Yes it does and it's very good! Some lessons learned though in the process. The first time I tried to pop some the kernels just barely cracked. I had let the ears dry in the garage for 3 or 4 weeks and then removed the kernels. Apparently this wasn't long enough. So I removed the kernels from about half of my ears and placed them in an open shallow plastic container and just them dry on the counter for another 3 weeks or so. And wha-la!! My popcorn now popped just fine and believe it or not I had hardly of the popcorn "fluff" or those things that get stuck in your teeth. However, I'm thinking that's because I manually removed the kernels.
Now I had some family come into town at Christmas and I wanted them to try it. So gathered up my remaining ears and removed the kernels. However, I met the same failure as the first time. Apparently they don't dry out very well while still attached to the ears. Lesson learned.... remove kernels and let dry while testing them in a hot air popper every couple of weeks.
