The collapse of the Assad regime in Syria has increased the potential of war between Turkey and Israel. "For the first time since 1950, Ankara no longer ruled out direct confrontation, while Israeli institutions began treating Turkey as a potential strategic adversary, particularly over Syria." source When Turkey goes into Jerusalem and comes to her end (Dan. 11:45), the Bible tells us
"at that time shall Michael stand up, the great Prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book." Dan. 12:1. This is the end of probation for the whole world.
Thus, God is holding the winds back so that Turkey will not come to her end just yet. We have not done that which God has entrusted to us.
Until God has a people who God then can say "let him who is holy be holy still" probation can not end. Jesus is stuck in the Most Holy Place cleansing the sins of His people. Yes, God will have a people who have ceased to sin, even though few understand it is possible for sinful man to, through the power of God's grace, cease crucifying our Savior Jesus Christ.
As it was with Eve in the Garden, Israel of Old, Babylon today, and modern day Israel, Satan has been successful at deceiving man by convincing them that when one disobeys God he will not surely die. Yes, even many conservative Seventh-day Adventists make excuses for sin when there is no excuse for sin. God has provided a remedy for sinners at great cost. But, few choose to spend a thoughtful hour each day contemplating the life of Jesus. Thus, they do not benefit from the promise found in 2 Cor. 3:18:
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord."
