US Stock Market Sinks
« on: August 04, 2011, 10:26:30 PM »
The Dow Jones Industrial average fell over 500 points today. All of the gains since January of this year have been wiped out. Some say this may indicate a double dip recession, but others say that it is merely a deepening of the depression.  Another sign that the end is near.  One crisis after another to awaken all who can be.  Jesus is even at the doors!!

What will happen next? It won't be long.

Was just talking with Ed Reid here at ASI in Sacramento about this. S & P also downgraded the US debt rating late this afternoon.  Ominous.  He noted that one of the triggers of Sunday legislation is to be financial crisis. Leaders will try in vain to put things on a more solid footing.  He was saying that there are now dual movements in Europe and here in America (Sept. 18) to press for Sunday legislation.  It seems more than ironic that these things are all happening at the same time.

Yes, is it not amazing when prophecy revealing the end the world is being fulfilled right in front of our eyes and many sleep on!  We are told the last steps will be rapid ones.  I wonder how many are going to find themselves stuck in the city without any food?

Yesterday, the first day of trading after Standard and Poor's downgraded U.S. credit to AA+ from the top-level ranking of AAA, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down more than 630 points, or 5.5 percent. The last week has seen a devastation to the market that has caused concern throughout the world. England's stock market suffered great losses also.

Seems that disasters continue world-wide as we have been told would happen just prior to the second coming.

Hi, Richard - just saw your post and agree.

All eyes will be on the Federal Reserve when it releases its monetary policy statement at 2:15 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Investors will likely pour over the central bank's announcement for hints that the Fed will take steps to stabilize markets, and revitalize the slowing economic recovery to avoid a double-dip recession.

"Everyone's looking to them at this point for the exact language they use to describe the economy, and then we have to decode it," said Lee Smith, vice president of Cozad Asset Management. "I think they'll have to recognize that we're in a soft patch, but they'll probably say it's not a recession."
- CNN Money http://money.cnn.com/2011/08/09/markets/markets_newyork/index.htm#comments

CNN reported the Feds would literally flood the market with cash - more than an infusion, by buying back Treasuries in an effort to stabilize & revitalize.

"They are struggling in vain to place business operations on a more secure basis." 9T, 13.

The Fed's decision was to hold interest rates through 2013.

There is little they can do. It is a political matter and they have spent themselves into a very large hole. Flooding the world with paper money is understood to create more problems.  It is not an answer to make things better. But, in the long term there is much they can do, but they do not care about what God thinks, so we are going home soon!  Sounds good to me!! Oh, there will be some very soon who will say they care what God thinks and they will attempt to place things on a better footing, but since they reject Scripture, they too will fail.

What will happen next?  Earthquake? It is coming soon.

I spent much time on the road yesterday and so listened to some radio. On a secular program with commentary on the economy the speaker said that the US is doing fairly well considering its economic situation. He said that what affects the US alot is the instability of Europe and particularly Italy. This was interesting to hear in light of our understanding of the role of the Vatican.
