"The life of Christ was marked with respect and love for His mother."
"Mary believed in her heart that the holy child born of her was the long-promised Messiah, yet she dared not express her faith."
"Throughout His life on earth she was a partaker in His sufferings."
"She witnessed with sorrow the trials brought upon Him in His childhood and youth."
"By her vindication of what she knew to be right in His conduct, she herself was brought into trying positions. She looked upon the associations of the home, and the mother's tender watchcare over her children."
"The sons and daughters of Joseph knew this, and by appealing to her anxiety, they tried to correct the practices of Jesus according to their standard."
Here we see that sometimes well meaning people within our own families or the church, can be used by Satan to try to hinder one of God's Children. Thus it becomes all of us to make sure that whatever our opinion is, it must be based on the Word of God in order to bring about the encouragement for the one we are trying to help. Let pray earnestly for that Devine Connection because each soul is soo precious to Jesus who shed His blood to make our salvation possible.
========================
1
Come, Thou Fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wand’ring from the face of God;
He, to save my soul from danger,
Interposed His precious blood.
2
O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be!
Let that grace, Lord, like a fetter,
Bind my wand’ring heart to Thee.
Teach me, Lord, some rapturous measure,
Meet for me Thy grace to prove,
While I sing the countless treasure
Of my God’s unchanging love.
3
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it;
Prone to leave the God I love:
Take my heart, oh, take and seal it
With Thy Spirit from above.
Rescued thus from sin and danger,
Purchased by the Savior’s blood,
May I walk on earth a stranger,
As a son and heir of God.
