Fellowship Rules
« on: February 19, 2007, 10:45:00 PM »
Welcome to The Remnant Online. (TRO)   :)

We have a few rules that make our fellowship more enjoyable.  If you have questions, please post them in the Members Forum in the Administration area.

The Membership Agreement establishes the principles upon which this fellowship operates. We also find a need to have some additional guidance so that  we may maintain an orderly fellowship. We will update this thread as it becomes necessary.

There has been created a Member's Forum where members may post any questions or concerns they have regarding the administration of the forums. NO ADMINISTRATIVE CONCERNS OR DIFFICULTIES WITH THE FELLOWSHIP ARE TO BE POSTED IN ANY OTHER FORUM (within this fellowship)! Doing so may result in the loss of one's membership. Most that have joined our fellowship do not desire a contentious environment. The Members Forum is open to all fully registered Seventh-day Adventist members. If you are not fully registered, please do so by emailing to us your church address and a phone number to contact you for verification. This is not an anonymous internet website, but rather it is a Seventh-day Adventist ministry (A self-supporting ministry of Seventh-day Adventists--not directly affiliated with the church as expressed in the membership agreement).

In addition to the Member's Forum we have established a Member/Moderator Forum where anything of a private nature may be discussed. Members will be individually assigned permission to enter this forum as the need arises. We have had one member delete whole topics that included the posts of many others who had labored to provide input into these important matters. Another disgruntled member deleted all of his posts in a number of important discussions. Nothing has been said in regards to restrictions, for it is self evident that to do these things is injurious to our work of spreading the gospel truth. Both members have had their posting privileges suspended.

Please do not use the edit function to remove whole posts. The edit function is not made available to change what one has said, but rather to correct grammar or the manner in which something was said. After there has been a response to a post, it is not ethical to change the content of one's post or to remove it. If the post is so offensive as to require removing by the moderator, then let the moderator edit the post and make comment as to why the thread does not flow smoothly due to the edited message.

Repeating this important point, do not edit the content of a message after a reply has been made to your message.

Posting messages in this fellowship does not give one the right to remove them. All messages posted become the property of The Remnant Online and any message removed will be reposted and may result in the removal of posting privileges or membership.

Thank your for your help in keeping the fellowship orderly.
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

We all in our personal lives are involved in many areas of life. One area is that of voting. We not only have that opportunity in most countries, but we also have the opportunity to influence others as to what is important. Before we became Christians, we considered this most important. After we become Christians we learn that there are there are other considerations and other Powers.

Jesus is our example and he remained aloof from from political matters. He spent most of his time healing and doing good for humanity. He spent time also in teaching His Father's Word. Why did Jesus not address the political matters of his time? Because He understood that the real need was the condition of men's hearts. He labored for the hearts of men. We too are to do the same.

There are multitudes of internet sites that will inform of the political issues of the day. Please use them if you are so inclined. Same with the news of the day. Unless there is a particular reason for bringing forth a news story, please use other sites for this purpose.

There is a need to resist the coming Sunday legislation and as such we will discuss this subject as well as keeping our members informed of what is happening in the areas that pertain to our labors for the souls of men. Please pray about this request. I think we all can agree that we want to keep this fellowship on a high spiritual level. We have much to discuss and study regarding the light God has given and to see how the prophecies are being fulfilled.

Thank you for your understanding.  :)
