11 Thought's on Noah's Ark
« on: October 24, 2003, 09:29:00 AM »
Subject: Woodpecker

The woodpecker might have to go!

(Picture of Woodpecker making holes in the ark and Noah going after him with a net).

Everything I need to know about life, I learned from Noah's Ark...

One: Don't miss the boat.

Two: Remember that we are all in the same boat.

Three: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.

Four: Stay fit. Even when you're old someone may ask you to do something really big.

Five: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.

Six: Build your future on high ground.

Seven: For safety  sake, travel in pairs.

Eight: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.

Nine: When you're stressed, float a while.

Ten: Remember, the Ark was built by
amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.

Eleven: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting and a way through the storm! Smile

11 Thought's on Noah's Ark

Hi Sister Glass:

I like 10, but #10 I question.

Ten: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.

The reason that Noah's ark did not sink was because it had a master designer, God himself. For all we know Noah and his sons could have been master carpenters. Just some thoughts.

Also another point of Naoh and the Ark is the animals themselves. It was the first lesson we read about unclean and clean animals.

Genesis:

7:2   Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

The clean and not clean foods animals was already understood by the people before Moses was to write the laws given by God of food to be eaten.

In Leviticus we are told this:

10:10   And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean.

Like the Sabbath God in the beginning made clear those things that would last for mankind to the end of time.

How great our God is in the lessons that He teaches us of His character and knowledge for our health and life.

Yes, I do agree. I too thought about #10. But the lesson can go both ways for we don't know how well Noah's son's knew how to build.

When we think of God as the Master builder, that makes us all professional at what we do when He is leading as He lead Noah with such detailed information.  :)

But the thought in #10 is also very important to see, and that is that we don't have to be professionals to do God's will because He is the professional for us. I really like that way of looking at it, it is comforting and leads people to depend on the Lord and not themselves.
