Eating for Lust
« on: March 05, 2001, 07:13:00 PM »
Is there a relationship between eating and religion?  What if Jesus wanted our children to grow up and not die young? Would He instruct us to eat for strength and not for lust? Yes, and He did.

We have a new report out today that reveals many young people in America are now DYING from clogged heart vessels. We saw this evidence of atherosclerosis during the Vietnam War when autopsies were done on young Americans. Now, the death rate is soaring.

Anti-oxidants are popular today in preventing much disease including atherosclerosis.  When deciding to eat more foods that contain anti-oxidants it might be good to realize that it is also necessary to look at what is causing an over abundance of "free radicals" to be in the blood stream to injure the blood vessels.

"The latest study by Centers for Disease Control reported today that the rate of young people dying from cardiac arrest has soared in the last 10 years. The CDC says there are 3,000 of these deaths annually among Americans age 15 to 34, a 10 percent increase during the past decade."

Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

That's a very sobering report and another  very good reason to live the life God has asked us to.
