California is burning. So is New Mexico. Strong, destructive storms continue in the center of the US as Oklahoma City is hit again. We know this is a sign of the times. May God comfort His people on this holy Sabbath day.

Not included are floods, fires, pestilence, etc.

2013  Philippines hurricane. Largest storm in world history  possibly 10,000 dead

The Most Deadly 100 Natural Disasters of the 20th Century  http://www.disastercenter.com/disaster/TOP100K.html

Satan works through the elements also to garner his harvest of unprepared souls. He has studied the secrets of the laboratories of nature, and he uses all his power to control the elements as far as God allows. When he was suffered to afflict Job, how quickly flocks and herds, servants, houses, children, were swept away, one trouble succeeding another as in a moment. It is God that shields His creatures and hedges them in from the power of the destroyer. But the Christian world have shown contempt for the law of Jehovah, and the Lord will do just what He has declared that He would--He will withdraw His blessings from the earth and remove His protecting care from those who are rebelling against His law and teaching and forcing others to do the same. Satan has control of all whom God does not especially guard. He will favor and prosper some, in order to further his own designs; and he will bring trouble upon others and lead men to believe that it is God who is afflicting them.  {CH 460.2}

     While appearing to the children of men as a great physician who can heal all their maladies, he will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation. Even now he is at work. In accidents and calamities by sea and by land, in great conflagrations, in fierce tornadoes and terrific hailstorms, in tempests, floods, cyclones, tidal waves, and earthquakes, in every place and in a thousand forms, Satan is exercising his power. He sweeps away the ripening harvest, and famine and distress follow. He imparts to the air a deadly taint, and thousands perish by the pestilence. These visitations are to become more and more frequent and disastrous. Destruction will be upon both man and beast. "The earth mourneth and fadeth away," "The haughty people . . . do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant." Isaiah 24:4, 5.  {CH 461.1}

   That is quite a list and yet it surely will pail compared to what is coming. The following may not resonate with most because it only involved animals but is out of the norm. Thousands of cattle died last month in the blizzard in South Dakota that brought over 23 inches of snow in OCTOBER.

...and the flooding that occurred in the front range mountains, foot hills and into the plains of Colorado not too long ago. A lot of damage done was not reported by news sources. From what I understand, as far as records kept by the National Weather Service, this flood was the largest, most damaging and most expensive on record in Colorado. The road at the mouth of the canyon from Loveland to Estes Park was 80% damaged. Some sections of the road were 30 feet above the river, and were completely wiped away because the flood waters rose so high. Many live and travel in those canyons. Amazingly, the loss of life was low. I think God saved many people. I believe it also shows that what many think in this world as impossible... is now possible. God is trying to get people's attention.

Amen and welcome Jefferson. The good news is that God will help us as He brings about an end to the great controversy. It is a promise of comfort through the darkest hours on earth. He will see us through.

In case those in California are feeling left out you have some sypmathizers in Brazil.

Brazil's largest city could run dry in less than 100 days if the city's government doesn't act, Brazil's Public Ministry said.

São Paulo, a city of more than 9 million people, is facing one of its worst water shortages in years, brought on by the worst drought to hit São Paulo state in 84 years, the Associated Press reports.

The Cantareira watershed, which supplies 45 percent of the São Paulo metro's population with water, is less than 100 days from running dry, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Interesting, the front that is at this time sweeping the entire United states from east to west. It spans from New Mexico on the west all the way through Maine on the east. 11 or more dead from tornados in the south and large amounts of snow being dumped as the front slowly moves north.

We thought there were so many disasters in 2015......there is no need to  report them any longer, they come one after another, and sometimes at the same time.....world-wide.

The tempest is coming and we must get ready for its fury by having repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord will arise to shake terribly the earth. We shall see troubles on all sides. Thousands of ships will be hurled into the depths of the sea. Navies will go down, and human lives will be sacrificed by millions. Fires will break out unexpectedly and no human effort will be able to quench them. The palaces of earth will be swept away in the fury of the flames. Disasters by rail will become more and more frequent. Confusion, collision, and death without a moment’s warning will occur on the great lines of travel. The end is near, probation is closing. Oh, let us seek God while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near!—Messages to Young People, 89, 90 (1890).

In the last scenes of this earth’s history war will rage. There will be pestilence, plague and famine. The waters of the deep will overflow their boundaries. Property and life will be destroyed by fire and flood. We should be preparing for the mansions that Christ has gone to prepare for them that love Him.—Maranatha, 174 (1897).

Jesus wanted to come in around 1888, but the church was not cooperating.

The enemy has worked, and he is working still. He is come down in great power, and the Spirit of God is being withdrawn from the earth. God has withdrawn His hand. We have only to look at Johnstown [Pennsylvania]. He did not prevent the devil from wiping that whole city out of existence. [On May 31, 1889, an estimated 2,200 people lost their lives in the Johnstown flood when a dam broke after many days of heavy rains.] And these very things will increase until the close of this earth’s history.—Sermons and Talks 1:109 (1889).

The earth’s crust will be rent by the outbursts of the elements concealed in the bowels of the earth. These elements, once broken loose, will sweep away the treasures of those who for years have been adding to their wealth by securing large possessions at starvation prices from those in their employ. And the religious world, too, is to be terribly shaken, for the end of all things is at hand.—Manuscript Releases 3:208 (1891).

The time is now come when one moment we may be on solid earth, the next the earth may be heaving beneath our feet. Earthquakes will take place when least expected.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 421 (1896).

In fires, in floods, in earthquakes, in the fury of the great deep, in calamities by sea and by land, the warning is given that God’s Spirit will not always strive with men.—Manuscript Releases 3:315 (1897).

Before the Son of man appears in the clouds of heaven everything in nature will be convulsed. Lightning from heaven uniting with the fire in the earth will cause the mountains to burn like a furnace and pour out their floods of lava over villages and cities. Molten masses of rock thrown into the water by the upheaval of things hidden in the earth will cause the water to boil and send forth rocks and earth. There will be mighty earthquakes and great destruction of human life.—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:946 (1907).

Satan is working in the atmosphere; he is poisoning the atmosphere, and here we are dependent upon God for our lives—our present and eternal lives. And being in the position that we are, we need to be wide awake, wholly devoted, wholly converted, wholly consecrated to God. But we seem to sit as though we were paralyzed. God of heaven, wake us up!—Selected Messages 2:52 (1890).

It is indeed true, Satan has been working to poison the atmosphere. But, God is in absolute control and He allows this, but all things work for our good and His glory as we abide in Christ.

What can we expect to see not far away? Who has not seen what is happening in California, most pointedly, San Francisco? God has been long-suffering towards San Francisco. The ultimate end of this wicked city will come not from below, but from above and will begin with a  giant earthquake. God has sent warnings to what is Sodom and Gomorrah. First in the 1906 quake and fire which destroyed much of the city , then in 1989 when the eyes of the world were on Oakland and San Francisco. The world series of baseball was being played in San Francisco. Oakland As were playing against the San Francisco Giants when the quake hit. The death toll was higher in Oakland than San Francisco. We had a permit from the City of San Francisco to pass out the Great Controversy the weekend following the earthquake. God caused both earthquakes as warnings to both Oakland and San Francisco to turn from their wicked ways. How much longer will He wait? Are there still ten in the city that can be saved?

Look up our redemption draweth nigh!
