PRAISE GOD!

Over the years I have read of the terrible conditions of Christians in NK. I read of one young man who was walking with a friend when NK police came up to them in the street and knocked his friend to the pavement. The officer in command accused him of being a 'Christian', pulled his pistol, and placing it against his head, fired, killing him. The young man went home crying and told his mother of what had happened. He told her that in the instant before he died, his friend looked into his eyes. He told her that he knew his friend was telling him that "he wanted me to be a Christian". But the young man had never heard of a 'Christian' and did not know what a Christian was.

His mother began crying and asked his forgiveness because she had been a Christian since childhood but had never told him or the family about Christ for fear of being killed, or worst, having her entire family committed to a prison camp with her and suffering because of her faith. She led him to Christ that day and when his two brothers came home, they too accepted Christ as their Savior.

The brothers began crossing the border into China regularly in order to smuggled Korean Bibles into NK. They knew that if they were captured by the Chinese, they would go to prison and on release, be turned over to the NK authorities. If captured by the Koreans, they would die. For approx. a year, they illegally crossed over the border bringing in Bibles from China. Then they were never seen again by the Koreans assisting them in China.

I ask myself...would I be willing to suffer and to die, like these brothers, in order to give others a Bible so that they could learn who Jesus Christ is? By His grace I hope so.

Amen, Cop.   There are real Christians in the world today. How can we tell? By their fruits we shall know them! The day is soon coming, my dear Brother, that we shall have opportunity to reveal beyond a doubt our faith.
