Magnitude 6 quakes were rare, now they are common.  We can expect to hear of another larger quake. These are signs of the wickedness of the cities of the world. They are signs of the soon coming of Jesus. Not May 21, nor 2012.  The Bible is our guide, not those deceived by their own understanding. "As the days of Noah were, so shall the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." What was it caused the destruction of the people in the world before the flood?--It was their own sin; for the thoughts and imaginations of their hearts were only evil, and evil continually. They trampled upon the commands of God, as did the Jews, and suffered God's retributive judgment. "Even so shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed."
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

Turkey earthquake - three killed and 80 injured yesterday

At least three people have been killed and 80 injured after an earthquake measuring 5.9 struck north-west Turkey, around 300km west of the capital Ankara.

The tremor struck just before midnight local time and centred on the town of Simav, in Kutahya province.

Terrified residents ran into the streets, and many spent the night in cars after being warned not to go back to their homes.

They are going to have to rethink their tectonic plate theory. The number of quakes is so great that we are going to need many super highways to accommodate these traveling plates.

Iran earthquake kills 306, search for dead continues

Rejects help from a number of countries:

Twin earthquakes that devastated rural villages in northwest Iran killed a total of 306 people, most of them women and children, Health Minister Marzieh Vahid Dastjerdi said yesterday, adding that the search for bodies was ongoing.

Another 3,037 were injured, of whom 2,011 were given first aid at the scene and the rest were taken to hospital, where 700 surgeries were performed, Vahid Dastjerdi told lawmakers in a report published on the parliament’s website.

People seem to be sleeping through all of the earthquakes in diverse places.  A big one is coming.

Here is a statement from the link Sybil just gave.

South America and Central America have been rocked by larger earthquakes within the past few weeks. The USGS website lists moderate sized earthquakes within the last month in Chile (6.1 magnitude on Nov. 14), Guatemala (6.5 magnitude on Nov. 11 and a 7.4 magnitude on Nov. 7), and Costa Rica (6.5 magnitude on Oct. 24).

Common place now.

6.1 in Chile

Magnitude 6.1 quake shakes central Chile, no damage reported

SANTIAGO (Reuters) - A strong earthquake shook buildings in the Chilean capital of Santiago on Wednesday but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, and the country's massive copper mines were not affected.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said the 6.1 magnitude quake struck 106 km (66 miles) south-southwest of the port city of Valparaiso. The USGS initially reported the quake as a magnitude 5.9.

"There are no reports of injuries or of any disruption to basic services or infrastructure," Chile's state emergency office said.
