6.9 is getting up there. These are warnings. The cities of Europe, Australia, and America are next. God has protected them, but cups are filling fast. The evil in these cities is increasing. Have they been warned? God is merciful!

Last week we experienced a baby earthquake.  They are rare where I live.  It made a huge crashing sound and the walls shook.  It's as though the whole surface of the earth is groaning and grinding.

A tsunami warning was issued for the Pacific islands of Vanuatu, New Caledonia and Fiji after a powerful earthquake struck Saturday, but then cancelled.

The U.S. Geological Service put the quake's magnitude at 7.6 and said it had hit about 85 miles west of the island of Tanna in Vanuatu.

It put the depth of the temblor — a key factor in how destructive it could be — at 15 miles.

The quake struck at 12:16 a.m. Sunday local time (8:16 a.m. Saturday ET), according to the USGS.

The world has been blessed with few casualties in the major quakes that have been occurring recently. But, time is running short. There are multitudes to still reach!

Earthquake Hits Argentina Is 7.0 Magnitude

A magnitude-7.0 earthquake struck northern Argentina early on Saturday morning. The powerful quake dissipated very deep, so it wasn't felt far away. Nearby towns barely shook. Usually if a tremor is shallow the force of the quake goes deep into the Earth, and fewer people feel it, as was the case in Argentina on Saturday.

What is going on with all these natural disasters? Quakes and tremors have occurred in places that rarely get them such as Oklahoma and Indiana. On Friday a tornado killed and injured many in Missouri and Arkansas, and it is a rare occurrence to have a tornado in late December.

Chile Hit With 7.2 Magnitude Earthquake
Joe Weisenthal | Jan. 2, 2011, 3:38 PM

A 7.2 magnitude earthquake just struck near Temuco Chile, and 102 miles from Concepcion Chile. Bear in mind the 2010 earthquake was an 8.8, and it was closer to the capital Santiago, so it's likely the damage will be significantly less.

92 tremors have rattled Yingjiang County in southwest China's Yunnan Province over the past three days. Around 142,000 people have been affected, with more than 8,000 houses damaged by Tuesday morning. This is in the same area were so many were killed in the 2008 quake.

Strong 6.9 quake strikes off Vanuatu

(AFP) – 3 hours ago

SYDNEY — A strong 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck beneath the sea near the south Pacific island nation of Vanuatu, but no tsunami warning was issued, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said Sunday.

There were no immediate reports of damage from the quake, which hit at 9:03pm (1003 GMT) at a depth of 31.1 kilometres (19.3 miles), 110 kilometres from the town of Isangel on Tanna island, the USGS said.

The quake was the latest in a series of undersea tremors near the island, which is home to an active volcano.

A powerful 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck the area on December 26, triggering a small tsunami exactly six years after giant waves killed 220,000 people around the Indian Ocean, but there were no reports of damage or casualties.

The SDA Church has missionaries on that island. I pray they are able to continue their work and that these happenings will get the native people more curious to know what the missionaries have to share.

Earthquakes are a sign of the soon coming of Jesus. They are happening more frequently and of stronger shocks. Some will sleep on to their destruction. :(

A massive, 7.0 magnitude earthquake has struck off the new Caledonia islands in the Southern Pacific, the USGS reports.

The quake was initially measured at 7.3, before it was downgraded after review by a seismologist. It was centered 85 miles SSW of Vanuatu, and 80 miles NNE of the Loyalty Islands. This puts it nearly than 1,100 miles from Australia.

Earthquake in Karachi & Dubai

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck various parts of the country, the US Geological Survey reported on Tuesday.

It said the quake, initially reported as a magnitude 7.3, was very shallow at a depth of 6.3 miles (10 km). It struck 34 miles (55 km) west of Dalbandin at 1:23 a.m. local time on Wednesday (2023 GMT on Tuesday).

The Pacific Tsunami Center said the onshore quake had not triggered a tsunami in the Indian Ocean.

A major quake of this magnitude is capable of causing widespread and heavy damage.
