Pope Accuses Turkey of Genocide
« on: April 12, 2015, 10:47:47 AM »
Today Pope Francis referred to the massacre of Armenians by Ottoman Turks as "the first genocide of the 20th century."  Turkey has always refused to acknowledge the killing of what is estimated to be 1.5 million Armenian Christians. At a time when Muslims are murdering Christians around the world, this statement by the pope will acerbate the situation. In the past there have been moves by the American Congress to make the same  pronouncement.   source

As we watch these developments, we are reminded of the Bible prophecies that involved Turkey in these last days. We believe that Turkey will enter Jerusalem just prior to the second coming of Jesus. Turkey is seeking to reclaim her leadership of the Muslim world.

I've always found it odd that Turkey refuses to acknowledge the errors of her past.  It would be like the US refusing to acknowledge slavery or Jim Crow laws.
So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants:  we have done that which was our duty to do.  Luke 17:10

Wally, genocide is a little different from slavery. All the people are all dead. And, it may be that Islam feels  justified in killing them. That is what we are seeing today around the world and  what Islam's history reveals. Attaturk while giving Turkey some relief from Sharia  law did not remove Islam from his country. You cannot convert Muslims in Turkey. Turkey did  not give up her caliphate willingly, but out  of necessity. The zeal  for Islam is manifesting  itself today.  So....Attaturk wanted to be a friend to the West. To  admit genocide  would create some difficulty there. Now, that Turkey is moving away from the West, it may be that they will admit killing the Christians. If we believe Islam was the fifth, sixth, and seventh trumpets, then we shall soon have an answer. It will be interesting.

As terrible as murder is wherever it happens the papacy is in no position to point fingers at anybody, given her past, present, and future actions and cover ups.
It's easier to slow a fast horse down than to get a dead one going.
