No signs of foul play a suicide does not make.
As the Chief Financial Officer for Freddie Mac, the evidence of corruption was in the daily work of this man who is now dead. Enough has been revealed that we now know one of the main reasons so many banks and countries are in trouble is because of the actions of Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae. Their packaged loans were sold through many financial instruments as "gold", back by US real estate. The evil deeds were exercised not only by their execs, but by politicians who wined and dined them and took money from them.
There are many questions yet to be answered. The play is not over and this man was central to the unrolling of the scroll. But, not any more. Suicide? Was there a note? If there was no note, then I would surely say there is good reason to suspect something other than suicide.
What's the point? We are living in the days just prior to the coming of Christ. We are told that the days would be as the days just before the flood. Was there such things going on then? Every where we look, we see selfishness and corruption.
Come Lord Jesus!
Amen! We are told that this would happen in James 5. It is oft quoted, but worth repeating:
1Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire.
Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. 4Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you
kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the
Lord of sabaoth.
5Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
6
Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.
7Be patient therefore, brethren, unto
the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the
early and latter rain.
8Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts:
for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 9Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold,
the judge standeth before the door.Rampant corruption is foretold in the last days. We also see that in the last days, there will be a financial collapse of some sort that will precede the second coming. This is manifest in 3 (heaped up treasure...for the last days), verse 4 (Lord of the Sabbath, the Sabbath will be the point of contention), and verse 7 (James tells those living in this time to "stablish their hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh," and verse 9 ("the judge standeth before the door").
Richard, I also have my suspicions about the death of this CFO. Whether they are well founded or not remains to be seen, but I am keeping an open mind.
The longer I live, the less I am enchanted with this world. Millions each year die unjustly and still more live in conditions hardly worthy of sewer rats. The coming of the Lord will be preceded by much violence, hate, trials and tribulations. But with the end of this earth will come the end of suffering for millions of innocent people. These things must take place, and I hope sooner rather than later. "Even so, come Lord Jesus!" Revelation 22:20 NKJV.
