DOES JESUS CARE?

Does the drink help your pain
When you wake up in the morn?
Does Jesus care for us
When the heart is so torn?
He came to save the lost
The suffering and ill.
How do we trust in Him
Instead of drink or pill?

"Come to me" He says,
"Find safety in My Love.
"Trust is my Holy Word
"That I sent from above.
The biggest evidence
That God really cares,
Is how it changes us
How He heals all the tares.

He can heal the broken heart
That's bleeding and in pain.
He can heal the broken body
Leaving everything to gain.
He can take away the need
Of drink and other things,
When we lean upon His Love
We see the change that it brings.

Amen, Sister Marie. Very beautiful! Jesus is the answer to all of our needs!
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.

Just what I needed Sister Marie. I had to take pain meds for dry socket and so I had to start the withdrawal process all over again. It's miserable. Your words give me a little more reason to lean on Him.

Thank you,
Wendy

I have no doubt that God considers you to be one of His friends; otherwise He would not trust you with so many crosses, sufferings and humiliations. Crosses are God's means of drawing souls closer to Himself.

Science Doesn't Fit The Facts

To those lost in the religion of science

Those who deny the existence of God
Face obsticles tall, wide, and broad
Let's take just for instance
The beginning of man's existance
They believe they've found a viable solution
In a childish theory called evolution
Thus those who hold logic in such high esteem
Cling to a theory with the logic of a child's dream
Observe, No human couple has ever gave birth to a hyena
Nor fo that matter a rhino, horse, or a cheetah
Really it's as simple as that
The theory doesn't fit the fact

But it says in Genisis, let every creature after it's own kind
In procreation this truth you always observe and find
Once again the bible is as simple as that
It always fits the fact

Oh the evidence of their fallacy is quite ample
Let me give you another simple sample
While I do believe in a Big Bang, it is because
Very simply, God spoke, and BANG! it was
But tell me, if you can, of any explosion you've seen
That left the after path ordered and clean?
You Can't simple as that
The theory doesn't fit the fact

But the Bible declares, God sets the Stars in their place
The ocean goes thus far and ends it's chase
And as you see it is simple as that
The Bible fits the fact

"In the beginning was the Word...And the Word was God."
I wonder why you think it odd?
There is order all around you
Look and you see it is true
No accident put the earth in place
It is really a matter of Grace
It's as simple as that
Your theory will never fit the fact

Now as any with half a brain can clearly see is true
( and perhaps I am not wrong in including you)
The Bible alone Fits the Fact
And That, dear class, is that

Author's Comments:
"The Bible has been accused of being wrong scientifically, but often science itself has been proven wrong. Once scientist believed the earth was flat, while Jerimiah said the earth was a circle or sphere. in nearly 2,000yrs the Bible hasn't changed. in the last 2 yrs science has changed every day. I'm not saying science is bad, but the bible should never be judged by science, science should be judged by the Bible. It's the Gospel truth, not a scientific fact. professer barry is done you can relax"

I found this at the Poet's Workshop ....  I just had to share it!!   :)

THE OPEN DOOR

Darkened day, moods downunder
Cares too heavy, joy all plundered.
How can I see the light of day
When all that's seen is days of gray?

The Lord told me kindly, happiness is a choice
No matter how hard,  one can rejoice.
Trust thou in me, strength I can give
Latch unto me my child and live.

I have open doors that you do not see
They will open for you when you trust in me.
If only to give you strength for the day
That's all you need is to walk My way.

There are several keys in learning to live
One is to forget self and learn to give.
Another is attitude, check this when in prayer
Then when God opens doors, you'll have faith.....to follow Him there.

Sure Footed

Cold winds chilled me to the bone
As I walked the road alone.
Rain beats upon my freezing face
Where I was, there wasn’t a trace.

I head up to the mountains
Looking for that special fountain.
The wind pushes me back down
I have failed such a frown.

But I head back up that mountain
Still to find that fountain.
There is no other way
At the bottom I won’t stay.

Hail comes hard and strong
Preventing me from moving along.
Bruising my body and my hopes
Causing me to loose my safety ropes.

Ice was piling everywhere
Each step to take with gentle care.
My footing slipping more and more
Then freezing rain begins to pour.

A vision of The Living Water came
As my last step was not the same.
I lost my footing and my hold
Fear gripped me, I was freezing cold.

Then I seen the golden fountain
Shining there in the mountain.
The Living Water came to me
And reached His Hand to set me free.

The storm was still a-raging
The icy rain was gauging.
But He made me so sure footed
Knowing now that I was rooted.

Jesus is The Living Water
Keeping us from sure self-slaughter.
He shows us all how to win
And takes our foot away from sin.

Do you feel you’re climbs not worth it
That you’re falling without a grip?
Reach you mind to Christ and live
Receive the Gift He has to give.

Be in life sure footed…
In Christ completely rooted!
And when the storms of life assail
You’ll walk with Him and not fail!

A Day Forgotten

A friend once said to me one day
“Keep the Ten Commandments, say?
I heard that they were thrown away
On the crucifixion day”.

“You mean to say I can steal and kill?”
I said to him, feeling ill.
“Oh no,” he said, “you must obey
To steal and kill is wrong, you’ll pay!”

“Okay,” I said,” two laws (of ten) are sure
They are solid and they are pure.
“Well then to take my neighbors man
Must be alright if I can.”

“Oh no,” he said, “you must obey
Adultery’s wrong and you will pay.”
I scratched my head, a mental note
Three commands okay I wrote.

To make a longer story short
I gave to God’s laws "each" support.
And to each one he said, “Oh No”
I scratched my head, another blow.

But when I came to the one that said
“Remember” it was forgotten instead.
“Now that one was changed, you know
“I don’t remember why although.”

Can’t figure why one out of ten
Was forgotten to keep of men.
They keep it in their own way
Even changing God’s Holy Day.

Only one commandment said,
“REMEMBER” is the way it read.
And most the world forgot this law
The one that said Remember of all.

God must have known a counterfeit
Would make the world to forfeit
The Only Day God Sanctified by his love
And blessed for us from above.

O Lord, Thy fingers fashioned Calvary's hill;
Those skull-like stones were surely Thine intent.
Well did'st Thou know, Thy Body dead and still
Would crown its slopes and ev'ry rock be rent.

O Lord, 'twas in Thy mind, the tree was born,
With living strength to point men up to Thee.
Yet did'st Thou know, Thy members strained and torn
Would hang from lifeless wood, and lifeless be . . . .

O Lord, 'twas Thou, who molded common dust;
Breathed forth Thy life into this house of clay.
Yet did'st Thou know mankind, corrupted, must
Thine own pure vessel mar and cast away.

O Lord, my parts were written with Thy pen,
Ere I was formed within my mother's womb.
Lord of my life, 'twas I who slew Thee then,
My sin and curse inscribed, which sealed Thy tomb . . . .

Enough O Lord! Thy conquest is complete.
Thy love foreknew yet bore the shame for me.
Mine outpoured soul shall lave [wash]Thy pierced feet;
Thy great forgiveness bind my soul to Thee.

The Ship and the Lighthouse

So far out in the angry sea
This boat ventured out that day.
They’re every thought so light
They soon forgot their way.

The hours passed without a thought
So rapped up in their fun,
They did not see the coming storm
Until the storm begun.

Now too late they see their fate
And soon they’re tossed so free.
The waves roll them to and foe
They were swept way out to sea.

The motor giving up the ship
No more would start again,
The hulls tempting to fall apart
Never to be what they had been.

The waters weight taking over,
Giving in to waves of power,
Hope is fading every moment
They knew this was their hour.

Then in the darkened angry skys
They seen a light so bright,
There in the middle of the sea
They were given hope that night.

Below the light a tremendous Rock
There this Lighthouse was built so strong,
Standing tall in the middle of the storm
It has been there for so long.

The Rock is Jesus Christ
The Lighthouse is His Word,
In them you will find safety
It’s the Best News ever heard.

Are you sinking today in sin?
Find the Lighthouse in the storm.
It will lead you to The Son of God
Let Him, your life transform.

The Example of the Geese

Geese won’t follow a wayward goose
To do so would be considered loose.
For Geese are a tight knit group
They are a solid straight-forward troop.

The leader’s flapping wings create
For his followers an “uplift” state.
The “V” formation adds flying range
Never a good thing would they change.

We spend time together, flocks of a feather
Will help us get to where we’re going better.
Christ has created a “uplift” for His Flock
Like the geese there’s no need for a worldly clock.

When we follow close to our Creators Leading
The gift of the “Uplift” we are always seeding.
Dropping a uplift some here and some there
Giving to others some of our share.

So we do seed then we shall find
It will return to us every time.
Following precession geese make their “V”
We too can live just this free.

Where Was The Turn-around?

I sat there looking pretty
In the store with many more.
I was so new and hansom
Entertainment I could pour.

I have a VHS for all the old-times
And DVD and cable hook-ups.
Even Net TV. is offered
More than enough for the puppets.

If none of this is enough
There is satellite my set will give,
I have something for everyone
Till they forget how to live.

That’s a hidden fact however
So don’t go passing it around,
Or they may stop their buying,
If the Truth they have found.

Hours a day they spend before me
Forgetting so much more.
The things in life that mean so much
Now-days become a bore.

They’d rather watch me day by day
The violence so appalling,
The more I tend to offer
‘Cause for it they are calling.

They don’t even bother to stop the kids
Sex they find so appealing.
The kids just soak it in
From nature’s ways they are stealing.

They wonder why this little boy
They seen grow up so sweet,
Ends us raping some young thing
And hits for a repeat.

Or why some children so tender
Grew up a different way,
And ended up with hate so deep
Someone had to pay.

So innocent young children
Are shot down in cold blood,
What made the shooter change so
What made the hatred bud?

TV’s just entertainment
Can’t be blamed for all the pain,
If that were true then tell me
Why do people act insane?

There have always been problems
Of this there is no doubt.
But since TV has entered
There has been a Turn-about.

What we allow our ears to hear
And our eyes to feast upon,
Is what our heart will thrive for
And what our life will spawn.

Author's Comments:
"TV of course is not to blame for everything because drugs are to blame for so much also. But TV has been molding our minds all these years and has made a tremendous impact on our minds. So slow a impact that it is not even noticed. That is the most dangerous part of it. We can blame far more on TV then I believe we realize."

Author's Comments:
"And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Gen. 2:3 Written in God’s own hand in stone… the Ten Commandments. (Not written by man) Gives the idea it was a solid law that was never to be changed. The one changed the most (by man, not God) is the forth Commandment (the third for our Catholic brother's and sisters) “REMEMBER” THE Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, not thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservent, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates, for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is them is, and rested the seventh day, wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.” Gen. 20: 8-11 (Not one in seven, but the SEVENTH-DAY) "

Gentle Words And Truth

To Biblical Truth........

Gentle words our Master spoke
When He walked upon this earth,
Gentle questions He asked of men
To show them “His” true worth.

Gentle loving healings He preformed
For people so very ill back then,
He had pity on the suffering ones
Their body and heart to mend.

He drew them with His cords of love
To a place so safe called “Truth”,
But they all had their own ideas
They’d had since in their youth.

They wanted a ruler with special power
To take away the Roman yoke.
But Jesus spoke of Biblical Truth
His message did provoke.

How is it now with us today
When we are told of Biblical Truth,
Are we willing to follow it with joy
Or stick to the traditions of our youth?

Jesus Is Still Walking

As He was then, He still is today

Jesus walked the streets of dust that day
When a father cried and pled,
My son is ill and needs your hand
“Thy son liveth” is what Christ said.

Jesus walked the streets of dust that day
When he met ten under Satan’s spell,
How He longed to heal them there
And soon they all were well.

Jesus walked the streets of dust that day
As a women close to Him did stay,
‘If only I could touch His garment’, she thought
He “felt” her touch, she was healed that way.

Jesus walks the halls of your heart today
He sees all the things you suffer,
Do you desire His healing touch
Or would you rather play it tougher?

Surrender to His Love for you my friend
And heal your heart He will,
You’ll have a peace within the storm
And you’ll feel His presence still.

CONSCIENCE

Synonyms of Conscience follow
A moral sense of right and wrong.
Scruples that are very high
Making our life very strong.

Ethics that make our life good
Morality that really counts.
A sense of shame when wrong
Is how it all amounts.

We will live to stand up tall
With a conscious effort to do right.
We’ll teach our children what is good
And stick to it day and night.

Remaining conscious of the true way
Regardless of temptations pull.
Gaining strength from above
Making life so full.

It pays to be in touch you see
With what is right and wrong,
And with Daniel determined be
A Christian who is strong.

In Every Manner

The last years of probation quickly passing by
The great day of the Lord is closing in.
Every energy we possess today
Spend in overcoming sin.

It is time that we gave heed to the Word of God
Standing under the blood-stained banner,
Seeing our accountability to Christ,
Following Him in every manner.

Prepare the world for my coming is soon at hand
Give evidence of their dependence on Me,
I give you the power needed to teach
And help all the world to see.

Awake to our responsibilities that lay before us now
Today a flood of light is shining from His Word,
Tithes and offerings given so important
So the gospel story can be heard.

Had the purpose of God been carried out to this world
In giving the message of mercy to every one,
Christ would have come to take us home
His Work for Mankind Done.

Jesus Is Calling Today

JESUS is our Master, our brother and Savor true
He has the POWER to save me and you.
He will always bare the marks in His hands and FEET
And daily it is Him that we should seek.

He has an Angel ARMY that is there to help us through
There isn’t a POWER that can overcome me or you.
We need to give our Lord our whole HEART
And He will have MERCY to help us not depart.

He’ll give us GRACE and LOVE to share with all so bold
FORGIVENESS for even enemies we will daily hold.
SINNERS will hear the CALLING, that means you and me
But if we don’t surrender we’ll loose eternity.

Do you hear His CALLING, in your HEART today?
Do you feel His MERCY, attend you in your way?
Do you see His GRACE, reaching out to you?
Do you know His LOVE, is waiting there so true?

Accept His POWER today, you have none on your own
He has a ARMY faithful, to help you make it home,
Give your HEART to JESUS, His LOVE for you is shown
Heed today His CALLING, kneel before His Throne.

It’s our LOSS if we don’t listen
To His beckon call,
And it is His LOSS too
Because for us He gave His All.
