His murderers were greatly annoyed by the superscription, "The King of the Jews," placed upon the cross above His head.  But then they will be obliged to see Him in all His glory and kingly power.  They will behold on His vesture and on His thigh, written in living characters, "KING OF KINGS, and LORD OF LORDS."  They cried to Him mockingly, as He hung upon the cross, "Let Christ, the King of Israel, descend from the cross, that we may see and believe."  They will behold Him then with kingly power and authority.  They will demand no evidence of His being King of Israel, but overwhelmed with a sense of His majesty and exceeding glory, they will be compelled to acknowledge, "Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord."   EW 179

"What doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, to keep the commandments of the Lord, and His statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

For the Lord your God is KING OF KINGS, and LORD OF LORDS, s great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward.  He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment,  Love ye therefore the stranger... Thou shall fear the Lord thy God, Him shalt thou serve, and to Him shalt thou cleave, and swear by His name.  He is thy praise, and He is thy God."

The Voice in the Wilderness

He looked upon the King in His beauty, and self was forgotten.  He beheld the majesty of holiness, and felt himself to be inefficient and unworthy.  He was ready to go forth as Heaven's messenger, unawed by the human, because he had looked upon the Divine.  He could stand erect and fearless in the presence of earthy monarchs, because he had bowed low before the KING OF KINGS.  (Speaking of John the Baptist in Desire of Ages 103)

In the world there is much regard for kings and such, but how many hold Jesus in such high regard? Why not? What a king!
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

The One who could make all the difference in peoples lives now and forever is the one they avoid because they want to live life their way. He is the King for all but only some see it and except it. How Sad.

Yes, dear sister, the world extolls the idea of "doing it my way." It is such a blessing to understand that "my way" is full of selfishness and death. When we truly see our selves we understand the problem.

Yet, we have a King who loves us and gave Himself for us!! What a value that places upon a soul! How very sad that so many are blinded by the kings and things of this world when Jesus is so close!

Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

Amen Richard....We have a King that loves us so very much.  Sister Marie, it is so sad that people cannot and do not believe  how great our King really is.  What a difference He has made in my life.

He alone is to be depended on. He is our King of kings, and Lord of lords.  He is a mighty God who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think....If He is for us, who can be agaist us. Thank you, my King of all kings.

November 23, 1891 The Comforter.

True as the love of a mother to her child, is the love of Jesus to us. It abides unchangeable as himself. The dear Saviour does not fail, neither is he discouraged; and if we are one with him, our faith will be of the same enduring nature. We shall cling to Jesus with unyielding faith, surrendering our will and way to his, binding up our hearts with his great heart of love. We shall live as he lives, work as he works, and because we depend on him as our helper, we shall not fail or be discouraged in the great work of saving our own souls or the souls of others. Oh, what love, what matchless love! He will not fail or be discouraged in watching over our interests, in summoning us to arise to a nobler, purer life. We must draw nearer to the throne of God, where we may breathe the atmosphere of heaven, and through the mercy of God be permitted to glorify Him who is the One "altogether lovely," the "Chiefest among ten thousand." {ST, November 23, 1891 par. 12}

Dear Lord, Please help us to understand better Your love for us and Your Sacrifice for us. Bring us closer unto You Father and Saviour.

The Sin of Rejecting Light

The GREAT I AM acquainted Pharaoh with his mighty works, showing him that He was the ruler of heaven and earth.  But the king chose to defy the God of heaven.  He would not consent to break his proud heart even before the KING OF KINGS, that he might receive the light, for he was determined to have his own way, and work out his own rebellion. His proud disregard of God's command, "Let my people go," confirmed him in his determination not to yield....

Thus the work went on, finite man warring against the expressed will of an infinite God.  This case is a clear illustration of the sin against the Holy Spirit. Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."  Gradually the Lord withdrew his Spirit.  Removing his restraining power, he gave the king into the hands of the worst of all tyrants,-SELF   RH 07-27-97
(This post is also a good illustration of  The Unpardonable Sin)

EVERLASTING JOY

When Christ came to this earth the first time, He came in lowliness and obscurity, and His life here was one of suffering and poverty.....

At His second coming all will be changed.  Not as a prisoner surrounded by rabble will men see Him, but as heaven's KING.  Christ will come in His own glory, in the glory of His Father, and in the glory of the holy angels. Ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands of angels, the beautiful, triumphant sons of God, possessing surpassing loveliness and glory, will escort Him on His way.

In the place of a crown of thorns, He will wear a crown of Glory-a crown within a crown.  In place of that old purple robe, He will be clothed in a garment of whitest white. And on His vestuure and on His thigh a name will be written, "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."

What a day that will be! Lord Jesus COME!

As I look at the world today, I see many that may never rise in that first resurrection.  How sad that will be.  How sad  my heart feels for them....

They will rise with kings and noblemem of the earth, they will all come together, the bad, the mean and low, and all will behold the Son of man; and those very men who despised and mocked Him, who put the crown of thorns upon His sacred brow, and smite Him with the reed. They will be with those I see today that will rise in this second resurrection. They will behold Him in all His kingly majesty.  Those who spit upon Him in the hour of His trial now turn away from His piercing gaze and from the glory of His countenance. Those who drove the nails through His hands and feet, now look upon the marks of His crucifixion.  Those who thrust the spear into His side behold the marks of their cruelty on His body.  And they know that He is the VERY ONE WHOM THEY CRUCIFIED. And then there arises one long protracted wail of agony, as they flee to hide from the presence of the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Yes, I believe that Christ is our only King from the beginning and forever.  Not even angels who were created higher than man, Ps.8:5, are worthy of worship.  The angel, Gabriel, the highest angel in heaven, who stands "next in rank to the Son of God," (See: Desire of Ages p. 234)told John, the Revelator not to worship him. "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God..." Rev. 19:10.

Now if the highest angel is not worthy of being worshipped, the only One who is worthy of worship is Christ our King.  Rev. 4:11 says, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

Those who used the inscription "King" over Christ's head at His crucifixion did not realize how right they were.

Welcome to TRO, Seed!  :)

Yes, only Christ is worthy of our worship and of course our heavenly Father. What is it about Christ that you see that makes Him worthy?

Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

Welcome to the Remnant Online (TRO) Seed. What a good idea for a user name. Would that we all have that name in one way or another. We are glad to hear from you and look forward to hearing from you more.  :)

Thank you for your welcome.  I feel that I will definitely benefit spiritually from and enjoy your forum.

What makes Christ worthy to be our King? With the Father He is pre-existent.  He is our Creator, our Redeemer, and our Advocate/Intercessor with the Father, and He is coming back for us.  Hope I have covered all the bases.

1 John 5:7 says, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

The privileges granted to the childtren of God are without limit-to be connected with Jesus Christ, who throughout the universe of heaven  is adored by every heart, and His praises sung by every tongue.

To be children of God, to bear His name, to become a member of the royal family, is to be ranged under the banner of Prince Emmanuel, the KINGOF KINGS, AND THE LORD OF LORDS.

What can be done to open the eyes of the self-deluded souls, except to set before them an example of true piety, and be ourselves, not hearers only,  but doers of the commandments of the Lord, thus reflecting the light of purity of character upon their pathway?

Are We Ready? I doubt many are. So sad to say that, but it is true.

There are Enoch's on this forum. There are Enoch's throughout His church, but they are few. The workers are few. In the book of John it was said:

1:10   He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Just as true today as it was said then. So many are looking for the truth in the wrong places. They are looking for a jesus that does not exists instead of looking to the Jesus that does.

By failing to understand and learn of Him the special truths for this generation, they look elsewhere and are in darkness.

Yes, JESUS IS COMING SOON. Sooner than many think or imagine.
