Jim - what is the advantage of TOR as a proxy over others? I see a lot of people consistently use TOR.

Tor isn't perfect. However, when one uses tor your ip address changes. Normal proxies will always give the same ip address. The biggest advantage of tor is that there isn't anyway (very easily anyway) for people to tell what website you're visiting or where you're going. Another advantage is that it's almost impossible to trace backwards. Keep in that it does slow down your surfing speed. It's probably not practical for those on dial up.
