7.2-magnitude earthquake hits near Guam and Mariana Islands; Tsunami warning not expected

Friday, a massive 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck near Guam and the Mariana Islands. The earthquake was centered 230 miles WSW of Guam, 275 miles WSW of Rota, Northern Mariana Islands, 300 miles NE of Yap, Micronesia, and 340 miles WSW of SAIPAN, Northern Mariana Islands.
The earthquake hit at 07:19 am local time, Saturday morning, and had a depth of approximately 2.9 miles, according to USGS.
No widespread Tsunami is expected.
