No, the king of the North is not Turkey, nor is it the Muslims.

Yes, Uriah went that route, but neither James White, nor Ellen White taught it, in fact James White was very opposed to that view, and wrote against it.

No, but the Muslims could be the hand of the Papacy.

I agree with the propaganda issue. Things today are sensationalized beyond proportion. I don't bring the article to attention because of the sensational nature of it, but rather to show another small piece of the puzzle in the last days.

The papacy as you well know has it's hands in many areas and it is not visible to the world.

Behind the scenes, plans are being made and movements are being put into play that will shape the future so the papacy will be able to step into the role, with the U.S. gov't to "save" the world from the terrors and evils that are occuring.

This can be seen by the movements around the world involving the Muslim religion. They are simply pawns in a greater picture.

The situation in the Netherlands is very serious. Any time a person intimidates another with a death threat we need to examine what is happening. When it is a common occurance and based on one's religion it is something that must be dealt with. <P>For a religion to mark for death one who speaks against their beliefs is a matter that demands government action. This has been allowed for a long time and has not been addressed for many reasons. A free nation allows much, but there is a limit and this exceeds that limit. The ones who must speak up loudest in condemning such matters are those in the religion.

But the only ones who seem to have "access" to public media, are the "fanaticals".  The voices of the masses of Muslims is not heard, and their message tends to be "shunted" onto a back burner as not the true voice of "muslims".

In many ways Wendy is right,
the muslims are being USED to bring in the last day time of trouble such as never was, but it's not the muslim peoples themselves, they are just the first victims,  it's a well organized group operating within their ranks.

More on the story in the Netherlands

quote:
Since van Gogh was shot and stabbed as he cycled to work, a wave of arson attacks has targeted at least eight mosques.

A Muslim school in Eindhoven was also badly damaged in a small bomb blast on Monday that police said they suspected was in retaliation for the murder.

A little-known Islamist group threatened to strike the Netherlands on Tuesday after the attacks on Muslim buildings.

The country had already been the subject of several threats by Islamic extremists due to the presence of 1,300 Dutch troops in Iraq.

"Stop the attacks on our mosques, schools and the Muslim community in Holland...before you pay a heavy price," said the statement attributed to the Islamic Tawhid Brigades, which claimed responsibility for bombings last month in Egypt.

About 60 young Dutch Muslims wearing orange shirts with the slogan, "We won't put up with extremism any more," cycled through Amsterdam stopping at mosques to protest against van Gogh's murder.

They then joined a Dutch-Moroccan rally of several hundred in a park near the street where Van Gogh was killed.

"It is action, reaction. Extremism is not only Islamist but also the right wing," said Mustapha Laboui, a 39-year-old Dutch-Moroccan. "It's not good to divide people into foreigners or Dutch. We have to solve these problems together."

It is a great opportunity for true Christians to show Christian principles.

Here is a different perspective from Pakistan.

"A decade or more ago, Karl Largerfeld courted controversy by decorating a Chanel bodice with verses of the Quran. People of all faiths denounced the move as taking something holy and sacred and exploiting it for maximum coverage. For rather than pushing forward the boundaries of art, it crossed a red line. If anything done in the name of art can be regarded as sacrosanct, then art itself must recognise that some things remain out of its realm, for they are sacred and not to be touched."   Daily Times

Two limousines pulled up yesterday outside the United Artists theater in Brooklyn Heights. There was no red carpet, not even a poster announcing the film that opened there and at 92 other theaters around the country.

But for thousands of Muslims who flocked to those theaters, the American premiere of the animated feature "Muhammad: The Last Prophet," was unquestionably a landmark cultural event.

The 90-minute movie, which recounts the story of the birth of Islam, began as the dream of a Saudi real estate investor, Muwaffak Alharithy, who said he felt that his children and other Muslim youth had been shortchanged by religious film offerings of Hollywood and decided to remedy the situation
himself.

In 1999, Mr. Alharithy hired a veteran director of Hollywood animated films, Richard Rich, whose movies include "The King and I" and "The Fox and the Hound." Mr. Alharithy said he ultimately spent $12 million to produce the feature, only to find American distributors hesitant in the aftermath of 9/11.

"What we found out in making the film is how little anybody knows about that religion and Muhammad," Mr. Rich said in an interview. "Here we thought that this film would at least open doors for that to happen, and then 9/11 seemed to close those doors for a while."

Both local and national Muslim leaders said they hoped non-Muslims would see the film. Debbie Almontaser, a Brooklyn activist who teaches cultural tolerance in New York City schools and for the organization Women in Islam, said the fact that so many American theaters opened their doors was a good sign.

Dr. James Zogby, president of the Arab American Institute in Washington, said, "Islam is a part of America right now and America is increasingly becoming a part of the Arab and Muslim world."

He added: "This is what globalization is about. It's not a one-way sell. It's a two-way sell." (Elliott, "New York Times,"  November 15, 2004).

[It's interesting to note that Muslim leaders realize they have to
"sell" Islam].

Saying "Islam is a part of America" is an interesting thought. Here we see a movement that is not from above and how far it has progressed in the United States. Tolerance does indeed allow for the freedom to choose God or to not choose Him, but the United States was a "Protestant" nation. There is no provision in the Constitution to enslave the people in the name of Roman Catholicism or Islam. Other nations suffer from such things, but America has not done so.

Sadly she is no longer Protestant since most Protestants don't know what it means. Islam is not part of America and will not be. America has chosen to go in another direction. The President has exalted the pope and Evangelical America has reached over the abyss to clasp hands with Roman Catholicism. It does not yet appear that America will oppress the religious beliefs of God's people, but soon it will be made apparent that Rome has not changed, but rather "Protestantism" has.

Time and age don't change some things.

For Franklin Graham, that includes his opposition to gay marriage and the religion of Islam.

The former is contrary to God's law, he said. And though many gay and lesbian couples believe their love is genuine, Franklin told the [Los Angeles] Times, "there were people who for centuries swore up and down the Earth was flat too.

"God says [homosexuality is] a sin," he continued. "Yet God loves sinners." And God, he stressed, is willing to forgive.

As to Islam, right after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, Franklin was quoted on "NBC Nightly News" as saying it was "an evil and wicked religion."

And he still feels that way.

"I haven't changed my mind," he told the paper. "When people's heads get chopped off and throats are cut and innocent people are murdered and slaughtered, my mind hasn't changed" (www.newsmax.com, November 29, 2004).

Iraqi Christians warned: convert to Islam or leave

The Church of England Newspaper (UK), Dec. 3, 2004
http://www.churchnewspaper.com

Religious leaders are hoping that their call for mutual respect between Muslims and Christians will increase tolerance as tension between the faithful, especially in Iraq, is undergoing “considerable escalation.”

The recent targeting of churches in Iraq by pamphleteers commanding them to convert to Islam or leave was cited as one of many examples of how the religious intolerance in Iraq is “getting worse,” according to Canon Andrew White of the Iraqi Centre for Dialogue, Reconciliation and Peace.

Individual Christians and churches in Mosul and Baghdad were picked out by followers of an Iraqi militant group during a mass leaflet distribution effort two weeks ago, according to Canon White.

“The leaflets stated that Christians must convert to Islam, leave Iraq, or face the consequences,” he said this week, speaking from Jerusalem.

The plea for interfaith unity, made last weekend during a conference in Tripoli, comes at a time when around 10 per cent of Iraq's estimated 800,000 Christians have already fled the country, according to the Washington Times.

In a recent report on an Iraqi congregation the Rev Saad Hanna, a priest at Mary Jacob Church in the Dora section of Baghdad, told the Washington Times the departure of “terrified” Christians has drained the church of two-thirds of their parishioners.

“The cries from Christians in Iraq are increasingly desperate,” Canon White said, adding that security guards outside St George’s Anglican church in Baghdad were recently forced to open fire on a group of suspected attackers, causing the suspects to flee.

Speaking at the Tripoli conference senior Muslim cleric Lhabib Belkhoja said Muslims should work to confront challenges to prove Islam is a religion of love and tolerance, according to Ekklesia news service. Papal representative Mgr Berluggi said respect was at the core of dialogue between different religions.

If Islam is the Black man¹s true identity, why do African Americans who
convert to Islam have to pray in Arabic to "Allah" (Arabic name for God),
recite the Quran in Arabic and repeat many Arabic religious terms and
phrases? If they change their name, why is it always an Arabic name?" Why
Arabic and not Swahili, Hausa, Sango, Zulu or any of the other ethnic
African languages? African Americans who convert to Islam are encouraged to
wear the long flowing Arabic style of dress natural to living in a desert
climate rather than one of the African styles of dress developed for living
in the tropics or the savanna. Many women are told they must wear the Arabic
"hijab." It seems that being a Muslim means being Arabic, not African! How
can becoming an Arab be "as natural as breathing" for an African?

[Considering the ongoing displacement and slaughter of Black Muslims in the Darfar region of the Sudan, any claims to Islam as the solution to the wars of the world are demonstrably false.]

Osama has called for Muslims to destroy the oil facilities in their countries. He says Americans are stealing their oil. He said that oil prices should be at $100 a barrel. This will hurt the Americans he stated.

There is a battle for truth. God has revealed Himself to man and we need to recognize how He has done this. There are many who come in the name of God, but are not sent. In fact they can be the ones who will kill God's servants on this earth.

The Son of God was killed by religious people. Through the dark ages God's children were killed by religious people. "Religious" people have even offered their children as burnt offerings.

We ought to expect the same today. There are many who say they love and serve God, but do not do so. They do and will kill in the name of God, but one day they will see what they have done.

Here is an interesting truth that few are willing to discuss. I would encourage each of us no matter what our faith, to consider what is being practiced in the name of God.

"The Prince of Wales is brokering efforts to end the Muslim death penalty on converts to other faiths...He held a private summit of Christian and Muslim leaders at Clarence House this month to explore the centuries-old Islamic law under which apostates face persecution and even death."

Interesting that the world allows people to kill those who change their religion. Imagine doing so in the name of God.

He received a special tribute from senior Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, who is often referred to as a possible successor to John Paul II.

article

Do a Google search on Joseph Ratzinger, he is a particularly frightening successor to the Pope. He is likened to the persecutors of the Dark Ages.

The Telegraph is reporting that Iraq's Christian community, targeted by Islamic extremists, has been disappearing rapidly over the past year. Islamic extremists have reportedly targeted churches, kidnapped priests, and attacked Christian neighborhoods with random shootings.

Iraqi church leaders have said about 300,000 have fled the country. Bishop Putres Harbori, head of the Christian community in Dohuk, near the Turkish border, where 350 families have found sanctuary said "It's genocide. You can see it with your own eyes."   Big News

MOSUL/VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - The Iraqi Catholic archbishop of Mosul was kidnapped at gunpoint on Monday and the Vatican demanded his quick release and deplored what it branded an act of terrorism.

Archbishop Basile Georges Casmoussa, 66, was believed to be the highest-ranking Catholic prelate to be abducted in Iraq, where churches have been the target of a bombing campaign that has rattled the tiny Christian minority.

"We have received news of the kidnapping of the ... Archbishop of Mosul, Basile Georges Casmoussa," Chief Vatican spokesman Joaquin Navarro-Valls told Reuters.

"The Holy See deplores this act of terrorism in the firmest manner and demands that the worthy pastor is swiftly freed unharmed to continue to carry out his ministry."

London cleric, Omar Bakri Mohammed, is using live broadcasts on the internet to urge young British Muslims to join al-Qaeda and has condoned suicide terrorist attacks. He has lived in the UK for 18 years on social security benefits, pledged allegiance to Osama bin Laden and told his followers that they were in a state of war with Britain.

Somalia is over 99% Muslim. A recent wave of violence began early last October, when two armed men killed an elderly Italian nun who had been doing humanitarian work in Somalia for 30 years. Later that month, expatriates Richard and Enid Eyeington, were shot dead by several gunmen in their home inside a school compound. A Kenyan national working for a Seventh Day Adventist mission southwest Somalia, was murdered last month by Islamist radicals.
