The Beginning of the Rebellion Celebrated
« on: December 19, 2015, 02:29:44 PM »
Two weeks ago the La Sierra University Church celebrated the beginning of the rebellion to make women leaders over men in God's church. The immorality has spread to the American Armed Forces that will now place daughters and wives on the front line of battle. In another attempt to make women equal with men, a lawsuit has been brought to make the Selective Service begin registering girls for the draft.

Invited to the celebration at La Sierra were the first five women to be ordained as ministers in their conferences. Larry Geraty, Past President of the school, himself a leader in the rebellion, gave an overview of how they succeeded in making a start to place women over men in the church. It began with the ordination of a woman as a local elder. According to Geraty that woman a few years later in 1975 was made associate pastor at the Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church. The first five women placed as leaders over men were ordained in 1995 just a short time after the World Church voted "no" to a request from the North American Division to allow each division to decide the matter. That vote was made by the General Conference in Session at Utrecht, in the Netherlands.

Ad now the AR has unwisely given publicity to the Weniger award to Sandra Roberts depicting her a conference president whom the GC does not recognize. See: http://tinyurl.com/jeyhoph
The AR and Wilson's office should be inundated with protests by the faithful.

Yes, Pete, it is a very sad situation that this would be published in the GC's Review. This was discussed in a private forum, but the Review is world-wide, so we are not exposing a secret. It is painful to have to discuss this at all, much less publicly. Public sins when they are serious and go unchecked must be addressed publicly.

Thanks for sharing this sad truth, Wally. This is a good place to begin the topic. Broadcasting the awards to rebels by the Review is more grievous than the rebellion itself. We have a topic on the subject of the need for reform in our publishing houses, but this is a subject in and of itself.

There is no need to comment on the female honored since we all understand her position as leader of the SECC places her near the head of the rebellion.

Branson, who co-founded the independent Spectrum magazine and was associate dean of Loma Linda University’s School of Religion at the time of his death, was thoroughly committed to the Adventist mission, message, and church organization, and he exercised that commitment by fostering an independent media that did not shy away from addressing issues that he felt were hindering the church’s fulfillment of its mission, said Jon Paulien, dean of Loma Linda University’s School of Religion.

He also "worked as a professor at Georgetown University."

How long? How long before the General Conference deals with its errant institutions? There is no kingly power in the church structure. The GC cannot fire the SECC president, but it can deal with those under its control. And, there are a number which are giving comfort to the enemy.
