For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth
« on: January 08, 2011, 01:22:54 PM »
This Sabbath morning was bright and clear and a whole 6 degrees F. It might have been a little chilly but I was compelled to stop and take a couple of pictures on my way to church this morning. I was thankful for such a creator that could overwhelm with me awe of such beauty that only He can give us.

Job 37:6  For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth;...

Job 38:22  Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow?...

Psa 147:16  He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.

By communion with God in nature, the mind is uplifted, and the heart finds rest.  {DA 291.1}

I agree. We have had freezing fog in the mornings and everything is covered with a thick layer of frost for hours after sun-up. Dazzling to the eyes.  8)

Amid the cold, dark, death of winter, God creates beauty to remind us of His love and care and that soon winter will be over. He takes sin and turns it to good.
Jesus receives His reward when we reflect His character, the fruits of the Spirit......We deny Jesus His reward when we do not.
