . . Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places: . . . for the Lord hath comforted His people. . . . The Lord hath made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God." Isaiah 52:7-10.

What a Savior we serve! He desires to heal us spiritually foremost but also our physical woes. Even when we've brought these physical diseases upon ourselves He still wishes to heal us. Not only that but He feels all our pain Himself. He understands more than we think. Then we are told to help to heal others by the use of natural means and to present His blessings it most alluring terms and ways. He is indeed more than we deserve!

I love claiming this promise:

All who consecrate soul, body, and spirit to God will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical and mental power. The inexhaustible supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in heart and mind. I know I sure need this as I go forth to God's service today!

Amen, Pastor Sean!  We need Jesus in order to go forward!!

As we near the end of this most beautiful revelation of the life of Christ, we hear the great commission given to all who are reconciled with God. This is why we are here on this Earth, why we are not taken to heaven when converted.

It is the greatest work ever given to man. What a privilege!  But, we must rightly represent our Lord in order to be successful. How can we do it? In two successive chapters, we are promised success. There is much we can say about the present chapter, but the message is repeated, so it is important.

From yesterday's reading:

If one is faithful, there is no assurance a conference paycheck will continue, but God will provide for all who are consecrated and doing the work assigned in teaching the truth as it is in Jesus.

 Though they were to be deprived of His personal companionship, and of the means of support by their former employment, the risen Saviour would still have a care for them. While they were doing His work, He would provide for their needs. And Jesus had a purpose in bidding them cast their net on the right side of the ship. On that side He stood upon the shore. That was the side of faith. If they labored in connection with Him,--His divine power combining with their human effort,--they could not fail of success.

And from today's:

    Thus Christ gave His disciples their commission. He made full provision for the prosecution of the work, and took upon Himself the responsibility for its success. So long as they obeyed His word, and worked in connection with Him, they could not fail. Go to all nations, He bade them. Go to the farthest part of the habitable globe, but know that My presence will be there. Labor in faith and confidence, for the time will never come when I will forsake you.

What is the lesson for us today? We need Jesus continually if we wish to be successful continually. We need to have His divine power in us. We must possess a dual nature as our Lord did. "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." 2 Peter 1:4.

Such a promise!! Such a God!!

The same lesson continues to ring in our ears. May we as a people hear.

The highest form of love is grace. It is the transforming power which turns sinners into saints. We cannot give the thee angels' message unless we are filled with God's grace. "Only by partaking of that love, through faith, can we be instruments for His work." Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, for it is a revelation of His character of grace and Truth. By beholding we become changed into His image from glory unto glory by His Spirit. It is a promise, and what a powerful truth!

Amen, Richard! But while today the church's hold on Christ may be weak, we may individually cry out to God as we behold HIs love for us and seek the fulfillment of His sure promise. The latter rain will come! The church will see revival and reformation, but we need to be daily converted to be a part of the flock that will be united in the present truth and experientially revealing Jesus in the life by the power of the Holy Spirit. Unity is the result of hearts and lives being entirely surrendered to Jesus Christ, so that the fruits of the Spirit are seen in the life without one missing!

Joel 2:23. But the "latter rain" will be more abundant. Joel 2:23.

Oh, praise God that each day we may continue to lift our petitions to heaven for this promised blessing! And praise God that even though we wait upon Him for a deeper outpouring of His Spirit, that today we may be reflecting Christ as we behold His matchless love--His grace that changes our hearts! Hallelujah!

I'm so sorry I have not been able to keep up with all of you in these readings. Between company and being laid up with a bad back I have fallen way behind but like the tortoise I have not given up and am slowly plugging along. I miss the interaction but had to give in to reality and admit that I just can not keep up. Love to read all your comments though. Wish I was a speed reader.

What are your plans when you finish this book?  Will you be starting over again?

We have missed you, Dorine!  Good to see your post!  Yes, we will be starting over on Monday. It is a daily reading for our personal devotions. Posting here is just an extra blessing.  This will be our fourth time around this time. We started the topic long ago, but it was not a daily reading. Now, we are keeping on a daily schedule. But, anyone can join in even if they only are reading off and on. We think it will be catching once one sees the blessing of contemplating the life of Christ an hour a day. And, it really is true about "especially the closing scenes."  What a blessing! Gethsemane, Calvary, and It is Finished!!  One cannot help but fall in love with Jesus. And, thus, by beholding we are becoming changed.

Yes, it does take time to post. At times I do not have time either. But, later in the day, I can often make a post. Don't feel you have to post every day. Just share as you have time, dear sister. It seems the closer we get to the end, the busier I find myself. I am looking for ways to cut back on things that are not as important as saving souls!!  :)

Sorry to hear about your back. I know how painful it can be since I have had back problems also. Will be praying for your back my dear friend.

Dorine, we are so happy to have you in the Desire of Ages forum, whenever you can post. I know that for me spending this "thoughtful hour" each day with Jesus has been life changing. It is my favorite part of being a pastor (or even a Christian for that matter!), and I know that each of us need the spiritual uplift that can only come through beholding the loveliness of Jesus. You mentioned about not being a "speed reader," and I would not consider myself one either. For me, it is just a matter of priority. One of the first things I choose to do each morning is to prayerfully read a chapter in Desire of Ages...I was already experiencing that blessing privately, but now I get to share a thought or two from how I was blessed, so the light can bless others. We look forward to your comments and thoughts whenever you get a chance to share. God bless you, dear sister!

I guess I never thought of a chapter a day as speed reading. Most of the time when I'm reading a book I'll read several chapters at a time. However, when it comes to the Desire of Ages I get more out of it when it's a chapter a day. You can take it slower and really think about it and hear what the Lord is saying to you that day. If your schedule is tight I would recommend 30 minutes (or half chapter) in the morning and then again in the evening.

I found that by reading the Desire Ages one's heart is drawn out towards Christ as you see new things every time as old truths are cemented even deeper. Also it has in a way become an error detector for me. Just today in SS class that I was visiting I heard something that didn't seem right so I quickly looked up the Desire of Ages and I had remembered correctly. Then there is blessing of sharing and discussing Christ with other fellow minded Christians here.

Dorine, in many of the chapters, there is a link to an audio file where I have narrated the chapter. It has been a blessing for me to listen to the chapter when I am driving or doing work where I can listen while I work. Just click on the link and it will begin playing. This is the fourth or fifth time I have recorded the Book. Not all chapters are narrated, but I am trying to finish it as I have time. There are so many chapters!!  87 to be specific!  It takes me a couple of hours to finish one, so it is time consuming, but a blessing as I am able to read and then listen.

Hopes this gives you another option to behold the loveliness of Jesus each day.

I found that by reading the Desire Ages one's heart is drawn out towards Christ as you see new things every time as old truths are cemented even deeper.

Amen. Jim. It is truly by beholding Jesus that we die to self daily and reflect His character. Love begets love, grace transforms the heart.

We have committed our work mainly to the church for the last 30 years. There is a reason why, and we find it in today's reading.

      There were in Jerusalem many who had secretly believed on Jesus, and many who had been deceived by the priests and rulers.

We shall soon see the same. The church will see revival and reformation. Already church members are using natural remedies are being used to heal the sick. This healing will grow much as more and more become converted and walk in the life.

The evidence of conversion is the love we have for others, even our enemies. God is not pleased when we do not help others.

In order to the work entrusted us, we need to be converted. We need Jesus.

It is tempting to quote this whole chapter! Such powerful truth! I will close with this powerful statement:

The Saviour longs to manifest His grace and stamp His character on the whole world. It is His purchased possession, and He desires to make men free, and pure, and holy. Though Satan works to hinder this purpose, yet through the blood shed for the world there are triumphs to be achieved that will bring glory to God and the Lamb.

For those who are having a problem finding time to read with us, try listening to a chapter while cleaning the house or driving. Christ promises a great blessing! At the beginning of almost all of the chapters is a link to a narration of the chapter. We will soon have a narration for each chapter in Desire of Ages in our Book Library at remnant-online.org

We are almost finished.     Here is the link.      Desire of Ages Audio (http://remnant-online.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=681:the-desire-of-ages&catid=86:books&Itemid=149)     You may copy and share freely.  We will be removing the chapter titles from the narration so that you can share the audio with those not of our faith without reference to Ellen White.  There is no reason to keep the truth locked up in the church. Sharing a particular chapter will be a great blessing to many who are seeking truth.

Amen, Richard!

You said, "It is tempting to quote this whole chapter! Such powerful truth!"

So true--the whole chapter is filled with incredible blessings for us as we behold the loveliness of Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to transform our hearts and lives!

What is God's glory that is robbed by unbelief? His character is His glory. When we do not believe that Christ has the power to make us partakers of the divine nature and give us grace to transform our hearts and minds to be fully new and pure, we are essentially calling God a liar and the church and the world is robbed of the manifestation of His glory (character). What is that character in action? It is all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing! We need Jesus constantly! When He abides in us and we in Him, that healing love will flow out to others freely!

If you ever wondered if Christ loves the sinner and hates the sin, here is evidence in that He longs to manifest His grace towards the whole world. He longs to make them free, pure and holy. And it will happen. The only thing we have to do is to give our will and our heart to Him and He'll do the rest. Everyone has a chance to make this decision. No one is left out.

Amen, Jim!  Jesus will transform, recreate, convert all who will come to Him, learning of Him, and making a full surrender of the heart to Him. Sadly, while many are called, few choose to learn of Him so that they trust Him with all they are and all they have. It is the greatest battle we shall ever fight. Once Jesus takes possession of the heart, does the battle end?  :)   No, but we have the assurance that we shall win the fight, if we will continually surrender our will to His. In order to keep on the upward path, we need to remain in an attitude of prayer and keep our focus on Jesus, else we end up in the water, just as Peter when looked back at his friends in the boat. We must cling to Christ in order to remain partakers of His divine nature. As we spend this thoughtful hour each day contemplating the life of Christ, we are remembering His great love and power, and our great need of Him continually to do any good thing.

And, how is it that the lost are to be saved? Today's reading has always impressed me with the fact that all of the lost out there in the world have a mother and father. And, it may be that they are or were praying long hours, days and nights for their loved one. And, if their child was out in a snow storm lost and freezing, and we passed them by without aiding them, what would the parents think of us for allowing their loved one to die without out help? How much more to pass by those eternally lost unless helped!

To those who claim fellowship with Christ, yet have been indifferent to the needs of their fellow men, He will declare in the great Judgment day, "I know you not whence ye are; depart from Me, all ye workers of iniquity." Luke 13:27.

There are lost souls for whom Christ died out there in the world. Many have loved ones praying for their salvation. And, God loves them all even more than their parents. And, what if we turn a blind eye to their need? Reminds us of the parable, which was not a parable at all, of the good Samaritan. It was a real event wherein the priest and the Levite  passed by the injured man. God help us to help those in need.

Amen, Jim and Richard! We are to start where we are, and help those nearest:

I was also thinking about the fact that it may seem that only a few are here reading these posts on Desire of Ages. It may seem that our work to encourage others to behold the loveliness of Jesus is restricted--but as these words go out over the internet, there may be thousands who will read, and many more at later times as God's Spirit leads. We may not know the significance of the smallest deed done by Christ's Spirit--but let us do it as He leads, any many others may be blessed and encouraged heavenward!

Not sure why I had not seen this point before. But I remember a long while back I struggled with the idea of predestination because with just a simple surface reading it can appear that some people are predestined without much of a choice. I remember it really bothering me but I didn't want it to shake my faith so I decided to add to a shelf in my brain where I put stuff I don't understand yet and let it go for a while. Then I don't remember how or why but when I started looking at this topic again a long while later, I decided that everyone was predestined for Heaven. This made much more sense to me and seemed to be in line with I understand the character of God to be. While this brought some relief and mostly satisfied me I couldn't file this as completely satisfied. Then today God has put the last nail in my understanding with this quote.

Praise the Lord, Jim! Indeed God has predestinated every one to be with Him in heaven--He voted for us by sending Jesus, and we are to vote for Him (to make our calling and election sure) by making a full-heart surrender to Him and maintaining that surrender to Him by faith and the impartation of the Holy Spirit! What a blessing to be able to know God chose us from the foundation of the world! Let us choose Him back today continually!

This really spoke to me today--as I realize that it is not the hardship and toil of life, or even poverty that degrades, it speaks to me that often that is what we try to alleviate--but if that is not going to lead to helping souls be set free from sin, then they have not been set free from the root cause of their unrest. Each soul needs Christ to have true, lasting peace. We need Jesus continually!

Amen!  We see here an important truth. As we each come to Jesus wanting to know the truth and the Author of Truth, we will be continually . What a blessing to understand! False teachers make life very hard for the unconverted.

I was impressed with a statement about faith. Each is given a measure of faith, but what is needed is "saving faith." Believing is not the issue. It is believing with all the heart and mind. The devils believe and are forever lost. What is the opposite of faith? Unbelief. There is no greater sin than "unbelief." It is amazing to find those in the church who object to this truth.

     There were places where the Saviour Himself could not do many mighty works because of their unbelief. So now unbelief separates the church from her divine Helper. Her hold upon eternal realities is weak. By her lack of faith, God is disappointed, and robbed of His glory.

What is the solution? Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. The Word was mad flesh. If we would spend a thoughtful hour a day contemplating the life of Christ, we would have "saving faith." We would be converted daily by beholding the goodness of God. Grace is the transforming power. Praise God for His grace to the children of men.

This speaks volumes. Especially today when people are mostly interested in God's blessings rather than God Himself. They weren't worried just for their own salvation. Like Moses care for the Hebrews the disciples had a burden to see others saved also. How is it with us?

Amen, Jim. There is so much in today's reading, but I like this. God puts a burden on all who are truly converted, to help others know Jesus.

When the church is converted, then many who are waiting will be brought into the church.

When we give the whole heart to Christ, then we will have power to help others.

Amen, Richard and Jim! Soul-Winning becomes our chief delight when Jesus is our chief delight, for winning souls was why He came to our dark earth, the Father risking so much for us!

Jesus loves us and desires us to share the truth warm from a rich experience of the knowledge and practice of the truth! We cannot give what we do not have, and unless we are vitally connected with Jesus by a full-heart surrender, we shall not be able to give the truth as it is in Jesus. We need Jesus moment-by-moment, and I invite you to join me in consecrating yourself fully to Him so that others may be blessed by seeing Christ at work in you in life by each thought, look, word, and deed!

In connection with Matthew 28:16-20, I was blessed to read this from The Desire of Ages, chapter 86, this morning:

"The gospel is to be presented, not as a lifeless theory, but as a living force to change the life. God desires that the receivers of His grace shall be witnesses to its power. Those whose course has been most offensive to Him He freely accepts; when they repent, He imparts to them His divine Spirit, places them in the highest positions of trust, and sends them forth into the camp of the disloyal to proclaim His boundless mercy. He would have His servants bear testimony to the fact that through His grace men may possess Christlikeness of character, and may rejoice in the assurance of His great love. He would have us bear testimony to the fact that He cannot be satisfied until the human race are reclaimed and reinstated in their holy privileges as His sons and daughters." {The Desire of Ages, page 826, paragraph 2}

There is power in the gospel to transform us into a fully Christ-like character--bearing all of the fruits of the Spirit so that not one is missing!!!

Such a simple truth!! Why is it so hard to accept? Because fallen man does not easily give up his pride and is not willing to make the sacrifice necessary to enter the kingdom of God. But, this can change if they will learn of God. If all would behold His love, they would be transformed in character. "By His stripes we are healed."

Amen, Richard! Each of us may come to Christ and be transformed in character by beholding His infinite love and grace! I love who Jesus is to us!

 "In Christ is the tenderness of the shepherd, the affection of the parent, and the matchless grace of the compassionate Saviour. His blessings He presents in the most alluring terms. He is not content merely to announce these blessings; He presents them in the most attractive way, to excite a desire to possess them. So His servants are to present the riches of the glory of the unspeakable Gift. The wonderful love of Christ will melt and subdue hearts, when the mere reiteration of doctrines would accomplish nothing. 'Comfort ye, comfort ye My people, saith your God.' 'O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! . . . He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom.' Isaiah 40:1, 9-11. Tell the people of Him who is 'the Chiefest among ten thousand,' and the One 'altogether lovely.' The Song of Solomon 5:10, 16. Words alone cannot tell it. Let it be reflected in the character and manifested in the life. Christ is sitting for His portrait in every disciple. Every one God has predestinated to be 'conformed to the image of His Son.' Romans 8:29. In every one Christ's long-suffering love, His holiness, meekness, mercy, and truth are to be manifested to the world." {The Desire of Ages, page 826, paragraph 3}

I love this thought of how Christ is sitting for His portrait in every disciple--and in order for His character to be reproduced in us, we must look to Him and live, learn of Him, and unlearn the ways of this world that contradict the selfless character of Christ. When we surrender fully to Christ, He forgives our sins and imparts to us His Spirit. As long as we abide in Christ, His Spirit is transforming us to be ever more like Him, while all of the fruits of the Spirit will be seen in our lives, not one will be missing, but these precious graces can become richer and more abundant!

God is so gracious to us! He uses each humble instrumentality for the fulfillment of His great commission, and though our beginning may be small, it will continue to swell until the whole earth is given a manifestation of His glory, and Christ's character is revealed that all may choose whom they will serve! Let us today choose Christ anew with a full-heart surrender!

"For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth" (Zechariah 4:10). Small beginnings can have glorious results! God's Spirit is at work throughout the whole earth to draw souls to Christ! Let us cooperate with the Holy Spirit today!

"The disciples were to begin their work where they were. The hardest and most unpromising field was not to be passed by. So every one of Christ's workers is to begin where he is. In our own families may be souls hungry for sympathy, starving for the bread of life. There may be children to be trained for Christ. There are heathen at our very doors. Let us do faithfully the work that is nearest. Then let our efforts be extended as far as God's hand may lead the way. The work of many may appear to be restricted by circumstances; but, wherever it is, if performed with faith and diligence it will be felt to the uttermost parts of the earth. Christ's work when upon earth appeared to be confined to a narrow field, but multitudes from all lands heard His message. God often uses the simplest means to accomplish the greatest results. It is His plan that every part of His work shall depend on every other part, as a wheel within a wheel, all acting in harmony. The humblest worker, moved by the Holy Spirit, will touch invisible chords, whose vibrations will ring to the ends of the earth, and make melody through eternal ages." {The Desire of Ages, page 822, paragraph 4}

Whoever we are, wherever we are, if we are connected to Jesus, all the fruits of His Spirit will be seen in our lives, people will be drawn to the uplifted Savior, and we will have joy unspeakable and full of glory because we have set the Lord always before us! What a privilege it is to be colaborers with Christ for the salvation of souls! Let us pray, "Lord, please give me one more soul for You!" (And then keep praying that prayer as you hunger for more and more souls for His glorious name!)

What a compelling chapter! Paragraph after paragraph is filled with conditional promises and truth. We are almost 'Home'. Am I living the gospel message? Am I burdened for lost souls? Does the love of Jesus show in my life through all circumstances I face?

These quotes popped out at me. "Christ is sitting for His portrait in every disciple."......."In every one Christ's long-suffering love, His holiness, meekness, mercy, and truth are to be manifested to the world."......."Let Christians put away their dissensions, and give themselves to God for the saving of the lost."....."Through co-operation with Christ they are complete in Him, and in their human weakness they are enabled to do the deeds of Omnipotence."

Amen, Sister Dorine and Pastor Sean!! What a work God has entrusted to us. While we are to not pass by those nearest us, we are also told to take the gospel to all the world, to the farthest corners of the world. Impossible, you say? For over 20 years, we have been reaching into living rooms around the world, including the big cities. It is not as personal as face to face in real life, but it is the Holy Spirit that takes the Word and opens hungry minds to the truth of God's love.

We have been given the technology that we may sit in our living rooms and reach to the far corners of the Earth. What excuse do we have for not doing so? None.

Jesus says "'Go ye therefore, and teach all nations. Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.' Mark 16:15. Again and again the words were repeated, that the disciples might grasp their significance. Upon all the inhabitants of the earth, high and low, rich and poor, was the light of heaven to shine in clear, strong rays. The disciples were to be colaborers with their Redeemer in the work of saving the world."

Some will say we have been doing this for over a hundred years. No, we have not. Today, in the church there is much confusion as to what is the gospel message. It is the true gospel message we are to take to the world, not a false gospel. Therefore, it is so much important that those whose eyes have been opened be faithful to take the gospel as far as they can,  not overlooking those nearby.

I need Jesus help today--how about you? Infinite help is provided us!!

 "All who consecrate soul, body, and spirit to God will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical and mental power. The inexhaustible supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in heart and mind. Through co-operation with Christ they are complete in Him, and in their human weakness they are enabled to do the deeds of Omnipotence." {The Desire of Ages, page 827, paragraph 3}

God enables us to do His work for His glory by His Spirit--the evidence that the work is of Him is that we are revealing in our lives all of the fruits of His Spirit without one missing! We gladly live up to every known duty and every revealed principle of His law of love! Praise God for this great joy in serving Him with gladness!!

Amen Pastor Sean! When we give the whole heart to Christ, the Spirit brings into the heart and mind "physical and mental power." We are new creature in Christ Jesus! And, then we have an unbelievable message to take to a world soon to perish. Sinners may be forgiven and have eternal life with Jesus!

God's plan of diffusing the light of the gospel is so simple, and yet so expansive. As we begin where we are, reaching those nearest to us, one more will reach another, and the light of Christ's loveliness of character will continue to draw others. We have been placed where we are in God's great plan because He knows what He is preparing us for, and how He will use us to glorify His name.

"The disciples were to begin their work where they were. The hardest and most unpromising field was not to be passed by. So every one of Christ's workers is to begin where he is. In our own families may be souls hungry for sympathy, starving for the bread of life. There may be children to be trained for Christ. There are heathen at our very doors. The humblest worker, moved by the Holy Spirit, will touch invisible chords, whose vibrations will ring to the ends of the earth, and make melody through eternal ages." {The Desire of Ages, page 822, paragraph 4}

We need Jesus at every step, and with Him in the heart there will be positive evidence--all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing, even as Christ is glorified and honored by seeing His character stamped upon all who come unto Him!

Ordination is an  issue in God's church today. Some want what God has not ordained. But, all may have an ordination that is higher than the ordination conferred by man. The wisdom of man is  often faulty. Thus we will find ordinations made by the church to be a mistake. But, the ordinations made by God will not reveal  any mistakes. If we will give Jesus the whole heart, then we too may be ordained of Him to take the real gospel to the world.What a trust!! And, what joy to be called to share the love of Jesus with a world soon to perish!

What an awesome promise. If this is not happening in our lives then we need to go back to our closets and recommit our lives to Him. This is His promise to each one of us. It's not just a nice idea or someone's theory. It's ours to claim when we have consecrated our all to Him. Praise His name.

Amen, Dorine!! This is one of the promises I love to claim each day, and I love it so much I have prayerfully made it into a song!

The most momentous events the world will ever see are about to transpire. What is it that is so essential at this time?

"The first disciples went forth preaching the word. They revealed Christ in their lives. And the Lord worked with them, 'confirming the word with signs following.' Mark 16:20. These disciples prepared themselves for their work. Before the day of Pentecost they met together, and put away all differences. They were of one accord. They believed Christ's promise that the blessing would be given, and they prayed in faith. They did not ask for a blessing for themselves merely; they were weighted with the burden for the salvation of souls. The gospel was to be carried to the uttermost parts of the earth, and they claimed the endowment of power that Christ had promised. Then it was that the Holy Spirit was poured out, and thousands were converted in a day." {The Desire of Ages, page 827, paragraph 1}
     "So it may be now. Instead of man's speculations, let the word of God be preached. Let Christians put away their dissensions, and give themselves to God for the saving of the lost. Let them in faith ask for the blessing, and it will come. The outpouring of the Spirit in apostolic days was the 'former rain,' and glorious was the result. But the "latter rain" will be more abundant. Joel 2:23."  {The Desire of Ages, page 827, paragraph 2}

With such promises before us, may be prayerfully unite together with fellow believers so there can be right thoughts and feelings between us, there can be reconciliation and healing where there were wounds and misunderstandings, and we can earnestly pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to bring in the final gospel harvest, as the message of the loveliness of Jesus will sound throughout the world!

Amen, Sister Dorine and Pastor Sean! We are called to take the greatest message ever given to man or angels to the world. What a privilege! Christ wants to set us free from sin!! The paragraph after the one Sister Dorine shared says this:

"The gospel is to be presented, not as a lifeless theory, but as a living force to change the life. He would have us bear testimony to the fact that He cannot be satisfied until the human race are reclaimed and reinstated in their holy privileges as His sons and daughters."

However, we cannot give what we ourselves have not experienced. It must be more than "theory" . Jesus said to Peter in Luke 22:31 "I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren."  When this commission of Jesus is shared with others, it will only change lives when we ourselves have a personal testimony to bear.
:
"In Christ is the tenderness of the shepherd, the affection of the parent, and the matchless grace of the compassionate Saviour. His blessings He presents in the most alluring terms. He is not content merely to announce these blessings; He presents them in the most attractive way, to excite a desire to possess them. So His servants are to present the riches of the glory of the unspeakable Gift. The wonderful love of Christ will melt and subdue hearts, when the mere reiteration of doctrines would accomplish nothing."

Do you want to have this type of personal testimony? Here is a vital key....Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Mathew 7:7,8.

Christ would have His servants minister to sin-sick souls."

What a power packed paragraph. This is the commission given to us by Christ and He promises us the Holy Spirit who will supply us with the tools needed to "minister to sin-sick souls." There's something about serving others that brings joy and humility to our hearts.

It's wonderful to be back on line again. Is your plan to join here at chapter 86 where we left off? or to join with chapter 6 where we would be if we had been posting everyday as usual? I'm going to post my thoughts on this chapter this morning in case this is where you are going to pick it up again.

"The disciples were to begin their work where they were. The hardest and most unpromising field was not to be passed by. So every one of Christ's workers is to begin where he is. In our own families may be souls hungry for sympathy, starving for the bread of life. There may be children to be trained for Christ. There are heathen at our very doors. Let us do faithfully the work that is nearest."

We have a mission field all around us. It starts in the home and spreads out. What a privilege we have as Christs disciples to share the wonderful news of salvation. He will never turn anyone away that comes to Him. Just as Jesus was steps away from His heavenly home we too are just steps away from our eternal home. May we not grow complacent while we wait.  With the help of the Holy Spirit there's still much work to be done.

At one point I was invited to preach a " Thanksgiving Day " message at a church that was about 1.5hrs away from where I lived. I always feel that it is a " Divine Appointment " when such an invitation is given. As I reviewed my notes, and prayed for God's guidance, the Holy Spirit seem to indicate that the message I planned to share was not the one needed. So after praying again I had the impression that it would be best to tell them what I was thankful for the "most" and then invite the congregation to do the same. When I finished sharing my testimony there were strong " amen's. " Then to my surprise, the entire congregation of about 35 people were eager to share their testimonies of Thankfulness to Jesus for all He had done for them. It was electrifying and one could strongly sense the Holy Spirit's presence and even though the service went overtime in a major way---No one was anxious to leave. So I would like to post again the closing sentence of the above paragraph for your encouragement to become an Active Laboring Labor for Jesus...You too will be amazed at what God will do through you if you are WILLING.

 "The humblest worker, moved by the Holy Spirit, will touch invisible chords, whose vibrations will ring to the ends of the earth, and make melody through eternal ages."

This seems to be describing the condition of our church today. It's too easy to leave it to organizations to do the work but there are needy souls all around within our influence that should not be overlooked. What is it going to take to wake us up? Let's not wait until the church as a whole wakes up. God will start the work in us as we yield our hearts to Him.  As we yoke up with Him the power of God will work in our lives to accomplish mighty works for the saving of souls for the kingdom of heaven. What an awesome privilege God has given to each one of us.

This is the last verse to a song I sing each morning before starting my day.

O, Holy Ghost revival comes from Thee
Send a revival, start the work in me.
Thy word declares, Thou wilt supply our need;
For blessings now O, Lord, I humbly plead.

Amen, Brother Beacon and Sister Dorine!!

As we share what Jesus has done for us personally and individually, we find grace and strength to continue to receive from Christ and continue to impart! He knew we needed to have an active part in sharing the gospel, and that is why Jesus invites us to start where we are as we yield the whole heart to Him! A complete surrender motivated by beholding the loveliness of Jesus (God's grace) leads us to experience genuine conversion manifest in whole-hearted obedience to all His commandments with the accompanying witness that all of the fruits of the Spirit are manifest in the life without one missing! That cannot be a lifeless theory!!

"The gospel is to be presented, not as a lifeless theory, but as a living force to change the life. God desires that the receivers of His grace shall be witnesses to its power. Those whose course has been most offensive to Him He freely accepts; when they repent, He imparts to them His divine Spirit, places them in the highest positions of trust, and sends them forth into the camp of the disloyal to proclaim His boundless mercy. He would have His servants bear testimony to the fact that through His grace men may possess Christlikeness of character, and may rejoice in the assurance of His great love. He would have us bear testimony to the fact that He cannot be satisfied until the human race are reclaimed and reinstated in their holy privileges as His sons and daughters." {The Desire of Ages, page 826, paragraph 2}

When we realize that Jesus is not satisfied yet, it can motivate us also not to be satisfied yet--but to seek and save the lost around us so that His great sacrifice for them on Calvary may not have been in vain!

Amen Pastor Sean! What a privilege we all have to work with God in saving the lost! It is why Jesus does not lay us to rest when we are truly converted as we saw with the thief on the cross. There is a work to do here that requires our help.

Amen Brother Beacon! We are instructed that our people do not need a sermon every Sabbath, but what is needed are testimonies of how God is working in our lives. It has been my practice to always give opportunity for those in attendance to share before I preach.

Today's reading reminds us that the health message given to us is the "right arm" of the gospel. It gives us opportunity to plow the ground before we attempt to plant the seed of truth. Many fail to understand God wants to heal us body, mind, and Spirit.

     I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee." Exodus 15:26.

Amen! And this is found in the opening chapter of Ministry of Healing: Our Lord Jesus Christ came to this world as the unwearied servant of manís necessity. He ďtook our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses,Ē that He might minister to every need of humanity. Matthew 8:17. The burden of disease and wretchedness and sin He came to remove. It was His mission to bring to men complete restoration; He came to give them health and peace and perfection of character.

Varied were the circumstances and needs of those who besought His aid, and none who came to Him went away unhelped. From Him flowed a stream of healing power, and in body and mind and soul men were made whole.

18 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. What will our response be?

Amen, Brother Beacon! I choose to respond with my whole heart to Jesus for His will to be done!!

May we realize the simplicity with which Christ healed the sick and follow His manner of labor in pointing them to the simple agencies of nature without the use of drug medication, which places an additional burden on the immune system. I can testify of the healing power of the NEWSTART lifestyle in Christ: Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunshine, Temperance, Air, Rest, and Trust (in God's Divine Power) to have been the healing method Jesus used to restore me from bipolar disorder in 2011. The medications I once was on were not truly healing me, and there were major side effects as well. Jesus' method is best!!! I am so grateful for the power of His love to restore and motivate the soul to cooperate with the healing power of His grace so the soul may reveal all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing!

 "In the Saviour's manner of healing there were lessons for His disciples. On one occasion He anointed the eyes of a blind man with clay, and bade him, 'Go, wash in the pool of Siloam. . . . He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.' John 9:7. The cure could be wrought only by the power of the Great Healer, yet Christ made use of the simple agencies of nature. While He did not give countenance to drug medication, He sanctioned the use of simple and natural remedies." {The Desire of Ages, page 824, paragraph 1}

Let us cooperate with Jesus in His healing plan both for our lives and the lives of those around us!!

Amen, my brothers!  God has given to His people power to heal both body and soul. The right arm of the gospel is the health message. It is the method that God has given to us to plow the ground before we plant the Seed of truth. Jesus spend more time healing than preaching.

We shall not be disappointed as we seek to save the lost. Our field is the whole Earth! God has put into our hands a way to reach out to many in their homes all over the world. Working with Jesus, our efforts will receive the power of God, and we cannot fail!

As I watch family and friends suddenly succumb to cancer lately I am amazed to see how many are refusing to seek God for healing through His natural and spiritual laws. We must trust God completely to do as He promises even if it may not make sense to us.

Yes dear sister, it is amazing, but understandable. Like the person addicted to smoking can be diagnosed with lung cancer, but they will not quit smoking. So it is with unconverted sinners who when diagnosed with a disease will not give their hearts to Christ and follow His laws. They will not read Counsels on Health, Ministry of Healing, or any other healthl book which is inspired. They are intent on following the doctors prescription and will continue on until life expires. You would think that life was more precious, and they would try anything since they know they are dying. But, they will continue to follow their own wisdom, and not the wisdom of God. We ought not be amazed because a Laodicean people are blind to their sins and their need of Jesus. How very sad indeed.

Amen, Brother Beacon!

Let us give the message Christ has entrusted to us!!

"In the commission to His disciples, Christ not only outlined their work, but gave them their message. Teach the people, He said, 'to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.' The disciples were to teach what Christ had taught. That which He had spoken, not only in person, but through all the prophets and teachers of the Old Testament, is here included. Human teaching is shut out. There is no place for tradition, for man's theories and conclusions, or for church legislation. No laws ordained by ecclesiastical authority are included in the commission. None of these are Christ's servants to teach. 'The law and the prophets,' with the record of His own words and deeds, are the treasure committed to the disciples to be given to the world. Christ's name is their watchword, their badge of distinction, their bond of union, the authority for their course of action, and the source of their success. Nothing that does not bear His superscription is to be recognized in His kingdom." {The Desire of Ages, page 826, paragraph 1}

As we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and feed upon His word, we can gladly and boldly share with others what will uplift the soul from the ruin and degradation of sin to receive new hearts as they become partakers of the divine nature whereby all of the fruits of the Spirit will be manifest in the life without one missing! What joy to live in harmony with the will of God as revealed in His law--the definition of freedom!

What a spectacular description of the revival that is coming to our church. Not everyone will accept it but those that do will be of one accord and used mightily for the saving of souls. We are told that the latter rain will be even more abundant than the early rain. But to be part of that group we must first experience the early rain by daily spending time with God and in full surrender to Him in preparation for that great event that is about to take place among God's people.

Amen, amen, and amen!!

There is so very much in this chapter, not the least of which is God's trust in us to take the gospel to the whole world. But, there was a short simple statement that is so very important to His church. Sadly, far too many trust in the physician and His drugs instead of God for healing. The following statement needs no explanation. It is easy to understand.

The health message is the "right arm" of the gospel. We are to become educated in how God wants to use us to heal the sick. It is then that hearts will be softened and many will inquire as to how we learned to heal and how is the God we love and serve.

Amen, Brother Beacon and Sister Dorine!

Our Heavenly Father gives us amazing promises as we go forth in the name of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit to spread the everlasting gospel that uplifts Jesus in His infinite loveliness so that all who will "look and live" may have everlasting life! Yielding the whole heart to Christ, He cleanses the heart and makes it new, comes to abide in us and fill us with all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing, and motivates us to affectionately obey His law of freedom--the Ten Commandments!

"The Saviour longs to manifest His grace and stamp His character on the whole world. It is His purchased possession, and He desires to make men free, and pure, and holy. Though Satan works to hinder this purpose, yet through the blood shed for the world there are triumphs to be achieved that will bring glory to God and the Lamb. Christ will not be satisfied till the victory is complete, and 'He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied.' Isaiah 53:11. All the nations of the earth shall hear the gospel of His grace. Not all will receive His grace; but 'a seed shall serve Him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.' Psalm 22:30. 'The kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High,' and 'the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.' 'So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun.' Daniel 7:27; Isaiah 11:9; 59:19." {The Desire of Ages, page 827, paragraph 4}

Let us dismiss our fears and doubts and go forth in the power of the Holy Spirit by having enjoyed that "thoughtful hour" upon the life of Christ, realizing that by beholding Christ, we become changed, and that others will see Jesus in us as long as we have that moment-by-moment union and communion with Him!

Amen Pastor Sean! He will have a church that reflects His character. And he has made provision that we would have power and Grace to attract those seeking truth. And He has given us all we need to do the work. Christ spent more time healing than preaching. So ought we.

Amen Brother Beacon!!  He is our example in all things. We are to be His disciples and reflect His character.

"Thus Christ gave His disciples their commission. He made full provision for the prosecution of the work, and took upon Himself the responsibility for its success. So long as they obeyed His word, and worked in connection with Him, they could not fail.

Amen!! He has given us power to heal the sick using His natural remedies. When we and our families are sick, it gives us experience in dealing with His ways of healing that the world might be blessed by understanding His ways of dealing with disease. Then they will want to know more about our great God!

     In the Saviour's manner of healing there were lessons for His disciples. On one occasion He anointed the eyes of a blind man with clay, and bade him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam. . . . Are "We"  living ONLY for Ourselves? Accumulating more " THINGS" more "MONEY" only to be used on Self Gratification? I urge you as soon as possible to read Matthew chapter 25 ASAP - Then join with me, pray and recommit your life to Jesus,

Amen, Brother Beacon!

Does what we are called to do seem impossible? Good! Because with God, nothing is impossible and He can make ways where there seems to be no way! His Holy Spirit can constantly increase our strength and capacity for service and guide in ways that pass our finite understanding!

"All who consecrate soul, body, and spirit to God will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical and mental power. The inexhaustible supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in heart and mind. The grace of God enlarges and multiplies their faculties, and every perfection of the divine nature comes to their assistance in the work of saving souls. Through co-operation with Christ they are complete in Him, and in their human weakness they are enabled to do the deeds of Omnipotence." {The Desire of Ages, page 827, paragraph 3}

Let us look away from the weakness of self to the omnipotence of God's grace, love and power. As we look and live, the Holy Spirit will abide in the converted soul and not only cause all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing to be seen in the life, but will open up ways to reach others by an affectionate obedience experience of living to bless others! When we let God do in us what He plans, it is a joy!

The disciples were to begin their work where they were. The hardest and most unpromising field was not to be passed by. So every one of Christ's workers is to begin where he is. In our own families may be souls hungry for sympathy, starving for the bread of life .There may be children to be trained for Christ.

John 17;20  Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

John 8;30 -31  30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.

31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

This quotation struck at my heart, as we read in John 17: 20-21 in Jesus great intercessory prayer, he prayed for us today, who hear his word from those who did not see him on this earth who come to believe on him, we become one with him then in John 8:30-31 he states when we believe on him we are his disciples.
We should be laboring in this world right were we are to plant seeds for Christ so the Holy Spirit can work on them and germinate them into growth and His Spiritual kingdom may grow. Then as these disciples labor His love and grace will spread to cover the whole face of the earth.
This was his commission to the disciples at his return to heaven, and it is our commission today to spread his word to every Kingdom, tribe, and people. I pray that the lord will lead and give me the courage to do this.  We all should be busy doing Gods work.

Amen, Brother Beacon!

We are to preach the gospel by living the gospel, and Jesus, the embodiment of the gospel, is wiling to live out His life in us as we surrender the whole heart to Him and let the Holy Spirit manifest through us all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing while simultaneously keeping us from manifesting one of the works of the flesh! Grace has power to transform sinners into saints and to keep the repentant soul from falling!

"The gospel is to be presented, not as a lifeless theory, but as a living force to change the life. God desires that the receivers of His grace shall be witnesses to its power. Those whose course has been most offensive to Him He freely accepts; when they repent, He imparts to them His divine Spirit, places them in the highest positions of trust, and sends them forth into the camp of the disloyal to proclaim His boundless mercy. He would have His servants bear testimony to the fact that through His grace men may possess Christlikeness of character, and may rejoice in the assurance of His great love. He would have us bear testimony to the fact that He cannot be satisfied until the human race are reclaimed and reinstated in their holy privileges as His sons and daughters." {The Desire of Ages, page 826, paragraph 2}

God has great plans for us--and we can scarcely begin to realize what eternity will have for us, so now is the time to share the good news with as many as possible, and with as much enthusiasm and perseverance as possible, for the value of the soul is infinite in light of Christ's sacrifice at Calvary!

We cannot win souls to Christ on our own, only by liking with Him and allowing His love to fill us to overflowing can we then spread that love to others as the hymn says "Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up Lord! Come and quench this thirsting of my soul; Bread of heaven feed me until I want no more", Fill mu cup, fill it up till I want no more. When full the cup overflows to those around us, and they are drawn to that marvelous light/love also.

Amen dear brothers!!  What a privilege we have to represent our Saviour as we labor to save souls!!

Amen!!  He longs to reveal His character to us. Why? Because grace is more than a word. His character of grace transforms sinners into saints! Or as Jesus puts it: "The Saviour longs to manifest His grace and stamp His character on the whole world. It is His purchased possession, and He desires to make men free, and pure, and holy." What is a saint? One who is free, pure, and holy.  Yes, I know that appears to be an abomination to think, but it is the truth. Let us not disappoint our Savior!

"Tell the people of Him who is "the Chiefest among ten thousand," and the One "altogether lovely." The Song of Solomon 5:10, 16.

Wow, what an awesome thought. As many times as I have read this it took today's reading for it to sink in much deeper. What I say, what I do, what I eat, what I wear, where I go and how I treat others reflects the character of the one I am representing. If my life is painting the picture of my Jesus then,"Christ's long-suffering love, His holiness, meekness, mercy, and truth are to be manifested to the world."   To this promise I submit my will and commit my life.

Amen Sister Dorine what a sobering  thought, we are painting the picture of Jesus those around us may see, it could  be their only picture of Jesus. So let us paint a true reflection of God in our Characters.

The only way to present God's truths to others is through His love by Faith, reflected to those around us as we present His work. When we present God's work without the connection to God by Faith, and the Holy Spirit it is not as successful as it should be, Jesus and Jesus only should be our connection through faith.  Pray for this connection in our lives not only when doing God's work but every moment of our lives.

"The apostles and their associates were unlettered men, yet through the outpouring of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost, their speech, whether in their own or a foreign language, became pure, simple, and accurate, both in word and in accent."

The Great Gospel Commission is...."Matthew 28:18-20 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

"Thus Christ gave His disciples their commission. He made full provision for the prosecution of the work, and took upon Himself the responsibility for its success.

"So long as they obeyed His word, and worked in connection with Him, they could not fail."

"Go to all nations, He bade them. Go to the farthest part of the habitable globe, but know that My presence will be there. Labor in faith and confidence, for the time will never come when I will forsake you."

You do not need a Doctorate Degree in Religion from some prestigious university - You only need the Power of the Holy Spirit which is promised to ALL who are willing to Surrender ALL to Jesus.

"The power of love was in all Christ's healing, and only by partaking of that love, through faith, can we be instruments for His work."...

"Where there is no active labor for others, love wanes, and faith grows dim."

I urge you, as I do myself, to take Spiritual Inventory as soon as possible!  How are "WE" spending our time each day?? Are we spending at least 1 hour/day reading and praying - asking God for Spiritual Power to live for Him? -- Pleading for forgiveness for all the times we have wasted and opportunities missed! Are "We"  living ONLY for Ourselves? Accumulating more " THINGS" more "MONEY" only to be used on Self Gratification? I urge you as soon as possible to read Matthew chapter 25 ASAP -

Then join with me, pray and recommit your life to Jesus,

Because - Time is running out and the final movements will be rapid ones.

Amen, Sister Dorine, Brother Philip, and Brother Beacon!

With limitless possibilities before us, how can we ever be discouraged when Christ abides in our hearts and leads the way before us to victory in reaching souls for Him? What love, joy and peace that pass all understanding along with all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing come to us as we experience total surrender to Christ and let Him live out His life in us in affectionate obedience to His law of love!

"All who consecrate soul, body, and spirit to God will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical and mental power. The inexhaustible supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in heart and mind. The grace of God enlarges and multiplies their faculties, and every perfection of the divine nature comes to their assistance in the work of saving souls. Through co-operation with Christ they are complete in Him, and in their human weakness they are enabled to do the deeds of Omnipotence." {The Desire of Ages, page 827, paragraph 3}

This is so amazing! Let's expect great things of God and allow Him to do more than we can ask or think through us!

A new week and new opportunities to follow the instruction of our Lord. All who will spend a thoughtful hour a day contemplating the life of Jesus will understand and obtain the power that grace allowed into the heart brings. Only then can we extend to other the living water of life.

   The Saviour longs to manifest His grace and stamp His character on the whole world. It is His purchased possession, and He desires to make men free, and pure, and holy. "So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun." Daniel 7:27; Isaiah 11:9; 59:19.

Jesus is not idly standing at the doors, but He is actively leading a people to hasten His soon coming. Let us work with Him as we seek to find and save the lost.

"No laws ordained by ecclesiastical authority are included in the commission. None of these are Christ's servants to teach. 'The law and the prophets,' with the record of His own words and deeds, are the treasure committed to the disciples to be given to the world. Christ's name is their watchword, their badge of distinction, their bond of union, the authority for their course of action, and the source of their success."

"Let us do faithfully the work that is nearest. Then let our efforts be extended as far as God's hand may lead the way. The work of many may appear to be restricted by circumstances; but, wherever it is, if performed with faith and diligence it will be felt to the uttermost parts of the earth. "

"Christ's work when upon earth appeared to be confined to a narrow field, but multitudes from all lands heard His message. God often uses the simplest means to accomplish the greatest results. It is His plan that every part of His work shall depend on every other part, as a wheel within a wheel, all acting in harmony.

"The humblest worker, moved by the Holy Spirit, will touch invisible chords, whose vibrations will ring to the ends of the earth, and make melody through eternal ages."

My prayer this morning for each of us is... That we may be fully surrendered to Jesus and be found faithful to the gospel commission.

Amen Brother Beacon, what a precious promise that we may reflect the character of our  Savior!!

The world is sick. We have been given great light regarding health. Do we truly appreciate it?

Do we believe these truths? How do we apply what we read in our world today? Does this have any bearing on the sickness we see today? Who is it that heals? Who is it that keeps from disease? Why are so many today dictating that all will obey the so called science in regards to vaccinations? Why so so many have such great fear?

Amen, Brother Beacon and Brother Richard!!

Let us trust God to guide us by the Holy Spirit! There is no limit to the usefulness of our lives when we surrender COMPLETELY to Jesus! Then, when the whole heart is yielded to Christ, all of the fruits of the Spirit will be in our lives without one missing! Then we can obey Jesus up to all the light He has shown us because He is inviting us to an experience higher and better than we can ask or think!

"All who consecrate soul, body, and spirit to God will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical and mental power. The inexhaustible supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in heart and mind. Through co-operation with Christ they are complete in Him, and in their human weakness they are enabled to do the deeds of Omnipotence." {The Desire of Ages, page 827, paragraph 3}

Trust God in the trying seasons and speak faith and hope. Encourage others even when facing deep trial. Rejoice evermore and pray without ceasing! There are great triumphs to be gained for the cross as we GO FORWARD in His will!

    Iíve wandered far away from God,
  Now Iím coming home;
The paths of sin too long Iíve trod,
  Lord, Iím coming home.
    Coming home, coming home,
  Nevermore to roam;
Open wide Thine arms of love;
    Lord, Iím coming home.
2
Iíve wasted many precious years,
  Now Iím coming home;
I now repent with bitter tears,
  Lord, Iím coming home.
3
Iím tired of sin and straying, Lord,
  Now Iím coming home;
Iíll trust Thy love, believe Thy word;
  Lord, Iím coming home.
4
My soul is sick, my heart is sore,
  Now Iím coming home;
My strength renew, my hope restore:
  Lord, Iím coming home.
5
My only hope, my only plea,
  Now Iím coming home;
That Jesus died, and died for me;
  Lord, Iím coming home.
6
I need His cleansing blood, I know,

O wash me whiter than the snow;
  Lord, Iím coming home.

I find this a very interesting thought, If God's church is not willing to spread His word, to surrender to Him and allow His love to flow through us to others. The love of Christ and even our faith and thus the faith of the church is weakened. So, by failing to spread the love of Christ to those around us is God's way of growing our faith, the faith of those around us, and the church as well.  What a blessing it is to spread the word, character, and love of Christ to the world.

I was once a sin sick soul. I did not need or want anyone to condone my condition nor did I need anyone to point fingers and say "I told you so." or "You made your bed....."  What encouragement and reassurance Jesus brings to those in sin. He heals, forgives and says, "Go and sin no more." We are Christs witnesses to share what He has done for us and to bring hope to the guilty despondent souls. This can be more powerful than a sermon.

Amen dear sister! We read the chapter on the Death of Moses yesterday. It is an amazing thing that Moses had not been sinning for a very long time.....and then he sinned. It was a very great sin, so great that even after a very quick and deep repentance, he had to die. But as our sister has shared, we do not have to be discouraged nor fearful when we have repented or our great sin. Moses understand God would not forsake him. And, he did not complain about not being able to go into the promised land. He knew there was a better place that he looked forward to. He was not living for self, but to glorify God. Are we as motivated as was Moses to do the work of God? Do we think we are not able to do so? We cannot do a very good job  if we have not His living water in our hearts. But, if we have given the Lord the whole heart, then He will give us the Holy Spirit and He will empower us to all that God wants from us. We can then give to others the great hope and joy God has given us. We can tell them of the great love has for them and the promises of forgiveness of sin and the love, joy, and peace that comes with a full surrender.

We all have been blessed in what the Spirit has revealed. He is bringing us into unity of doctrine as well as unity of Spirit. Let pass this wonderful experience on to others in this new year. Let us hasten the soon coming of our Lord and Savior!!

Work through the morning hours;
Work while the dew is sparkling,
Work ímid springing flowers;

Work, for the night is coming,
Work through the sunny noon;
Fill brightest hours with labor,
Rest comes sure and soon.
Give every flying minute,

Work, for the night is coming,

3
Work, for the night is coming,

"The gospel is to be presented, not as a lifeless theory, but as a living force to change the life. He would have us bear testimony to the fact that He cannot be satisfied until the human race are reclaimed and reinstated in their holy privileges as His sons and daughters."

This is what the world needs to know. When souls see what the love of Jesus looks like in the lives of His followers there will be many that will turn from their wayward, sinful life and accept Jesus as their Lord and Master.

We are the church. This is describing a condition that is shocking. May we not skip over the parts that step on our toes.  If God has our whole heart we will not be hanging on to what pleases us but what pleases Him.

Amen dear sister!!  And if we have His love in our hearts, then He will use us to heal the sick.

Amen Brother Beacon!!  If we will truly repent, then God will use us to bless others.

Have a blessed Sabbath our dear friends!
