"The apostles and their associates were unlettered men, yet through the outpouring of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost, their speech, whether in their own or a foreign language, became pure, simple, and accurate, both in word and in accent."

The Great Gospel Commission is...."Matthew 28:18-20 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

"Thus Christ gave His disciples their commission. He made full provision for the prosecution of the work, and took upon Himself the responsibility for its success.

So long as they obeyed His word, and worked in connection with Him, they could not fail.

Go to all nations, He bade them. Go to the farthest part of the habitable globe, but know that My presence will be there. Labor in faith and confidence, for the time will never come when I will forsake you."

You do not need a Doctorate Degree in Religion from some prestigious university - You only need the Power of the Holy Spirit which is promised to ALL who are willing to Surrender ALL to Jesus.

"The power of love was in all Christ's healing, and only by partaking of that love, through faith, can we be instruments for His work."...

"Where there is no active labor for others, love wanes, and faith grows dim."

I urge you, as I do myself, to take Spiritual Inventory as soon as possible!  How are "WE" spending our time each day?? Are we spending at least 1 hour/day reading and praying - asking God for Spiritual Power to live for Him? -- Pleading for forgiveness for all the times we have wasted and opportunities missed! Are "We"  living ONLY for Ourselves? Accumulating more " THINGS" more "MONEY" only to be used on Self Gratification? I urge you as soon as possible to read Matthew chapter 25 ASAP - Then join with me, pray and recommit your life to Jesus,

Because - Time is running out and the final movements will be rapid ones.

Amen, Brother Beacon!

Does what we are called to do seem impossible? Good! Because with God, nothing is impossible and He can make ways where there seems to be no way! His Holy Spirit can constantly increase our strength and capacity for service and guide in ways that pass our finite understanding!

"All who consecrate soul, body, and spirit to God will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical and mental power. The inexhaustible supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in heart and mind. The grace of God enlarges and multiplies their faculties, and every perfection of the divine nature comes to their assistance in the work of saving souls. Through co-operation with Christ they are complete in Him, and in their human weakness they are enabled to do the deeds of Omnipotence." {The Desire of Ages, page 827, paragraph 3}

Let us look away from the weakness of self to the omnipotence of God's grace, love and power. As we look and live, the Holy Spirit will abide in the converted soul and not only cause all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing to be seen in the life, but will open up ways to reach others by an affectionate obedience experience of living to bless others! When we let God do in us what He plans, it is a joy!
"When we live by faith on the Son of God, the fruits of the Spirit will be seen in our lives; not one will be missing." {The Desire of Ages, 676.4}

The disciples were to begin their work where they were. The hardest and most unpromising field was not to be passed by. So every one of Christ's workers is to begin where he is. In our own families may be souls hungry for sympathy, starving for the bread of life .There may be children to be trained for Christ. There are heathen at our very doors. Let us do faithfully the work that is nearest. Then let our efforts be extended as far as God's hand may lead the way. The work of many may appear to be restricted by circumstances; but, wherever it is, if performed with faith and diligence it will be felt to the uttermost parts of the earth. Christ's work when upon earth appeared to be confined to a narrow field, but multitudes from all lands heard His message. God often uses the simplest means to accomplish the greatest results. It is His plan that every part of His work shall depend on every other part, as a wheel within a wheel, all acting in harmony. The humblest worker, moved by the Holy Spirit, will touch invisible chords, whose vibrations will ring to the ends of the earth, and make melody through eternal ages.

John 17;20  Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

John 8;30 -31  30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.

31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

This quotation struck at my heart, as we read in John 17: 20-21 in Jesus great intercessory prayer, he prayed for us today, who hear his word from those who did not see him on this earth who come to believe on him, we become one with him then in John 8:30-31 he states when we believe on him we are his disciples.
We should be laboring in this world right were we are to plant seeds for Christ so the Holy Spirit can work on them and germinate them into growth and His Spiritual kingdom may grow. Then as these disciples labor His love and grace will spread to cover the whole face of the earth.
This was his commission to the disciples at his return to heaven, and it is our commission today to spread his word to every Kingdom, tribe, and people. I pray that the lord will lead and give me the courage to do this.  We all should be busy doing Gods work.

"The disciples were to teach what Christ had taught. That which He had spoken, not only in person, but through all the prophets and teachers of the Old Testament, is here included...

..Human teaching is shut out. There is no place for tradition, for man's theories and conclusions, or for church legislation.

No laws ordained by ecclesiastical authority are included in the commission. None of these are Christ's servants to teach. 'The law and the prophets,' with the record of His own words and deeds, are the treasure committed to the disciples to be given to the world. Christ's name is their watchword, their badge of distinction, their bond of union, the authority for their course of action, and the source of their success.

Nothing that does not bear His superscription is to be recognized in His kingdom."

How thankful we should be that we have such a straight forward a commission. May our personal testimony of the love of Jesus and what His requirements are, always be the clear undiluted truth of His Word demonstrated in and by our personal lives.

Not I, but Christ be honored, loved, exalted,
Not I, but Christ be seen, be known and heard;
Not I, but Christ in every look and action,
Not I, but Christ in every thought and word.
    Oh, to be saved from myself, dear Lord,
  Oh, to be lost in Thee,
Oh, that it may be no more I,
    But Christ that lives in me
.
Look up and listen for the shout.

Amen, Brother Beacon!

We are to preach the gospel by living the gospel, and Jesus, the embodiment of the gospel, is wiling to live out His life in us as we surrender the whole heart to Him and let the Holy Spirit manifest through us all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing while simultaneously keeping us from manifesting one of the works of the flesh! Grace has power to transform sinners into saints and to keep the repentant soul from falling!

"The gospel is to be presented, not as a lifeless theory, but as a living force to change the life. God desires that the receivers of His grace shall be witnesses to its power. Those whose course has been most offensive to Him He freely accepts; when they repent, He imparts to them His divine Spirit, places them in the highest positions of trust, and sends them forth into the camp of the disloyal to proclaim His boundless mercy. He would have His servants bear testimony to the fact that through His grace men may possess Christlikeness of character, and may rejoice in the assurance of His great love. He would have us bear testimony to the fact that He cannot be satisfied until the human race are reclaimed and reinstated in their holy privileges as His sons and daughters." {The Desire of Ages, page 826, paragraph 2}

God has great plans for us--and we can scarcely begin to realize what eternity will have for us, so now is the time to share the good news with as many as possible, and with as much enthusiasm and perseverance as possible, for the value of the soul is infinite in light of Christ's sacrifice at Calvary!
"When we live by faith on the Son of God, the fruits of the Spirit will be seen in our lives; not one will be missing." {The Desire of Ages, 676.4}

 The power of love was in all Christ's healing, and only by partaking of that love, through faith, can we be instruments for His work. If we neglect to link ourselves in divine connection with Christ, the current of life-giving energy cannot flow in rich streams from us to the people. There were places where the Saviour Himself could not do many mighty works because of their unbelief. So now unbelief separates the church from her divine Helper. Her hold upon eternal realities is weak. By her lack of faith, God is disappointed, and robbed of His glory.

We cannot win souls to Christ on our own, only by liking with Him and allowing His love to fill us to overflowing can we then spread that love to others as the hymn says "Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up Lord! Come and quench this thirsting of my soul; Bread of heaven feed me until I want no more", Fill mu cup, fill it up till I want no more. When full the cup overflows to those around us, and they are drawn to that marvelous light/love also.

Amen dear brothers!!  What a privilege we have to represent our Saviour as we labor to save souls!!

  The Saviour longs to manifest His grace and stamp His character on the whole world. It is His purchased possession, and He desires to make men free, and pure, and holy. Though Satan works to hinder this purpose, yet through the blood shed for the world there are triumphs to be achieved that will bring glory to God and the Lamb. Christ will not be satisfied till the victory is complete, and "He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied." Isaiah 53:11. All the nations of the earth shall hear the gospel of His grace. Not all will receive His grace; but "a seed shall serve Him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation." Psalm 22:30. "The kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High," and "the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea." "So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun." Daniel 7:27; Isaiah 11:9; 59:19.

Amen!!  He longs to reveal His character to us. Why? Because grace is more than a word. His character of grace transforms sinners into saints! Or as Jesus puts it: "The Saviour longs to manifest His grace and stamp His character on the whole world. It is His purchased possession, and He desires to make men free, and pure, and holy." What is a saint? One who is free, pure, and holy.  Yes, I know that appears to be an abomination to think, but it is the truth. Let us not disappoint our Savior!
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

"Tell the people of Him who is "the Chiefest among ten thousand," and the One "altogether lovely." The Song of Solomon 5:10, 16. Words alone cannot tell it. Let it be reflected in the character and manifested in the life. Christ is sitting for His portrait in every disciple. Every one God has predestinated to be "conformed to the image of His Son." Romans 8:29. In every one Christ's long-suffering love, His holiness, meekness, mercy, and truth are to be manifested to the world.

Wow, what an awesome thought. As many times as I have read this it took today's reading for it to sink in much deeper. What I say, what I do, what I eat, what I wear, where I go and how I treat others reflects the character of the one I am representing. If my life is painting the picture of my Jesus then,"Christ's long-suffering love, His holiness, meekness, mercy, and truth are to be manifested to the world."   To this promise I submit my will and commit my life.
But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press  toward the mark. Phil. 3:13,14

Amen Sister Dorine what a sobering  thought, we are painting the picture of Jesus those around us may see, it could  be their only picture of Jesus. So let us paint a true reflection of God in our Characters.

 The power of love was in all Christ's healing, and only by partaking of that love, through faith, can we be instruments for His work. If we neglect to link ourselves in divine connection with Christ, the current of life-giving energy cannot flow in rich streams from us to the people. Her hold upon eternal realities is weak. By her lack of faith, God is disappointed, and robbed of His glory.

The only way to present God's truths to others is through His love by Faith, reflected to those around us as we present His work. When we present God's work without the connection to God by Faith, and the Holy Spirit it is not as successful as it should be, Jesus and Jesus only should be our connection through faith.  Pray for this connection in our lives not only when doing God's work but every moment of our lives.

Amen, Sister Dorine, Brother Philip, and Brother Beacon!

With limitless possibilities before us, how can we ever be discouraged when Christ abides in our hearts and leads the way before us to victory in reaching souls for Him? What love, joy and peace that pass all understanding along with all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing come to us as we experience total surrender to Christ and let Him live out His life in us in affectionate obedience to His law of love!

"All who consecrate soul, body, and spirit to God will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical and mental power. The inexhaustible supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in heart and mind. This is so amazing! Let's expect great things of God and allow Him to do more than we can ask or think through us!

A new week and new opportunities to follow the instruction of our Lord. All who will spend a thoughtful hour a day contemplating the life of Jesus will understand and obtain the power that grace allowed into the heart brings. Only then can we extend to other the living water of life.

   The Saviour longs to manifest His grace and stamp His character on the whole world. It is His purchased possession, and He desires to make men free, and pure, and holy. Jesus is not idly standing at the doors, but He is actively leading a people to hasten His soon coming. Let us work with Him as we seek to find and save the lost.

Amen Brother Beacon, what a precious promise that we may reflect the character of our  Savior!!

The world is sick. We have been given great light regarding health. Do we truly appreciate it?

     In the Saviour's manner of healing there were lessons for His disciples. On one occasion He anointed the eyes of a blind man with clay, and bade him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam. . . . He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing." John 9:7. The cure could be wrought only by the power of the Great Healer, yet Christ made use of the simple agencies of nature. While He did not give countenance to drug medication, He sanctioned the use of simple and natural remedies.
     To many of the afflicted ones who received healing, Christ said, "Sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." John 5:14. Thus He taught that disease is the result of violating God's laws, both natural and spiritual. The great misery in the world would not exist did men but live in harmony with the Creator's plan.
     Christ had been the guide and teacher of ancient Israel, and He taught them that health is the reward of obedience to the laws of God. The Great Physician who healed the sick in Palestine had spoken to His people from the pillar of cloud, telling them what they must do, and what God would do for them. "If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God," He said, "and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee." Exodus 15:26. Christ gave to Israel definite instruction in regard to their habits of life, and He assured them, "The Lord will take away from thee all sickness." Deuteronomy 7:15. When they fulfilled the conditions, the promise was verified to them. "There was not one feeble person among their tribes." Psalm 105:37.
     These lessons are for us. There are conditions to be observed by all who would preserve health. All should learn what these conditions are. The Lord is not pleased with ignorance in regard to His laws, either natural or spiritual. We are to be workers together with God for the restoration of health to the body as well as to the soul.
     And we should teach others how to preserve and to recover health. For the sick we should use the remedies which God has provided in nature, and we should point them to Him who alone can restore. It is our work to present the sick and suffering to Christ in the arms of our faith. We should teach them to believe in the Great Healer. We should lay hold on His promise, and pray for the manifestation of His power. The very essence of the gospel is restoration, and the Saviour would have us bid the sick, the hopeless, and the afflicted take hold upon His strength.

Do we believe these truths? How do we apply what we read in our world today? Does this have any bearing on the sickness we see today? Who is it that heals? Who is it that keeps from disease? Why are so many today dictating that all will obey the so called science in regards to vaccinations? Why so so many have such great fear?
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

Amen, Brother Beacon and Brother Richard!!

Let us trust God to guide us by the Holy Spirit! There is no limit to the usefulness of our lives when we surrender COMPLETELY to Jesus! Then, when the whole heart is yielded to Christ, all of the fruits of the Spirit will be in our lives without one missing! Then we can obey Jesus up to all the light He has shown us because He is inviting us to an experience higher and better than we can ask or think!

"All who consecrate soul, body, and spirit to God will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical and mental power. The inexhaustible supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in heart and mind. The grace of God enlarges and multiplies their faculties, and every perfection of the divine nature comes to their assistance in the work of saving souls. Through co-operation with Christ they are complete in Him, and in their human weakness they are enabled to do the deeds of Omnipotence." {The Desire of Ages, page 827, paragraph 3}

Trust God in the trying seasons and speak faith and hope. Encourage others even when facing deep trial. Rejoice evermore and pray without ceasing! There are great triumphs to be gained for the cross as we GO FORWARD in His will!
"When we live by faith on the Son of God, the fruits of the Spirit will be seen in our lives; not one will be missing." {The Desire of Ages, 676.4}

    I’ve wandered far away from God,
  Now I’m coming home;
The paths of sin too long I’ve trod,
  Lord, I’m coming home.
    Coming home, coming home,
  Nevermore to roam;
Open wide Thine arms of love;
    Lord, I’m coming home.
2
I’ve wasted many precious years,
  Now I’m coming home;
I now repent with bitter tears,
  Lord, I’m coming home.
3
I’m tired of sin and straying, Lord,
  Now I’m coming home;
I’ll trust Thy love, believe Thy word;
  Lord, I’m coming home.
4
My soul is sick, my heart is sore,
  Now I’m coming home;
My strength renew, my hope restore:
  Lord, I’m coming home.
5
My only hope, my only plea,
  Now I’m coming home;
That Jesus died, and died for me;
  Lord, I’m coming home.
6
I need His cleansing blood, I know,
  Now I’m coming home;
O wash me whiter than the snow;
  Lord, I’m coming home.

It is in doing Christ's work that the church has the promise of His presence. Go teach all nations, He said; "and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." To take His yoke is one of the first conditions of receiving His power. The very life of the church depends upon her faithfulness in fulfilling the Lord's commission. To neglect this work is surely to invite spiritual feebleness and decay. Where there is no active labor for others, love wanes, and faith grows dim.

I find this a very interesting thought, If God's church is not willing to spread His word, to surrender to Him and allow His love to flow through us to others. The love of Christ and even our faith and thus the faith of the church is weakened. So, by failing to spread the love of Christ to those around us is God's way of growing our faith, the faith of those around us, and the church as well.  What a blessing it is to spread the word, character, and love of Christ to the world.

Amen, Brother Beacon and Brother Philip!

Happy Sabbath, and happy new year 2022!! May this year be filled with Holy Spirit transforming your life!

“All who consecrate soul, body, and spirit to God will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical and mental power. The inexhaustible supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in heart and mind. The grace of God enlarges and multiplies their faculties, and every perfection of the divine nature comes to their assistance in the work of saving souls. Through co-operation with Christ they are complete in Him, and in their human weakness they are enabled to do the deeds of Omnipotence.” {The Desire of Ages, page 827, paragraph 3}

There is no limit to what the Holy Spirit can do in our lives when w surrender fully to Him! In true conversion the heart is made pure and filled with all of the fruits of the Spirit without one missing! Then we are empowered to affectionately obey God as our true joy! Christ is able to do this in you continually!!
"When we live by faith on the Son of God, the fruits of the Spirit will be seen in our lives; not one will be missing." {The Desire of Ages, 676.4}

Whatever one's calling in life, his first interest should be to win souls for Christ. He may not be able to speak to congregations, but he can work for individuals. To them he can communicate the instruction received from his Lord. Ministry does not consist alone in preaching. Those minister who relieve the sick and suffering, helping the needy, speaking words of comfort to the desponding and those of little faith. Nigh and afar off are souls weighed down by a sense of guilt. It is not hardship, toil, or poverty that degrades humanity. It is guilt, wrongdoing. This brings unrest and dissatisfaction. Christ would have His servants minister to sin-sick souls.

I was once a sin sick soul. I did not need or want anyone to condone my condition nor did I need anyone to point fingers and say "I told you so." or "You made your bed....."  What encouragement and reassurance Jesus brings to those in sin. He heals, forgives and says, "Go and sin no more." We are Christs witnesses to share what He has done for us and to bring hope to the guilty despondent souls. This can be more powerful than a sermon.
But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press  toward the mark. Phil. 3:13,14

Amen dear sister! We read the chapter on the Death of Moses yesterday. It is an amazing thing that Moses had not been sinning for a very long time.....and then he sinned. It was a very great sin, so great that even after a very quick and deep repentance, he had to die. But as our sister has shared, we do not have to be discouraged nor fearful when we have repented or our great sin. Moses understand God would not forsake him. And, he did not complain about not being able to go into the promised land. He knew there was a better place that he looked forward to. He was not living for self, but to glorify God. Are we as motivated as was Moses to do the work of God? Do we think we are not able to do so? We cannot do a very good job  if we have not His living water in our hearts. But, if we have given the Lord the whole heart, then He will give us the Holy Spirit and He will empower us to all that God wants from us. We can then give to others the great hope and joy God has given us. We can tell them of the great love has for them and the promises of forgiveness of sin and the love, joy, and peace that comes with a full surrender.

All who consecrate soul, body, and spirit to God will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical and mental power. The inexhaustible supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in heart and mind. The grace of God enlarges and multiplies their faculties, and every perfection of the divine nature comes to their assistance in the work of saving souls. Through co-operation with Christ they are complete in Him, and in their human weakness they are enabled to do the deeds of Omnipotence.

We all have been blessed in what the Spirit has revealed. He is bringing us into unity of doctrine as well as unity of Spirit. Let pass this wonderful experience on to others in this new year. Let us hasten the soon coming of our Lord and Savior!!
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.
