Sabra Hummus Danger....Recall

(1/1)

Richard Myers:
This Sabra Hummus recall covers a wide variety of products. Let your friends know about the danger.     Sabra Hummus Recall

Inspectors determined the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious illness in elderly, young or immunosuppressed people.

The recalled items, which were shipped to various retailers in the United States and Canada, had a best before date up through Jan. 23, 2017. The Colonial Heights, Virginia-based company advised anyone with the following products to discard them:

Better to put it in a bag and mark it so as to not eat it, and in the event you get sick, you can take the product to the hospital to confirm the product caused your illness.  In the event of death, the lawyer will need to prove the food producer was at fault. This is getting most serious. The food we eat from commercial growers and processors is injuring many. The meat and dairy industry know there are products that have bacteria or virus that cause disease and they still market the product.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea,Listeriainfection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

Pastor Sean Brizendine:
I can testify--I got some of this hummus and I believe I may have experienced some of the ill effects of exposure to the strain of contamination. I went on their website and have reported it and am supposed to get a refund.

I am realizing more fully that we cannot trust our food supply as we would like to, and that now is a time to start growing and processing our own food for greater safety and health reasons.

I thank God for allowing me to recover through this trial. God is good.
