Live webcam of brooding Eagle

Yes, I snatched the link from Newbie ... it is quite wonderful! The children will especially enjoy watching the progress of this nest!  ;) March 15 is the day we should see some real live births!

Around 5, I happened to look in on her and at that moment, she jumped from the nest very quickly and just as quickly returned with a dead bird. It was amazing how fast it all happened! I saw only three eggs.

Oh this will be exciting to watch.  We have a nest in a tree 3 houses down the hill from us. ( the tree is now protected due to eagles nesting in it)  Can't see what is going on in it though!   But we sure have fun watching the eagles flying by the house, yard, deck etc.  What magnificent birds!  I love to hear their cry.   We have to be careful with small dogs....the eagles have more than once come close to our shitzu in the yard to take a good look!!   But he's a large shitzu .. #20 and would be a bit much for them to tackle.    I've seen and heard them crack limbs to carry back to the nest.   Amazing.    Colleen

Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Deu 32:11  As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
Deu 32:12  So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
Deu 32:13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

Psa 103:5  Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

The eagles have tightened up the nest making a crib of sorts inside it. The eaglets are due this weekend.  8)

I finally was able to see the mate come in, but it just dropped off something and flew away. It must have been something to eat as the nest sitter got up and appeared to be eating for a few minutes.

Another eagle cam and this one has sound: http://www.hancockwildlifechannel.org/staticpages/index.php/20090302200021473

New message on cam:

Quote
Depending on when true incubation started, which may be after the second egg,
or sometimes not until after the third egg, the hatch date may be the 20th of March,
although it could happen anytime.

Hummmm ... March 20.  ;)  That is the first day of spring.

Very nice blessing from the Lord to watch this! We have many bald eagles around the area where we live now. I saw a bald eagle sitting in the tree right out side of town one Sabbath morning on the way to church.

The chick is pretty cute what I could see of it while they were feeding it. They also appear to have a nice size fish in the nest, at least I think that's what I'm seeing lying there.

(Now a few minutes after writing the above I can see more clearly that it is a fish and in fact saw the adult eating it and apparently sharing it with the chick, much to my surprise)

Whoopee, I just got to see the chick for the first time and both parents are present.
O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. O Lord, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing. Jeremiah  10:23-24

There is a line of severe thunderstorms, with the possibility of tornadoes heading towards the nesting grounds of the eagles in Oklahoma.

Well, I can't read much on here yet because of my eye surgery, so my granddaughter and I have checked on the eagles quite a bit, my husband even came in to watch. I got to see both of them feeding the chick.  It is amazing to see those fierce looking birds so gently feeding the baby.  How wonderful is our God, to put the desire in those eagle parents to care for their young.  I wish I knew which is the male/female.  Does anyone know how to tell?

I have read the female is larger than the male and that her head is smaller than his. She spends more time on the nest while he gathers food. Just like humans!  ;)

Hm.....now was your just like humans statement referring to your whole statement or just the last part?  ;)
