Too much water or not enough water. Here is some helpful information on no dig in both conditions.

This is one of the best lessons on soil microbiology that I have heard.

I have to say that I've learned some things from this video that I am doing wrong. I will be checking out what else he has to share. He lives in Ontario not far from where I used to live. His growing conditions are better than what we have here and with a longer growing season. Thanks for sharing Richard.

Here is an even better explanation of how to grow food.  No till is not good enough

On the last video you will notice the name  Ray Archuleta  came up.   So, if you want even a better understanding of growing food in better soil, here is the man who seems to have it figured out pretty good.   And, he is a Christian who shares a Bible verse.  There is so very much added to soil health when adding a diverse cover.

I just have to add this link that I'm sure you will be interested in Richard. I've followed this family since they began their journey in gardening 10 years ago. They have a very simplistic understanding of successful gardening but they share the spiritual impact it has had on their lives.
