There's an interesting text in 2 Peter 1:4 which says, "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:
that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."
Until recently, I had a difficult time trying to "put this together", but after comparing several texts, I believe I found an answer.
Key texts for me are:
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Joh 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
And then in the book Maranatha, Oct 21, I found the answer to the puzzle.
What are your thoughts?
"Do not ask the Lord to guide your footsteps if you're not willing to move your feet."
