Charlie Kirk and the Seventh Day Sabbath
« on: September 16, 2025, 10:31:08 AM »
Charlie loved the truth.  He, like many, are not yet there, but he was on his way. He walked into the lion's den knowing the risk. He talked about keeping the commandments. He was on his way. It was not the intent of the killer to kill him because he kept the seventh day Sabbath. He killed him because Charlie spoke truth. It was Satan who had  been working on the killer. Why was Satan intent in silencing Charlie? Because Charlie loved God and was teaching truth in many ways, most profoundly, the seventh day Sabbath. Charlie's teaching on the Sabbath is not going away.

There is a fire on which much fuel has been poured. It took a young man to start this fire, and another young man to pour fuel on it. Satan meant to pour water on the fire, to kill the message, but God used sin to exalt the Sabbath Day. As Charlie's wife spoke shortly after the death of her husband, we ought to understand what she does not. She said that they, the ones behind his death, do not know what they have done. "They have no idea what they just ignited within this wife. If they thought my husband's mission was big now … you have no idea."  She was right. The fire is roaring and it will not stop until Jesus comes. The Sabbath controversy will be fought around the whole world.

Charlie's wife was vitally connected to Charley and Jesus. She faces a great battle she knows not. The vice president of America is their friend. He too loves the truth. But, he is not as far along as was Charlie and Erika. The release of Charlie's book Stop in the Name of God, Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life, has brought to the front the seventh day Sabbath. Before the release of his book, it is already a "best seller." "Now we seem to be unnoticed, but this will not always be. Movements are at work to bring us to the front." Yes, we will be brought to the front because the Sabbath has now been brought to the front. The seventh day Sabbath has been proclaimed more fully with the death of Charlie Kirk. Charlie and Erika did not understand how important is the book soon to be released. While much is not revealed in the book, it does enough to cause great injury to those who want a Sunday law. The vice president of the United States has a decision to make. Will he agree with Charlie and the Bible, or will he support his Roman Church that is pushing for a national sun day law? And it is not JD Vance only who has a decision to make. The president of the United States whose daughter keeps the seventh day Sabbath has the same decision to make. A fire has been lit and will not go out until we see Jesus coming in the clouds of glory!

At the commencement of the time of trouble, we were filled with the Holy Ghost as we went forth and proclaimed the Sabbath more fully.

“The commencement of that time of trouble,” here mentioned, does not refer to the time when the plagues shall begin to be poured out, but to a short period just before they are poured out, while Christ is in the sanctuary. At that time, while the work of salvation is closing, trouble will be coming on the earth, and the nations will be angry, yet held in check so as not to prevent the work of the third angel. At that time the “latter rain,” or refreshing from the presence of the Lord, will come, to give power to the loud voice of the third angel, and prepare the saints to stand in the period when the seven last plagues shall be poured out.

[The angel of Revelation 14] presents a message that is to be proclaimed to the world just before Christ comes in the clouds of heaven.... Just prior to this time, then, the attention of the people is to be called to the down-trodden law of God, which is contained in the ark of the testament....

They see that instead of observing the seventh day, the day that God sanctified, and commanded to be observed as the Sabbath, they are keeping the first day of the week. But they honestly desire to do God’s will, and they begin to search the Scriptures to find the reason for the change. Failing to find any scriptural authority for the custom, the question arises, Shall we accept a truth that has become unpopular, and obey the commandments of God, or shall we continue with the world, and obey the commandments of men? With open Bibles they weep, and pray, and compare scripture with scripture, until, convinced of the truth, they conscientiously take their stand as keepers of the commandments of God.  Mar 170.

Soon persecution will come upon those who refuse to give up the Sabbath. Charlie is an example of what is coming upon the faithful. His people will see revival and reformation. There is a solution for our Laodicean condition, it is given in the Laodicean message. I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent." Rev. 3:18, 19. Many will indeed follow the counsel and will repent. But, many who  were to "watchmen" on the wall are not. They will jump ship when persecution comes. There will be a purification of the ministry in His Church. Some of these have thought it wise to remove "Seventh-day" from their churches and their business cards. They are not Seventh-day Adventists, but are just plain Adventists. It was a joy to hear Elder Ted Wilson explain that we are to use the whole name, not part of it. Why? Because the name is a rebuke to those who are not  keeping the Lord's Day.

Thank you, Charlie and Erika for proclaiming the seventh day Sabbath more fully!! God will continue to bless all who love the Lord  our God and the day He blessed. "And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made." Gen. 2:2,3.

Why take time to understand the character of Charlie Kirk? Because the world is being pointed to Charlie Kirk, and he taught that we are to keep the ten commandments even though he is not a Seventh-day Adventist. And, he kept the fourth commandment.  And he rightly understood that grace is more than a word.

If you don't have time to view whole sermon, start at 12:00 minutes.

Do you know who Charlie Kirk was?   He was a Christian in the true sense of the word.

Why was Charlie involved in politics? He loved the truth and he appreciated the freedom he had because he was born in the United States of America. He sees what has happened to his country and has tried to help youth at universities understand the blessings God has in store for them. Is there some kind of problem at American schools? Most of the schools of "higher education" have been leading their students away from God. Religious schools have not escaped this fall. Charlie did not ignore what we all see, there is a movement to burn our cities down and to turn boys into girls. No matter how much we want to stay away from politics, we ought to understand in a free society there comes responsibility. God allowed Islam to burn the Trade Towers down. Even so, do we throw away our involvement in government?  It is true that we need to understand that the government will not change hearts, that is the domain of religion.  We all have a responsibility to vote for those who advance moral truth.

Take time to understand who he was and that he pointed all to Jesus Christ.

Many who object to the teaching of Charlie Kirk generally oppose his boldness and what he teaches. If Charlie teaches something that steps on their toes, many hate him. Charlie tries to help those who question his beliefs, but he does not sacrifice the truth. Here is an example of how hard he tries to help an erring man. Did Charlie know that was coming if had not died? How did religious teachers feel about him accepting the seventh day Sabbath?   Many have stated that no one who was conservative would kill Charlie.  Is that true? What does the Bible say about those who refuse to support the Catholic sun day?  If Satan is working to blind Christians to the truth, is he not working through perverted believers? Who think Satan has nothing to do with the murder of Charlie?

I don't expect all Seventh-day Adventists to take time to study this truth. But, there are some who have spiritual discernment that reaches beyond what we all know to be true. Any Seventh-day Adventist can see that Babylon has been given a great boost with the death of Charlie. Professing Christians and Catholics are on fire to force by law Christian doctrine, which includes doctrine that is not truth. All want their beliefs to be followed. But, God does not want forced obedience. Yes, we can have moral laws that dictate how we act towards each others.  But when it comes to worship, there is to be no state enforced laws.

So, it is easy to see that Jesus is coming soon because Sunday worship is soon to be forced by those who now are on fire to change America from is immoral behavior. And, yes, we agree that God is displeased with the rejection of truth in America and is removing His hand of protection because despite His great blessings upon our country, America has become the second beast which speaks as a dragon. Instead of understanding we are nearing the end, many believe there is going to be a great revival in America. No, the opposite is going to happen. God is removing His Spirit from the world. Evil will continue to increase to the point that Christians will be taught that the only way to stop the evil is to put a stop to the desecration of the sun day. We know this, but at the same time there will be many who stand for truth. The sunday laws are not understood today. Many have been taught they do not have to keep the Sabbath. So it will be a surprise when when there is a push for forced sun day rest. I believe that Charlie is one of those who did not understand that worshiping on the seventh day is binding.

There are some Seventh-day Adventist that see a positive situation exists that give us opportunity to reach a great multitude with the Sabbath truth and the health message, and the gospel message. How so? Charlie opened the door and the whole world is focused on Charlie and his faithful Christian character. Since Charlie expounded on so many important Bible truths, we are given a brief opportunity to reach those who love Charlie and Erika. Some of those who have great influence were greatly influenced by Charlie. Many are blind to the wonderful opportunity we have to reach these very influential leaders from around the world. Who might Charlie's influence reach into their hearts?

Since we acknowledge Charlie as a Christian, does that mean we invite him to preach in our churches?  What say you?  No, we do not. I believe he taught the gospel message, but there is more than the gospel message. It is true that we have many false teachers in our churches, and the Bible says they are accursed. "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Gal. 1:8,9. But, because we are aligned with false teachers is not a reason why we ought to allow others who preach the gospel to stand in our pulpits when they do not understand the baptismal vow we require for church membership.

We know Charlie was studying and learning, but he aligned with his ministry many who did not agree with his gospel nor many others truths that Charlie understood such as the seventh day Sabbath and the health message. Would we encourage young men and women to join his ministry? No, we would not. But, we would take advantage of what Charley taught that was far ahead of what is being taught in a great multitude of professing Protestant and Catholic churches. Since many of these churches have members who love Jesus and are now open to what he taught which is significant theology.  Again, there are many who have great influence that were his friends and appreciated his character. Thus, the Holy Spirit is able to bring to their minds and hearts much truth that they otherwise would not hear in such a powerful manner.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to bring to the President and Vice President of the United States the truth of the fourth commandment. The President already has a daughter who keeps the seventh day Sabbath. God is working, and He will hear and answer such prayers. The sun day laws are soon coming to the front. Each will have a decision to make when the last test to come  to humanity is brought before their minds.

There is a false revival taking place in America. We know the end of the story. God wins and Christianity like Judaism in the Old Testament, is found to be on the wrong side of truth. Many have been deceived, yet many who truly love the Lord our God, and love the truth, will soon learn which side is the right side. They will join with us in keeping the true Sabbath. And, they will move beyond where Charlie was, they will worship on the Sabbath Day. Which bring to mind exactly what the fourth commandment states in Exodus:

20:8   Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
20:9   Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
20:10   But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
20:11   For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Yes, I am defending the character of Charlie Kirk. We can find much wrong in what others who will be in heaven understood. They will be in heaven because they loved the Lord our God with the whole heart, as I believe Charlie did.

When we study the Sabbath as given to the world at creation, and as written in Exodus, we find that Charlie kept the Sabbath better than many who are Seventh-day Adventists. He refused to work on the Sabbath.

Now, those who were his friends, close friends, have an example of Charlie's refusal to work on the seventh day which flies in the face of most of Christians. The Holy Spirit amid the fire that is burning brightly is working on those who loved and believed Charlie. Pray that those who love the Lord our God with the whole heart and rightly understand the truth of the Sabbath will be able to help Charlie's friends who have great influence in the world. The seventh day Sabbath has been brought to the front, not by Seventh-day Adventists, but by Charlie Kirk. It is time for us to understand that while the Holy Spirit is pointing to the seventh day Sabbath, Satan is at work to put the first day, the sun day, at the front. The battle has begun and we need to take advantage of what God has done before we find ourselves in utter darkness and are not able to freely express the truth as it is in Jesus.

Charlie was not a Seventh-day Adventist, but he was on his way to become one. Like myself and many others, when one accepts the seventh day Sabbath it is just a matter of time before he walks into a Seventh-day Adventist Church. But, is one blind to the fact that many walk out of this church? One must overcome the  fact that we lose 48% of our church members which includes our children. God does not work mightily to bring precious souls into His Church because many will leave.

Charley recognized the problems in Protestant Churches.

So why do so  many not like Charlie's politics?  The truth is that America is no longer a Protestant nation. Any truly converted Christian can see that the West has fallen, including the United States. Am I the only one who has eyes to see and ears to hear? No. Long ago, 24 years ago, Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson understood the state of the nation.

The Rev Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson set off a minor explosion of their own when they asserted on US television that an angry God had allowed the terrorists to succeed in their deadly mission because the United States had become a nation of abortion, homosexuality, secular schools and courts, and the American civil liberties union.
  source

Many who see this to be true have hopes that America will turn and have a religious revival. It will appear so, but it will not be. Truly converted Bible believers who study study too know God and His Word can understand that Jesus is even at the door. Many fail to understand that all nations will be opposed to the truth. Sadly, Charlie was right in his discernment of the condition of the professing Protestant churches. Their condition is such that JD Vance decided to go with the Roman Church which Protestants have always understood that the pope is not higher than the  Bible, and that salvation is not by works which is what the Roman Church teaches. And having removed one of the ten commandments reveals their lack of respect for Bible truth.

Many believe that America is divided between extreme liberal and conservative beliefs, is true. But, that does not mean that one side is better than the other. The truth is that if the churches were walking in the light of God's truth America would not be in the condition we see today. As Charlie could see, a great multitude of Protestant pastors are not walking in the light. Immoral America is the result of the  failure of religion. Protestant churches have failed. When they did away with law, what do we expect would follow? The mantra was "we are under grace, not under the law."   In other words we are saved in sin. We can sin a sin unto death and still be saved. Thus, children see their parents breaking the law when professing to be better than the immoral left. This is why so many of their children have left their churches.

Charlie was attempting to save our children by teaching truth. And, he was having success. As I have shared in the past, this does not make Charlie correct in all that he believed. But, he was far ahead of the fallen churches which were teaching another gospel. There was a reason why Satan wanted Charlie dead. Charlie was making  progress in understanding truth, even truth that was directly opposed to the common teaching in most professing Protestant churches. There was a battle brewing that Satan hoped would be halted with the death of Charlie. He was wrong. We shall soon see that Charlie lit a fire that will not be put out.

Charlie not only promoted the seventh day Sabbath, he promoted the ten commandments.  How many times do we hear this from other Protestant churches?
