Separating Bulbs
« on: August 20, 2012, 07:55:17 AM »
Last year I acquired these lilies. They are very common, so outside of their luxurious beauty, they are still just lilies. My question is, do I separate them in the fall as I would typical Day Lilies?

At the moment, they are bound together as they came from the nursery. Some say lilies thrive bound, others say, separate them and they have more room to grow. Their blooms are spent and their leaves are beginning to turn yellow (not for lack of water). Where I live, fall is in the air, so the time to separate is nigh upon me.

What is your experience?

I haven't a clue, Sybil, but aren't they beautiful!
