Yesterday I attended a Religious Liberty Summit. My intent by going was to hopefully see leaders in the church present the work being done to educate our people and to encourage the church that we are moving in the right direction to oppose the enemy of liberty in our country and in the world. I also wanted to discuss with some or the leaders which had great influence to encourage me that leaders at the highest level in the world church were doing a good work. And if not, they were active in correcting the problems which exist.
As we attempt to know what is being taught and done in our churches there is much that causes concern and discourages many. There are some who are not strongly believing the remnant church will see a revival and reformation. Thus, many leave the church, while others consider going underground and not participating in the organized church. Others not only will cease paying tithe or diverting it from the "regular" channel, but will openly encourage others to do the same.
From before my first attendance at a Seventh-day Adventist Church I was accosted by some past church members to beware of the church they had left. And when if first stepped into a Seventh-day Adventist Church I knelt down and wept. I had come into the church because I had accepted the seventh day Sabbath. Not by an evangelist, nor by family or friends, but by my Bible study. I wept because i expected to see converted Christians, when instead I saw the world in the church.
The attack on the church I has experienced did not stop after I was baptized. There were some who attended meetings put on by independent ministries who called themselves Seventh-day Adventists, but because of the lack of piety in the churches had removed their names from the organized church. They practiced health reform, dress reform, and believed in victory over sin. From these people from the time I was brought into the church, i was informed of every evil, every problem, and every diversion from the light given within the church. But, God had led me into the church and I refused to leave unless and until God led me out of the church. I since have come to know that there will be revival and reformation in the organized church. The Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy tells us so.
Which institute within the church is without problems? By attending the General Conference Sessions I can testify there are leaders in the world church who are walking in the light. The are witnesses that encourage me and others that this is God's church. The leading edge of truth has been entrusted to the remnant (organized ) church. Just as Israel for almost 2,000 years was God's organized church even though they were most often in deep rebellion against God and His Word. What have I seen in the organized churches, in their institutions? You can read all of this in the "SDA marked forums. Unless you are a Seventh-day Adventist and fully registered, you cannot see these forums. It is not good to put this information out in the public. It brings reproach upon God, His Word, and His church. We have placed some of this dirty laundry in open forums because the information is already been published in national and international media. By our discussion we want others to know what they have read is often not what we believe. An example of one such issue is that of the ordination of women pastors who rule over men. It is not the truth that we do allow that. Those that practice that are in rebellion against the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Efforts are being made to put a stop to this, but so far have failed.
Having given a short testimony of what I believe and have seen, I want to discuss the enemy of freedom and where the church stands today. I begin by saying the church remains in a Laodicean condition which is what I saw when I first walked into a church. As a people we believe we are converted when in fact most are not. They have been deceived and while they believe they are rich and increased with goods when in fact the Bible says they are miserable, wretched, poor, and blind, and naked (Rev. 3:14-19). That being so, then the institutions in the church to a great degree are not walking in the light we have been given. Millions of church have left the church. Children often leave the church even after attending church schools. Church members being treated at our hospitals often are not being treated in harmony with the light we have on health.
What about Religious Liberty? Why would we expect this area of ministry to be free from the Laodicean condition. It is not. But, I went to see and was disappointed. I can say I tried to help, but failed. At least I planted good seed and hopefully the Holy Spirit will continue to pursue those who have great responsibility having great influence in the church. The real enemy of freedom in my country and in the world was not discussed as it ought to have been.
As professing Christians study their Bible to know present truth, they ought to be learning that freedom is being lost each day. The enemy of God, the enemy being used by Satan to ensnare the world is no longer quietly waging war, but openly is calling for a law which violates the constitution in the United States. America the Beautiful is no longer a lamb, but is preparing to devour all that it can. My last post revealed end result of where we are headed, but we need to read the very next verse, for it reveals the enemy of freedom. "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six." Rev. 13:18. The enemy of freedom is the enemy of God. He is a liar and will soon reveal that even though he has been saying he is a defender of religious liberty, he is the real enemy which will not only call for a law which tells us to not work on the sun day, he will want to fine and put in jail those who refuse to worship on the sun day. He will also obtain a law from America to put to death those who continue to worship on God's rest day which was made holy before there was wicked evil Rome that persecuted Christians shortly after they murdered the Son of God. The seventh day was blessed and made holy the day after the six days of the creation of the Earth and man. "And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made." Gen. 2:2,3.
When pagan Western Rome was destroyed as an answer to the prayers of the saints, Eastern Rome under the rule of Constantine made the first sun day laws. Then in 538 AD Eastern Rome under the rule of Justinian gave the Bishop of Rome authority over all of the Christian churches. It was this authority that continues to claim authority today to change the day of worship from the seventh day to the first day. Not only does that institution known as the papacy claim authority, but while preaching religious today is also pushing for Sunday laws claiming they are not for religious matters, but to save mother Earth.
How does God feel about a religious order that attempts to change the day of worship from the seventh day to the first day then wants to force all to accept their heresy? We can read about it in the Bible: "And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name." Rev.14:9-11.
I would have been blessed to have some discussion at our Religious Liberty Summit if we had received a little information on the rapidly moving attempt to make America a Christian nation involving the merger of America, with Apostate Protestants and Catholics. What was popular yesterday was diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). There was a mention of ADRA and the loss of their major source of funding which was USAID as the new administration puts a hold on its funding until they weed out the bad from the good. Millions of dollars were given to ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency). It was said at the summit that the use of these funds were being used to support legal immigration into America. President Wilson last week made a plea to the church to donate money to ADRA.
As the editor of Liberty Magazine, I was surprised that Bettina Krause did not know the head of the General Conference Religious Liberty, Genoune Diop had stated in defense of the Catholic Church "it changed in 1965." The pope "made a declaration for religious liberty." Has Rome changed?
