They speak from both sides of their mouths, with forked tongue.  One the one hand they call it "climate change," to hide the fact that it is colder in some places, rather than warmer; and on the other hand, they claim that the earth is really (really, really, come one, please believe us) warming.  They can't have it both ways.  And all this hysteria over an alleged 1° C increase in a century.  And I'm supposed to panic?

Every day I hear references to "climate crisis" on the news reports.  Whether or not Goebbels said it or not is irrelevant, but "If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it."  And that's what the global warming alarmists are hoping.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry, the man who negotiated and signed the landmark Paris climate accord on behalf of the United States, is working on a new initiative that will seek to punish President Donald Trump and other politicians for failing to combat climate change.

He lambasted the president’s pledge to pull the U.S. out of the Paris deal and called the administration’s moves to undo Obama-era pollution-cutting regulations “criminal, basically.”

Kerry said he was working with former Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz and others to develop a new international initiative to hold politicians accountable for undermining the fight against climate change.

Ocasio–Cortez Blames Immigration Crisis on Climate Change

 Climate change is to blame for the massive flood of immigrants seeking asylum in the U.S. and overwhelming the immigration system, according to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio–Cortez, D-NY.

The socialist-loving sponsor of the Green New Deal took to Twitter on Tuesday, piling onto the Left’s favorite weather-related scapegoat, which has been blamed for everything from hurricanes to droughts, melting ice caps to record snowfalls.

The House Oversight Committee held a hearing on climate change and national security on Tuesday, during which Ocasio–Cortez claimed Congress would have “blood on our hands” if climate legislation, like the Green New Deal, isn’t passed.

Increasingly, leftists have attempted to incorporate climate fears into other items on their agenda, such as racial inequality and injustice.

Rhetoric linking it with illegal immigration has dated back to at least last October, when massive caravans organized by radical open-borders groups like Pueblo Sin Fronteras first started marching toward the border.

Former Vice President Al Gore previously made the claim that climate was to blame last December.

NYC to Ban Glass and Steel Skyscrapers to Fight Global Warming

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has embraced Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s, D-N.Y., Green New Deal and said the city will ban “inefficient” steel and glass skyscrapers as a result.

“We are making the Green New Deal come alive here in New York City,” he told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “It’s three very basic ideas. One, the biggest source of emissions in New York City is buildings.”

The city will introduce “strong mandates” for buildings to “guarantee we reduce emissions,” de Blasio said.

The buildings that don’t comply by 2030 will face fines “as high as $1 million or more.”

He's following the pope's agenda.  One wonders if "saving the planet" from climate change will play into the passage of the Sunday law.  Since it will be a series of natural disasters that cause the demand for Sunday legislation, the secular world won't have a problem getting on board because they'll be blaming it on "climate crises (formerly "climate change," formerly "global warming).  Reducing carbon emissions one day a week won't faze them a bit.  Or, things could be so bad (almost seems that way from reading Great Controversy) that "climate change" may get lost sight of.

Democratic Candidates Seek to Weaponize SEC Over Climate Change

The 2020 presidential primary campaign has most of the Democrat candidates competing for who can impose the most requirements upon corporations to disclose the threats their assets, operations and profits face from climate change (formerly known as “global warming”).

Except the risks – at least with specificity – aren’t defined.

What is a “threat” from climate change? An extensive list of societal ills have been blamed on global warming, so many that it can be argued that everythingbad is caused by it. Of course, that’s the brilliant intention of the alarmists – create an all-encompassing source of destruction that cannot be averted without their prescriptions for massive government intervention, wealth redistribution, and the affliction of anyone who is comfortable.

While all corporations are in the environmental left’s crosshairs, the major targets are the fossil fuel companies. If they can get CEOs and executive boards to cave to their demands to “disclose” the “risks” posed by unwieldy and uncontrollable “climate change,” then they’ve got them in the palms of their hands.

Think about it – so much is said to be caused by changing temperatures (rising sea levels, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, droughts, blizzards, polar vortexes, etc. – and those are just some of the meteorological ones) that no human effort could hope to disclose allof the potential threats. So if a corporation goes down the road of “disclosure,” they are bound to miss several that they omitted (in the eyes of the Greens), and open themselves to negligence lawsuits by left-wing activist shareholders and anyone else a favorable judge determines has “standing” to sue.

Florida’s Leading Media Conspire to Push Climate Agenda in New Partnership

Several Florida newsrooms long notorious for their political bias will cast off the vestiges of objectivity in order to partner up on pushing a climate-change agenda.

Six of the Sunshine State’s leading news organizations announced the formation of a coalition to share stories and work together to report on the complex challenges of climate change.

However, the move is likely to be eyed with suspicion in a scientific field so desperate to assert its legitimacy that it has actively dispatched dark money and lobbyists to infiltrate fields from local news meteorologists to state-level attorney general offices.

Meanwhile, news organizations—notably including NBC News on its flagship “Meet the Press” hosted by Chuck Todd have actively sought to blacklist any perspectives that question the climate change dogma form so much as appearing on their programming.

And with the proposed $93 trillion Green New Deal as the centerpiece of the newly radicalized Left’s socialist agenda, the newspapers’ bid to promote the torqued up crisis in a contentious battleground state in the year prior to a pivotal election raises even further questions about the underlying motives.

CNN Caught Lying About Climate Change (Again)

What is the biggest lie on the left? These days, it’s hard to say. No crisis at the border? The world will end in 12 years? Virtually everything in their platform is so distant from the truth that it feels like another language.

A few years ago, the biggest lies on the left were that Barack Obama was a good president and that climate change was the most important issue facing humanity. Both lies still persist, but they seem to get overshadowed by the socialist agenda and virtually anything the new, young squad of Democrats say.

Well, CNN has had enough of us voters ignoring their agenda. They want to push the climate change agenda, and they’ll go to any lengths to do so. It’s why they were recently caught in an embarrassing lie.

They thought they were being crafty. All they did was post a picture and call it an example of climate change. Apparently, even something that simple is beyond CNN’s capacity to fact check. Now, they have to deal with the fallout. Perhaps a more complete telling is in order.

CNN really outdid themselves. The official Twitter account for the network published a photo of sled dogs. In the photo, the dogs can be seen trudging through standing water. According to CNN, this water is atop the Greenland ice shelf.

They tweeted the picture to show how far global warming has come and push the fear-mongering idea that the world really will end in 12 years.

Things turned embarrassing pretty quickly. You have probably never heard of Peter Heide Jorgensen. He’s a professor at the Greenland Natural Resources Institute. He’s not a climate change skeptic. He’s not a conservative or on the right. He’s just a researcher who noticed a stupid tweet and spoke up about it.

Before we get to that, we have to give credit where it is due. Jorgensen had no political motivation to voice his concerns. He did so entirely out of scientific integrity. He could have joined tons of climate scientists who are either complicit or active in the pushing of hyperbolic climate extremism. He did not. He saw something untrue and corrected solely for the sake of honesty and integrity.

So, what did he notice about CNN’s photo? Well, according to Jorgensen, ice melts during the summer are actually pretty common in Greenland. In fact, it’s been the norm since long before human-created CO2 became a concern. That’s pretty clear when you look at CNN’s photo next to another from 1984.

As you can see, ice has been melting in the region for more than 30 years. This is certainly not a sign of the impending climate apocalypse.

Meanwhile, actual science makes things even worse for the CNN narrative. You’ve probably heard about glacial ice in Greenland before. Climate scientists have been concerned about its rate of melt for 10 years or so.

Well, over the last year, something has happened that shocked researchers. The total ice in Greenland has grown. In fact, it has grown rapidly. NASA data suggests that the shrinking trend has completely reversed since 2016.

Al Gore told us that the glaciers would be gone around a decade ago. Revised climate science told us that melting was here to stay and that the days of arctic ice were numbered. While they were saying that, Antarctic ice grew steadily. Now northern ice is doing the same.

Naturally-Occurring Methane Shows Cow Farts Not to Blame for Global Warming

Scientists have discovered massive amounts of methane located deep below the Earth’s surface—calling into question why policymakers are focusing on decreasing emissions of this gas when so much of it is naturally occurring.

According to an article from Newsweek, the methane is released through deep-sea vents. In 2016, scientists discovered over 500 vents spewing methane off the west coast of the United States.

Researchers from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) then took samples from hydrothermal sites across the planet, including the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, the East Pacific Ridge, the Mid-Cayman Rise and the Guaymas Basin.

WHOI found almost all of them contained pockets of methane—and now they say the vents could be the largest source of abiotic (not formed with organic matter) methane in the world.

How large? The team said that the methane locked inside rocks might amount for more methane than was in the Earth’s atmosphere before the Industrial Revolution.

Even Michael Moore Thinks Renewable Energy is a Fraud
[Excerpts]

Even ultra-liberal filmmaker Michael Moore seems to have learned that renewable energy is a fraud and a boondoggle.

His new documentary, “Planet of the Humans” questions its use.

According to The Washington Post, the documentary examines what the filmmakers say are some of the myths that have been perpetuated by the environmental movement.
Directed by Jeff Gibbs, it explores electric cars, solar panels and environmentalist advocacy groups like the Sierra Club.

“It was kind of crushing to discover that the things I believed in weren’t real, first of all, and then to discover not only are the solar panels and wind turbines not going to save us … but that there is this whole dark side of the corporate money,” he said. “… t dawned on me that these technologies were just another profit center.”

This inconvenient truth is part of why Moore and Gibbs had to make the film independently. Environmental groups refused to come aboard, despite being approached for years, contributing to cynicism on Moore’s part.

Said the filmmaker: “We all want to feel good about something like the electric car, but in the back of your head somewhere you’ve thought, ‘Yeah but where is the electricity coming from?’ And it’s like, ‘I don’t want to think about that, I’m glad we have electric cars.’”

Glacier National Park Quietly Removes Its ‘Gone by 2020’ Signs

Officials at Glacier National Park (GNP) have begun quietly removing and altering signs and government literature which told visitors that the Park’s glaciers were all expected to disappear by either 2020 or 2030.

In recent years the National Park Service prominently featured brochures, signs and films which boldly proclaimed that all glaciers at GNP were melting away rapidly. But now officials at GNP seem to be scrambling to hide or replace their previous hysterical claims while avoiding any notice to the public that the claims were inaccurate. Teams from Lysander Spooner University visiting the Park each September have noted that GNP’s most famous glaciers such as the Grinnell Glacier and the Jackson Glacier appear to have been growing—not shrinking—since about 2010. (The Jackson Glacier—easily seen from the Going-To-The-Sun Highway—may have grown as much as 25% or more over the past decade.)

A common trick used by the National Park Service at GNP is to display old black-and-white photos of glaciers from bygone years (say, “1922”) next to photos of the same glaciers taken in more recent years showing the glaciers much diminished (say, “2006”). Anyone familiar with glaciers in the northern Rockies knows that glaciers tend to grow for nine months each winter and melt for three months each summer. Thus, such photo displays without precise calendar dates may be highly deceptive.
