The very notion of giving women ecclesiastical authority over men is the heresy of Peputianism!
There was a time in the history of the so-called Roman Catholic Church where even the Papacy itself was under the rule of two licentious women, named Theodora and Marozia! It occurred in the 10th century AD in Rome itself. Liutprand, the Bishop of Cremona, bore witness in his Antapodosis, against these two women usurpers of ecclesiastical authority over men. See:
http://clc-library-org.tripod.com/crises1.html#ChapterVII.
There are those however, mostly so-called Roman Catholics, and accomodating Protestants who give the so-called Roman Catholic Church too much of the benefit of the doubt, who will indignantly DENY the truthfulness of Liutprand’s accusations against Sergius III and Marozia.
But Johann Lorenz Mosheim, in his
Institutes of Ecclesiastical History, states that:
At that time, the noted Theodora, with her two daughters Marozia and Theodora, resided at Rome. They were wholly devoted to what was called the Tuscan party, of which the marquis Adalbert (not Alleric, as in the text of Mosheim) was the head. These women not only lived in habits of the most abominable unchastity with the chief men of Rome, but they had boundless influence in the government there. Luitprand is in this matter the principal historian. Eccard and Muratori have indeed questioned his authority, and endeavoured to make his testimony suspicious. But Siegebert of Gemblours, and Alberic the author of the chronicle of Ferfe, (who could not have transcribed from Luitprand), confirm his account of the profligate lives of these base females.
The so-called Roman Catholic Church KNOWS that it is anti-Scriptural and contrary to the Law of Nature and Nature's God to ordain women to the priesthood, or as clerics in Holy Orders, or to grant them any part or parcel of ecclesiastical jurisdiction! They have ALWAYS known that whatever woman DARES behave the way Theodora and Marozia did is guilty of breaking the Apostolic precepts which teach the subjection of woman to man in ecclesiastical and liturgical matters, and that women are justly liable to the same penalties for activities far less scandalous and opprobrious than this!!! And they KNOW that to ADMIT that any of these accusations are true would be a GRAVE reproach to their "church!" That is why they are so bent on DENYING the truth of these accusations!!! But on Google Books, there is a book entitled,
England and Rome, by the Rev. James Scudamore, written in 1855, which gives evidence to REFUTE arguments the Papists use to DENY the veracity of Liutprand's accusations against these two women! Anyone who is interested should go on Google Books and search for England and Rome Marozia Scudamore, or use the following link:

I admit that the women's ordinationists in our denomination have not yet gone even half as far as Theodora and Marozia in their shameless and notorious intrigues, but there is always the possibility that it may eventually be heading in that direction. (Some of them have already used the successes gained in women's ordination as a platform to promote homosexuality.) We must watch and pray, and resist the beginnings of evil -
Obsta principiis. Avoid the first steps to evil, and you have therefore avoided the last steps.
