And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

"The Majesty of heaven consented to suffer as the Sin Bearer. "Father, glorify Thy name," He said. As Christ spoke these words, a response came from the cloud which hovered above His head: "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again."

"Christ's whole life, from the manger to the time when these words were spoken, had glorified God; and in the coming trial His divine-human sufferings would indeed glorify His Father's name."

 "As the voice was heard, a light darted from the cloud, and encircled Christ, as if the arms of Infinite Power were thrown about Him like a wall of fire." "The people beheld this scene with terror and amazement. No one dared to speak. With silent lips and bated breath all stood with eyes fixed upon Jesus. The testimony of the Father having been given, the cloud lifted, and scattered in the heavens. For the time the visible communion between the Father and the Son was ended."

It was by Faith that Jesus was able to accomplish His Mission & the same will be true for each on of us!!

(N). Deuteronomy 30:6

And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
6
No matter how dark the trials of this life—and yes; the trial Jesus endured at Calvary was dark—the “light at the end of tunnel” is directly connected to the joy of seeing souls redeemed as we endure whatever God allows us to pass through for His will to be done!

Do we see the cross in its full glory? Do we discern the glory and joy possible to us in bearing our cross with Christ as we experience crucifixion of self for His mission of saving souls? Oh, let’s not miss the TRUE GLORY of life—living in constant contemplation of the glorious victory Jesus has wrought for us and extending that victory to each new soul that is brought to behold the eternally good news!! Jesus is fully God and fully Man, and He fully defeated Satan!! Jesus knows we are human, but He offers us the SAME DIVINE NATURE that He lived by—by faith in the word!!! “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:4).

“‘Now is the judgment of this world,’ Christ continued; ‘now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all unto Me. This He said, signifying what death He should die.’ This is the crisis of the world. If I become the propitiation for the sins of men, the world will be lighted up. Satan’s hold upon the souls of men will be broken. The defaced image of God will be restored in humanity, and a family of believing saints will finally inherit the heavenly home. This is the result of Christ’s death. The Saviour is lost in contemplation of the scene of triumph called up before Him. He sees the cross, the cruel, ignominious cross, with all its attending horrors, blazing with glory.” {The Desire of Ages, page 625, paragraph 4}

When Satan loses his hold on you—when sin truly appears hateful as it is for its very baseness and you gladly obey God out of love, life takes on an entirely new aspect. Freedom in obedience in which our life experience reveals all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing is truly living the heavenly life while still on earth. We are converted for God’s glory and His purposes, and we find our highest joy in Him. So we may live, through abiding in Christ, on “earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). May this be the constant experience of each of us, I pray.

The Desire of Ages / Re: The Desire of Ages--66--Controversy

Amen my dear friends!  God loves us so very much. When we see that love, we will love Him supremely. And if we do, then we will love our brethren. If we break one of the commandments, then we do not abide in Christ and cannot therefore keep any of them. If we are not filled with the Holy Spirit, then we can do no good thing.

   The lawyer approached Jesus with a direct question, "Which is the first commandment of all?" The answer of Christ is direct and forcible: "The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment." The second is like the first, said Christ; for it flows out of it, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." "On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
     The first four of the Ten Commandments are summed up in the one great precept, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart." The last six are included in the other, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." Both these commandments are an expression of the principle of love. The first cannot be kept and the second broken, nor can the second be kept while the first is broken. When God has His rightful place on the throne of the heart, the right place will be given to our neighbor. We shall love him as ourselves. And only as we love God supremely is it possible to love our neighbor impartially.
     And since all the commandments are summed up in love to God and man, it follows that not one precept can be broken without violating this principle. Thus Christ taught His hearers that the law of God is not so many separate precepts, some of which are of great importance, while others are of small importance and may with impunity be ignored. Our Lord presents the first four and the last six commandments as a divine whole, and teaches that love to God will be shown by obedience to all His commandments.

Amen my dear brothers!  God wants the heart, all of it. And when we give it to Him, the Holy Spirit promised will take possession of the heart.

But Israel as a nation had divorced herself from God. The natural branches of the olive tree were broken off. Looking for the last time upon the interior of the temple, Jesus said with mournful pathos, “Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see Me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord.” Hitherto He had called the temple His Father’s house; but now, as the Son of God should pass out from those walls, God’s presence would be withdrawn forever from the temple built to His glory. Henceforth its ceremonies would be meaningless, its services a mockery. { DA 620.4}

As we watch Israel today, we see the curse they called upon themselves when they said "His blood be on us and our children." Matt. 27:25. The good news is that if a Jew will learn of Jesus, he will be grafted back into the natural tree. "And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?"  Rom. 11:23,24.

Hello Bro Jim. I agree with you on the 5 min run may be long for some persons. I am not a runner, its monotous movement for me and my ADD brain  ;D

Can you share the name of the app.

In all honesty I almost despise running (old man jog) but I like the feeling when I'm done, like I've accomplished something. Almost like mowing the yard and looking at when its done :)  But the fact that I really dislike it shows in the fact that I've never taken the app to the end but then again I'm not looking to run 3 miles all at once. I'm just looking for the health benefits of hit.

Here is the one app called C25K (couch to 5k)  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.c25k&hl=en_US&pli=1

It talks to you, telling when you to walk and when to run and far along in the exercise you are. With an upbeat encouraging voice  ;D
I usually find a podcast that is about 30 minutes long to listen to while I'm doing this. Or on audioverse they the old radio programs of HMS Richards and those are 28 minutes long. So about the time I hear the Kings Heralds singing I know my exercise is almost over. :)

I have another app that lets you customize your own routine. You can find that one here...  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.runloop.seconds&utm_source=na_Med

This one because its so customizable it has a little learning curve. Looks like its now $6.99. I think when I bought it, it was about half of that but I don't mind paying a couple of dollars for a good app.

In the estimation of heaven, greatness of character consists in living for the welfare of our fellow men, in doing works of love and mercy. Christ the King of glory was a servant to fallen man. { DA 613.4}

How different the world measures people's worth than how God measures us.

1 Samuel 16:7 "But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart."
