This is interesting. Apple says iOS 8 will shield your data from police.

Any such "security" is only good until someone figures out how to hack it.  Rest assured, government agencies have ways of unsecuring what others say is "secure."  Been there . . . done that.

I'm a bit skeptical as pastor Vaughn is. If it's true that Apple does not hold the encryption keys then it might possibly be true that Apple has no way of handing over the data on the phone.

However, in michigan a couple of years back there was some attention drawn to the state police for having purchased a device that will scan and retrieve data from the phone without the cops even touching the phone.
