Bush or Kerry?

by Richard Myers

September 1

Tonight at the Republican national convention there was heard a clear line of distinction between the Republican candidate, George W. Bush and John F Kerry the Democratic candidate. When a prominent Democrat speaks in favor of a Republican presidential candidate it is unusual. Tonight we heard just that. Senator Zell Miller, Democrat from Georgia is a Christian. A man of integrity who spoke words of truth regarding the differences between the two candidates. Not all in the Democratic party are anti Christ. There are a few left who find themselves not able to support those who hate the Bible and Bible truth.

Senator Miller spoke honestly about his dislike for the course pursued by the senators from Massachusetts (Kerry and Kennedy). He spoke highly of the character of George W. Bush.

He encouraged voters to look at Kerry's voting record. "Twenty years of votes can tell you much more about a man than twenty weeks of campaign rhetoric. Campaign talk tells people who you want them to think you are. How you vote tells people who you really are deep inside.

Senator Kerry has made it clear that he would use military force only if approved by the United Nations. Kerry would let Paris decide when America needs defending. I want Bush to decide. John Kerry, who says he doesn't like outsourcing, wants to outsource our national security."

It was the kind of speech that would make a good Christian want to vote for George W. Bush. As good as it sounded, we know that there are serious problems with George W. Bush's policies regarding church and state. He does not understand Protestantism and has joined hands with Roman Catholicism, and for political gain supports California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is socially liberal and in favor of abortion and homosexuality. This is a compromise that God cannot bless.

The Democrats openly fight against God, so many American Christians will be tempted to vote for President Bush. If they do they will have to accept responsibility for what he does in regards to breaking down the wall of separation between church and state. The Great Controversy is entering its final phase and soon America will lead the world in giving homage to the beast through religious legislation.
