Prayer for a dad...
« on: October 07, 2011, 12:03:34 AM »
My daughter's boyfriend's father is in the hospital and has had surgery today for a brain tumor near the brain stem.  He was on vacation with his son, collapsed, and they thought he'd had a stoke before performing the MRI.  The family is very stressed, and I would ask for prayer for all, physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally.

Six months ago, the son's (Corey) mother was vacationing with him, became ill, and died three days later.  Understandably, this is traumatic on all concerned.

My youngest son has a brain tumor, so I am definately emotionally involved (and this man is part of my daughter's life now).

Please pray that their faith will not fail, that they will stand steadfast in the Lord, no matter what His will may be.  And for those who may not be saved, may this be to Your honor and glory as a witness to Your love and watchcare over us.  IJNA

We join you in prayer, Naja. What a trial for that family!

Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing us to come to you and to ask for your intervention in the things of this world. There is pain and suffering all around, but we understand that you allow it for a reason, for our good. Send your angels and your Spirit to comfort and to bless this family, especially the young man who has lost his mother and now sees his father in danger of dying. Use the situation for all involved, that they may understand the unseen battle for their eternal lives. Give wisdom and grace to your children involved that they may be your witnesses that you are a  God of love and great power. Give our sister Naja wisdom to know what she can do to comfort and bless in this situation, we pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.
