It is a Biblical principle that we reap what we sow. Character is revealed in our motives, thoughts, words, and our deeds. Character is seen by the trend of the life. The BBC is reporting that a convicted man who sexually assaulted a woman was sentenced to five years and four months. This does not sound appropriate for such a heinous crime. The 27 year old said he had been drinking heavily, taken cocaine and ecstasy and had started using cannabis at age 9 and binge drinking at 11, before moving on to cocaine and ecstasy in his early teens. The Bible says that justice is fallen in the street, equity cannot enter and he who departs from iniquity makes himself a prey. It is true. But, in this matter it appears that there is justice outside of what happens in the courtroom. Now the young man finds out that his victim had AIDS.
