Food rationing?

Anyone heard anymore about possible food rationing as a result of the global grain shortage?

No, but it does make sense that it could be a reality - and pretty soon.

So far we've had no problem getting grains at my work place. We had to ration initially, just because we were unprepared for the rush of people stocking up - but that only lasted a couple weeks. If they begin rationing, I think it will be because people have been worried and buying extra to stock up - at least that's what I've seen. People buying hundreds of pounds of wheat - when they used to get 50 at a time.
Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. Psalm 119:18

My former Head Elder asked a question when I forwarded this to him. Could this have a Matthew 24 application of "famine" in the land?

It seems to have expanded some from what was reported in the initial story I linked to. Here is an updated story:

CNN just reported there is no shortage of food but a shortage of money to buy the food. It is especially hitting hard in Africa and China. Some riots in Africa have been ongoing for several days.

Between this and the housing situation, the gap between the rich and the poor is getting wider.
