1.4 Billion Audience in China

 There are about 60 million Christians in China out of 1.4 Chinese. The  Chinese Union Mission has a media center that is flourishing. "About 8 million Mandarin Voice of Hope radio programs are downloaded as podcasts every day in mainland China, according to Adventist World Radio, which also broadcasts the programs on shortwave from the Pacific island of Guam.

'We are thrilled that the good news of Jesus is being downloaded by so many people,'Robert Folkenberg Jr., president of the Chinese Union Mission, said Thursday. 'Can you think of any other media platform where we can share Jesus directly with people all across China — right into their computers and into their mobile phones where they can listen freely at their leisure? WOW, coming back around to the opportunity that Elder Lee SR (father of James Lee & grandfather of Elfred Lee) had, from Chiang Kai-shek in the 1920's - this time trying to fulfill the responsibility. 

Chiang Kai-shek had told Elder Lee SR to teach everyone in his government from him on down to the street sweepers - everything about Seventh Day Adventism, and promised him absolute protection.  Elder Lee SR had come to the states to assemble a team, but the pastors were all going back to get their "sheepskins" and he had to return to Chiang Kai-shek and explain that he could not assemble a sufficient crew to perform such a task.  This was in the late 1920's early 1930's.
